I am not sure if I hit a wrong button or what but on some of my pics when I downloaded them on my comp they came out as 16 little pics on one picture I hope I am making myself clear. when I took the picture and I reviewd them on the camera they looked fine it was just after they were downloaded that they came up this way.
I have a sony cybershot model dsc-h1

How did you download load them onto your computer?

are you accidentally using multi-burst mode? multi-burst takes 16 images in very rapid succession and displays them in the manner you described. not a very useful function, to say the least.

its the exact same pcture so I don't think its multiburst. and I downloaded the same was I always do some pics came up this way while others did not. there were about 20 in a rown then a few random throughout.

multiburst takes 16 images in about 1/2 second or so...if you check them closely, you will find that they have tiny differences in them. think 16 frames of a movie that differ ever so slightly.

after very careful examination you are right there are very slight differences! thats what I must have done now to figure out how I did it, not to do it again, and figure out why somebody would want to do this feature LOL thanks so much!!!!!!!!

it would be neat for a kid's baseball swing or something like that but that's about all it would be useful for. a gimmicky mode used to sell cameras, but not very useful. glad i was able to help.

If you click on one of the 16 little pictures does it expand to full size with full detail?

for that to be the case, the camera's internal memory would have to be increased by 16 times and your photograph would take up 16 times more space on your memory stick.
btw...great gandhi sig....
