The trunk of a fullsize only fits about 4 suitcases. If you want to hold them on your lap they'll all fit, but not in the trunk.

We even had trouble with 4 suitcases...because a few of ours have very large wheels...now I'm on the hunt for new suitcases with smaller wheels.......

FULL SIZE is not all that big.
We had a heck of a time putting 3 suitcases in the trunk and then we had a stroller, and carryons.
If we had to do it again, we would rent a minivan

BTW we had the biggest car on lot a Pontiac Grand Am

There are 3 in our family and we just fit into a full size (the extra seat is used for luggage that doesn't fit into the trunk). We go in August, so we don't have any bulky clothes to pack and even with the smaller suitcases there isn't much room.

We managed to fit a bunch in an Impala.
BTW, a Grand Am is NOT a full size, it is an intermediate.
A Grand Prix is a full size.

We have 2 rentals active right now...one with National on the EA for a full-size. We have gotten Buick Regals the last 3 times using them. We have a double-stoller and 2 large suitcases, along with several carry-ons. There are 4 of us and we have to put 1 of the suitcases in the front seat. It isn't a big deal but not perfect.

We also have an Impala or similar reserved with Avis for just a tad less. I skip the counter with them, also. So I am just going to keep checking the rates to see which winds up less. I kind of figured that the Impala would have more room. GH just confirmed that, thanks.

As others mentioned you would not be able to accomodate your needs with a full-size.

My trip in May I rented a minivan from National because we had NINE people. We brought a brand new package of bungy cords to strap most of the luggage on the roof rack. It was the only way we could make it.
