Hi Blue-
It seems we need to get a thread started. I hope everyone is doing great!!
I thought I'd get the ball rolling. How is everyone doing on the new exercise challenge? And of course weigh in?
Post your results and I'll keep them updated on this post.

As for me I'm down another 3 pounds for last week (a total of 8 now) and have been exercising my buns off! 45 min yesterday on the bike and 20 min this morning (hopefully more later in the day)

Hey!!!

I decided to get off my butt for the exercise challenge. So, far i did 21 minutes on the elliptical yesterday and 24 minutes on the elliptical today. I am going to try to do it longer each day.

Well, I've done better this week with the exercise challenge.

So far this is what I've got...

Weds 30 mins aerobic, 30 mins on the gazelle
Thurs 30 mins aerobic
Fri 30 mins aerobic
Sat none :duck:

i didn't WI last week -- i was in VEGAS BABY! yes, i lost my BUTT there, now it's time to lose it here in OHIO!

great trip -- great shows and yes, great food! i don't have much time now, off to church but already dreading a wed. WI so this is my refocus!!

everyone? EVERYONE? please check in, even if you are not where you had set in your mind, chatter will keep our team alive!

Yes- the "feeble" mom is back in Ohio, too and struggling this morning with Vegas withdrawals (already thinking about our next girl's trip in 2 years though), BUT the good news is that I am going to be regrouping today transitioning, tomorrow, is my first day of NO CHEATING and losing this extra middle roll before the January trip to WDW :teeth:

MelC I have been thinking I might need the official WW join too - am going to try for a week and see if I can get the "mojo" myself (and from all of YOU) going first.

I, like ohMom, am dreading that Wed WI but it will be what it will be............................. my system is so used to chocolate (FABULOUS no flour chocolate cake desserts at both Emeril's Fish House and Mesa Grill (Bobby Flay's) restaurants - nice having a DD who watches the food channel and wants us to experience the finer things in life................. :goodvibes She is switching "gears" and now will be making those ressies for the January trip - my duty until then is to lose, lose, lose and then ~~~ what a reward fabulous meals at WDW - already know one will be at Boma, love it there! :goodvibes

I saw the exercise challenge for the team - sorry so far nothing for me to add - but Monday will back into that routine - actually that will be incentive for me to roll out and get my butt moving in the morning!

so guess the wrap-up is I'm back - and you will be seeing me EVERYDAY because I need the team support to keep me motivated

Welcome Back Molli and Bev!! It sound like you had a good time in Vegas. As you can see we've faltered a bit without you here. And welcome back princess@heart, so very sorry to hear about your hospitalization. I hope you recover quickly!

Oh my gosh you've been a busy girl Brooke 120 min is GREAT! I know I also slacked off on Sat as well (but I'll use that as my off day instead of my normal Tue)

As for me I finished off the Sept exer challenge with 1220/1200, I was hoping to do more, but as I already said, I blew off everything yesterday! I have now committed myself to 1500 min for Oct, I don't know if I'm nuts or not! Hey, maybe that 1 extra day in Oct will make the difference! I have been really good with my eating though, and my water consumption is great. I'm so psyched I got myself a new clippie this morning!! :Pinkbounc I had actually lost the pounds a few days ago, but I wanted to verify it for a couple of days before claiming the new clippie!! I have now lost 37/55 pounds. My goal was to lose 55 lbs by my Dec trip, and I'm so happy to be able see that it's doable with reasonable losses of 2 lbs a week!!! I will have 20-30 more to lose after we get back, but this a more reasonable goal.

OK Blue Team let's get motivated!! Let's see if we can win this exercise challenge!!!
I'm getting off right now to hop the bike, what about you..........?

:wave: Everyone,

Where is everyone this week. Come on in and play the waters great. I know everyone is busy, but how is everybody doing this week? I sure hope you are out there moving.

I went on a shopping spree today. I got 6 pairs of pants, 7 bras, 3 shirts and a zip up fleece vest for $128. Having properly sized clothing...priceless. But I have to hem some of the pants, as I think I complained too many times I couldn't find long enough pants and they all got longer. The ones I found were 36 inch inseam and I only need 34 inch, but the regular length was too short. I might have went a tad bit overboard but just about everything I own was too big, as I haven't really bought much new clothing and I've lost almost 50 pounds since January.

As for excercise

Wednesday: 30 minutes
Thursday:45 minutes
Friday:30 minutes
Saturday: None, cause I worked from 7:30am to 9pm, but I spent from 2pm to 9pm walking all over as I was helping to cater a wedding.
Sunday: 45 minutes hiking
Another 35 minutes on my stationary bike.

Total so far is 185 minutes

That's awesome Becky!!! 50 pounds!!!!! all that for $128 - you must be a super shopper! I'm eagerly awaiting my shopping spree, I do know that I need to go buy a few pairs of undergarments to hold me over, but for everything else I have plenty to pick from in the "dark recesses of my closet" until I get to my goal.

I think I appeased my guilt from yesterday's slacking and I did 100 min on the bike, I wanted to go more, but nature was calling (LOUDLY) since I had drank 1 1/2 liters of water!

Keep up the good work BLUE TEAM !!!

Not quite 50 pounds yet, I'm only at 47 pounds as of last weeks weigh in. I'm hoping for another 3 pounds this week so it will be 50 pounds.

I went to the VF outlet. I hit the clearance racks, as I hope to not be in the clothing long and didn't want to spend $30 to $40+ for a pair of pants as that is how much they are costing most places, even Walmart pants are like $30.

Bras I got were $4 to $8, some were originally priced at $34, suprisingly they had some nice looking ones in my size instead of Granny bras. Pants I got were $8 to $16 originally priced about $40 something and the shirts were all $10 and the vest was $12. It was friends and family weekend where they hand out coupons to businesses in the area that you can bring in and you save an additional 20% off of the prices.

I did another 35 minutes of excercise on my stationary bike so my total is now 185 minutes since Wednesday.

I'm doing pretty well on the exercise (I'll figure it out later) but the eating thing is NOT going well. The prednisone has REALLY stimulated the old appetite. I'm off it now- I hope the effects don't linger. I feel like I have gained 10 pounds. Of course it does cause fluid gain too so maybe in a day or two I will feel better.

well i think we do, where are we all?????? blue team members please post :confused3 if nothing else we look absent, the other teams each have a few pages of chatter this week!!

i see it's not to late for me to contribute to the exercise challenge and i will! i just got up, etc; but once my girls are off to school i'll walk. i may even go to yoga at noon too. we'll see, i have a ton of stuff to do this week, but then again that won't really change now will it.

my biggest goal for this week to get my eating totally and completely back on track. girls, i'm sure i'm going to be up this wed; but over the next couple weeks overall i'll get it back down to where i should be at this point of our challenge.

now here's the sad news, the BL show didn't record again for me while i was gone! i dont' get it! i'm going to have to monitor that cable box this wed night!!

I am doing ok on the eating side of things. I did have a slice of pizza last night :scared1:

But, i am back OP today. I'm going to burn it off on the elliptical today. Unfortunately , it time of the month so i am retaining some water,i hope it goes away by wednesday!! I didn't get to exercise this weekend because my hips hurt so bad(plus cramps) i could barely walk. :guilty:


So,i WILL do better today!! :yay:

HI guys! sorry I have been MIA for over a week. I had a gain last week, and honestly was too ashamed to post. :sad2: I gained back the pound I lost AND another one. the good news is, I peeked at the scale and those 2 pounds are already gone!

I did read the threads and Loved the football field info snagged from the purple team. AND because of the exercise thread, I got my butt up and started doing more exercise other than just walking the dogs. I am so excited about that... because it makes me feel so good! :banana:

More exciting news!!! Some of you may remember that I have a mommy and daughter trip planned for WDW next year. Well guess what??? I have now 2 more trips planned. DH and I are going to go to WI Dells sometime early next year for a couples get a way. :blush: :love: :hug: AND DS and I are going to go to Washington DC for a school trip in June. OMG, I am so excited I can't wait!!! So, I have 3 trips to look forward to and they are quite the motivators for me to loose some weight so I can thoroughly enjoy the trips! YIPEEE!

My exercise so far since last wednesday...

Wednesday 65 minutes
Thursday 75 minutes
Friday 100 minutes! :dance3:
Saturday 15 minutes
Sunday 15 minutes

although I worked so hard at work Sunday that I swear Is should get credit for exercise as well! :rolleyes1 (I am a nurse) We had to transport equipment back and forth 2 times for 2 cases and we were crazily running for over an hour just transporting things betweent the floors, that I literally had sweat running down my face.

So glad to be back in a good frame of mind. It feels so much better! :cool1:

Yay! 35 minutes is great!

I lost a lot the first week, then STOPPED!

I'm going to switch tactics.

I realized I was eating a lot of processed foods even though there weren't a lot of calories. As of today, I'm increasing my calories by 200 and eating only whole foods....no processed foods.

freshtressa -- that sounds like a great plan!! i've been wondering all afternoon what my snack will be and all i can think of are things like 100 cal packs, sugar free jello -- i need to start snacking on whole foods too!!

today I powerwalked 40 mins and went to noon yoga class which was 45 mins. then i came home and took a nap! LOL

Oh...the other thing that I realized I was missing was water. I know it is obvious, but I forgot about that!

