We went to Disney at the beginning of September. I was okay with the heat, but heat + humidty= misery. If Disney offers free dining again next year, we are thinking of going again. I'd like to push the trip to the end of September if it would make a difference temperature wise.

Does anyone know if it is cooler at the end of September? If free dining were to end on September 30, could you book Sep 30-Oct 9? Are the crowds any bigger?

Thanks!

An Orlando resident's view - It's still hot and humid for the most part through September and into October- we had a couple days where the humidty broke, but nothing drastic. Temps are still in the high 80s to low 90s.

The noticable temp changes this time of year are more in the morning and evenings.

We were there this time last year, and it was HOT! :sunny: We still had fun, though, because the crowds were really low, and we didn't have to stand out in the sun and bake for long periods of time. Prepare to drink LOTS of water!

I think that's a relative question. We were there Sept 4 - 14 and thought the weather was great. Not too hot and not very humid at all. Way better than Iowa when we left. Of course temps back home here dropped to 20 degrees below normal for this time of year while we were gone, so now we are all freezing!!! We had neighbors at our hotel from Canada who were miserable with what they thought was nearly opressive heat some days! So I think a lot of it depends on where you are from and what kind of weather you are used to. From old experiences, I didn't notice much difference between 2 trips in early Sept. compared to one in mid October, but that could easily change from year to year also as I've read some people had really cold October experiences.

It was hot on the third week - extra hot since we were lugging 3 kids under 5 and 2 carriages - But I figured all teh free food I ate was cancelled out by all the walking and sweating I have done and I feel great since I got back very energized I am ready to do it everyday. (Maybe not!) Take more pool breaks and pace yourself. :cool1:
