Yummy CS meals!- except one and half!

I would have to say- this past trip I had some of the BEST CS meals ever!

DH and I were on the DP so we HAD to do the CS and the TS meals- I actually thought the CS meals were filling enough to get me through the day-- I wasnt even hungry for TS meals! :guilty:

Wolfgang Puck Express- DTD was incredible! We actually ate there again on our last day and PAID for our meal! The Four Cheese Pizza - Mozzarella, fontina, parmesan, and creamy goat cheese with fresh basil, pesto sauce and fresh and sun-dried tomatoes was to die for!

The meals are huge! and the mango iced tea is a must!- I HATE mangos but this was great

- Actually all the unsweetend iced teas were great in all of the parks- got them with almost every meal. DH got the Linguini with Chicken Bolognese - Tossed with sauteed garlic and topped with Grandma Puck's sauce of ground chicken, tomato, celery, carrots, and garlic. and LOVED it! forgot to get a pic before he devoured it! He got the creme brulee for dessert- I am not a fan of this dessert, but he had to hand it over to me or I would have tackled him for it! and it was pretty big! :rotfl:

Tusker House Restaurant @ the AK- incredible! again- we ate there 2x! but used the plan both times- we had lunch there on Sat upon our arrival and DH liked it so much we went back to the park on Mon JUST for the food!
DH had 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken - Served with garlic mashed potatoes and fresh seasonal veggies both times and I had the Vegetable Sandwich both times- perfect! me- iced tea- DH root beer- another yummy in the parks!

Cosmic Rays- MK-- pretty good- but would still go back!
DH had the #3 Half Rotisserie Chicken - Served with mashed potatoes and a seasonal vegetable and I had the veggie burger and iced tea- the "toppings bar" made it even better- DH even put some toppings on his chicken.

Backlot Express @ MGM- perfect!
DH had Double Cheeseburger - Served with French fries and for dessert the parfait- I had the Grilled Vegetable Sandwich - Toasted roll, mushrooms, red peppers, zucchini, tomato, watercress, and cheese and the chocolate bundt cake and of course the iced tea!

Sunshine Season- EPCOT- The Land- great!!
DH had Grilled Salmon with Mashed Potatoes with Kalamata Olive Pesto

and I had of course, Grilled Vegetable Cuban Sandwich and the Key Lime pie!
(can you tell by now- I am a vegetarian??!)

Flatbread Grill @ MGM- yuck! for me anyway- I had my heart set on The backlot Express again- but it was closed! :guilty:
I got the Greek Salad with Lemon-Oregano Dressing (blah and boring!) and the chocolate cake and DH got the Grilled Chicken with Rice and Beans- would NOT go back! :sad2:

CS @ POFQ- just-OK.
I had a veggie sandwich and DH had a double cheeseburger- nothing to write home about. :guilty:

It's great to see such a positive review of vegetarian dining at WDW, and all that without even going into a full-service restaurant! Thanks for sharing.

Was that a great key lime dessert at Seasons or what? I know some key lime pies are very dense but that was light and airy.

I never had key line pie until a few years ago- the first one I had was very light and fluffy--- well- that is the way I thought they ALL were- but that wasnt the case- so I gave up on them---- UNTIL SEASONS! :banana:

I had that pizza on Sunday (from WPE) and it WAS good. Yum yum! I wish we hadn't waited until our last day to eat there or we would have eaten it again!

I added a touch of mayo on all my veggie sandwiches and it made them extra yummy!

Remember that veggie sandwich was from Seasons not Backlot :goodvibes BUT it doesnt matter b/c the one at the backlot was JUST as good!

also check and be sure the Backlot will be open. Before I left I read they were going to be closed when we were there. DH said to just take a walk over and see if they are open- they were the first day, glad he talked me into it- but the second day we went for MORE! they were closed :guilty: thats when we got stuck eating at Flatbread!

Just checked on the DIS site and it says the Backlot will be closed until 9/24-- so everything should be okey dokey now! Mangia!