Now I'm drinking a big glass every hour and am going to have a big tea when the kids get home.

Tea always makes me feel full.

today i'm going to my FC for a strength training workout. made it through yesterday eating wise OP, did get called into work for 3 hours in the late afternoon, came home and walked with my neighbor and crashed out! everytime i'm tempted to stray and snack I think of the really yummy desserts we had at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill and think nothing in my prepackaged goodies comes even close, nor is it worth it!!

vija -- how's your mcD's boycott going??

ok, Vija, i got to thinking about you and your mcD's weakness and how i so boldly check up on you here in public? maybe that's not fair -- unless of course i join you?!? seriously - for you it's mcDs but i'm a serious sweet tooth. maybe we should join forces and go cold turkey for a week. what do you think? i'll give up my sweets and you give up mcD's. we can report in EVERYDAY and not lose focus together??

anyone else think this may be a good idea for a little blue-team challenge starting tomorrow for a week??

princess@heart -- i'm going to PM my exercise totals to you here today. i did a 60 min session at the FC today

been listening to Dr. Phil's ultimate weight loss CDs in my van -- i popped in the one that talks about exercising. he says for overweight folks to lose weight, they must exercise 5 hours a week. i like good solid goals, clear cut like that

I'm finally back, Blue Team! I spent one week at Disney came home and almost immediately left for a conference in Chicago. I have to say, there will be a gain tomorrow morning. I ate out every meal for close to ten days! I hope it won't be terrible.

Also, I still have my foot in a boot, so I'm not doing any exercise yet. I have another MRI scheduled for tomorrow so I should know soon what the next step is.

Hope everyone had a great week! I'm back and on track as of today!

Hey ohMom, my boycott isn't going that well. I swear I should have bought stock in McD's! :rotfl2: I have found a holding pattern that is working for me. I can have it 2 times during the work week. So far so good. Now they started their monopoly game and I am addicted to that. :rolleyes: ;) However I am willing to go cold turkey on something else I love. Chips! I adore them :love: , and I will take up your challenge starting tomorrow if your game too!

Welcome back Jana, hope you had a great time at WDW!!!! Did you go to any of the halloween parties? If so, how were they? I am planning on going next year and I can't wait! :banana:

Oh, almost forgot my numbers...

exercise yesterday 45 minutes and today 70 minutes so my total is 285 minutes. :banana:

BUT, I saw the interesting info Ohmom put up from Dr. PHil that overweight people should exercise 5 hours a week. That would be then 300 minutes. So... I am going to set my goal next week to be 330 minutes. that is adding on 45 minutes from this weeks numbers. I know I can do that! I am so thankful for the team challenge because it got me motivated to get off my butt and put up some exercise numbers for the blue team... and Ohmom's info from Dr. Phil has me motivated to make sure I get in those 5 hours. Thanks guys! :yay:

So I had 15 minutes of excercise yesterday and 120 minutes today. Which brings my weekly total to 320 minutes if I did my :teacher: correctly.

I got my medical test results back today from the Dr. The only thing they found was reflux which I already knew I had. They don't know why I am having abdominal pain. I am to continue taking the medicine for the reflux and go back to the Dr.'s in 2 months.

I am posting on this thread since I knew I would be up (from the Vegas trip) and shoot I was right up 2 lbs (should be grateful only that much!) and my exercise total is 110 minutes to add.

I want to make TODAY my clean slate -start and moving forward and DOWNWARD - I hate this EXTRA roll around the middle - it's gotta go!!!

ohMom I will take you up on that sweet-tooth challenge and at least 5 hours of exercise next week too - I am like you I need something I can put into black and white - next week is a good one for me to get going ~ DH out of town all week and NO EXCUSE for me :teeth:

See you all on the new thread - and willing to accept a challenge!!!

P Vija - start this week by eliminating those chips and get that craving gone and then you will see that it is possible to move on to ridding yourself from McD's - have you tried the new Kashi trail mix bars - I really like them - 2 WW pts each and you could probably have a WHOLE box and still not come close to the pts consumed at McD's ................................. and BTW - ohMom - those bars are a bit sweet (with honey) they are allowed on our challenge - right - you are talking about -"out-n-out" sweets/chocolate right ???? Well, just detail the challenge - I am THERE :goodvibes

My exercise total was 205 for the week. Not great but not too bad! I have WW tonight and I think I am down some. Hopefully. It's been a rough couple of weeks for me!
