Sony Cybershot

i just got this camera for my birthday and i dont know much about it, but i was wondering if anyone had one of these cameras and if they knew of anytips for taking night time pictures or taking pictures of fireworks!!!

on my users guide it says sony cybershot DSC-W100. I'm not sure if thats considered the model # or not, though! I hope it is, and i hope someone can help me:)
