Can someone help me? I've just paid for my disney trip via my disney rewards visa credit card. I have points that I would like to use towards paying off my balance, but is that an option? I didnt realize that I had to pay for the trip in full before I arrived. I had planned on paying off most of it, but leaving a balance and using my reward dollars but as of Friday, I paid it off. Please help before my husband kills me. :furious: I told him I could use are disned reward dollars towards the balance of our bill. :guilty:

Once you charged the balance of your vacation onto your Visa, you can't use the rewards dollars toward the balance. Visa will not allow you to use Rewards to pay on the card itself. Sorry - I know that doesn't probably help you now. If you haven"t already though, you can call Visa and order your rewards card to use while on your vacation to pay for meals and gifts while you're there...

Thank you for your reply. That's what I figured. Man!
Of course EVERYTHING is chared on my visa.....the tickets, the meal plan etc.
Hubby isn't going to be happy about this! :(

I don't know what your balance is, but can't you just request a Disney gift now, before you leave ... that way you can use it for souvenirs and ancillary stuff while you are at Disney.

P.S. I used my Disney Visa to pay for my upcoming vacation, however - I am waiting until the last minute to pay the balance so I can postpone the payoff later. Also, I am going to wait until the last minute to add the dining plan so I can have even longer to pay that off. I have the money to pay for the vacaction outright, but I figure if someone is going to give me money for free for 6 months, I want to make the most of it.

Just be sure to get your rewards card before your trip that way you can charge food/etc at WDW. It is nice to have "spare money to spend there. Maybe this will help you with your husband...

Good luck.
