YES, you read that correctly! DMM and her DH have lost their minds! We have decided to drive to THE WORLD with our 2 kids! OH NO! :sad2: :crazy: So Let's get ready to LEAVVVVVEEE!!

::yes:: Yup we leave late late late wednesday night, may as well be Thursday!


I would like to tak this time to Welcome you to the first instalment
of the DisneyMommyMichelles take on THE MOUSE!!!!

For some reason, this trip took waaaay too long to arrive! i did many
countdowns, had many tickers, planned meets and yet, it just never got
here fast enough!!! TO show you how much i wanted this, i began my trip
report in my WIndows NotePad on June 29th!!!!! Now am I a dork or what?
Don't answer that!!! ;)

First let's get the basics down!

The Who-->
The Cast of Characters

Me--Michelle--(DisneyMommyMichelle)--Ready to take on the WORLD!!
I was pregnant last year and couldn't ride anything!! So i'm making
up for it! BABY SWAP HERE I COME!! I've been a long time lover of
the WORLD and love our trips! We were even married there!!! :)

DH--Salvatore--(AutumnsDisneyDaddy)--Bring on the Food and Wine
festival!! this guy can eat AND drink! A serious lover of the FREE
DINING! DH fell in love with the WORLD on his first visit (if you don't
count his inutero visit!) in 2002 with MOI! i introduced him to
all this greatness and he got HOOKED! Also Dh is the main driver on
our expedition!! (with DH behind the wheel, we could charge admission
to ride in the car, because that is my idea of a thrill ride!)

DD--Autumn 20 months---And ready to see Mickey!! This is her
second trip and she makes us watch last years video way too often!

DS--Gabriel 9 months old and just learning to walk, NO STROLLERS
please!!! First trip going on here and he doesn't know what to
expect!

And last but not least:
Our Car 2006 Honda Civic-->We sooo wanted to take the van, but
gas price$ really made that decision for us! no problem our car here
had a DVD player and a GREAT sound system! Not only that it's decked
out DIsney Style!! Will you see us on the road? Silver Car, with MGM
license plate frame on the back and Mickey plate on the front! no
antennae toper since Hondas don't have em!! grr...:furious:
The back window had a sign that said: Follow us to Walt Disney World!!

The What-->Our Crazy Family Trip to the WORLD! 1 car, 3
strollers, 2 kids and LOTS of energy!!

The Where--> POP Century, the greatest resort on property!!
Requested 70s section first floor!! Let's see where we end up.

The When--> September 28th-October 7th**Free Dining**WOOHOO!!
2 of these days were spent behind the wheel, driving for our very first
time!! Our original trip was booked for November and we got suckered in
by FREE DINING!!

Before we begin, have i mentioned that we were there with FREE DINING?
okay, just making sure!

Keep you hands and feet inside of the tram at all times, because this
here is the WILDEST trip in the report on the BOARD! (at least i'm
hoping it is!!)(it most likely won't be, but please humor me!!)

Alright, the MIL is gone and the tape gun was never found, so I had to run and get some packing tape. So.... 50$ later i made it out of Wal-MArt and almost forgot the tape AGAIN!!! :laughing:

The box is ready to go!!

So the 2 boxes of stuff we shipped down is all stuff that will be staying in WDW. Since it's diapers and formula and wipes and I also started that Window Decorating thread where we decorate our POP windows and then at the end of our stay box it up and pass the decorations to another DISer!! so :yay: YAAAAY no extra stuff coming home!!

Alright so DH and i woke up at 4 this morning, i hit the gym and he made sure the box was sealed and downstairs, so i wouldn't break my neck trying to get it to the door for the UPS guy! we say our goodbyes and i'm start getting breakfast stuff together for the kiddies later, when i see about FIVE things in the kitchen, that NEED TO BE IN THAT BOX!!! :scared:

So i get it all un done (THANK GOODNESS DH is gone!!) and then shove the stuff in the box :crazy: and attemt to tape it up?!? :confused3: i never get a long enouigh piece going so it just looks ridiculous on the top!! DH is going to think that UPS opened it!! :laughing:

Well the guy shows up and away it goes!!! :wave2: :wave:

I was digging through some things last night, trying to pull some clothes out to see if anything needs washed (ya know how things get that closet smell after awhile?) and ended up going through boxes and baskets to see if there were any little things I wasn't thinking of to pack. I came across a whole thing of mini post-its in lime green :rotfl: We don't have a Home Depot near us to "creatively acquire" paint chips, I might have to leave little hello's on post-its if I pass a decorated room.

I also found my little Squirt that I'll have attached to my backpack, so if you see a yellow backpack with a lil Squirt hanging off of it, that's me! LOL! I'm a geek, I was so excited when I found him, LOL! I got him at the Disney Store in Italy (that's how bad I have the Disney bug - we hunted down the Disney Store in Rome) for my car and he never made it there.

We are in the process of tearing up DHs shirt for his pirate costume!!!

We went to put more money on our Disney Gift Card at TDS today, and we were scred away :scared: we got there so often we know the CMs and we SWEAR they think we are freaks for going there so often!! ::yes::

Anyone else KNOW they are recognized when they walk in TDS? so we walked past and saw it was HIM, so we kept walking, but i SWEAR he spotted us! :laughing: we're such nutters!!

So today i cancelled an ADR!!!! :scared1: i cancelled my Le Cellier one at 8pm, b/c we figured it was too late to dine with a little peanut (we didn't want to frighten anyone away!!) (or come back to a post about us!! :laughing: ) so now we are looking for a replacement eatery!!! I booked these ressies way far out in advance and now i'm changing them all at the last minute! AND THE KICKER IS:

I know i get the same cast member EVERY time i do it!!! :sad2:

You kow when you get someone who you SWEAR has no clue what they are talking about and clal back as soon as you hang up??? well i do that often and EACH time i've done it, i get the saME person i just hung up with!!!

If I can make a recommendation. . . try the Paczki in Poland. Yum! They're pretty big around here around Lent (Polish tradition for Lent - where they used up the last of those ingredients before Lent begins) but no one I know outside this area has ever heard of them. LOL! I don't know how Disney's are going to be, but around here they're kinda like jelly donuts - they're usually custard filled or fruit (prune, lemon, etc) filled and sprinkled with powdered sugar. SO good. . . SO bad for you. But drink a few of those glasses of wine throughout world showcase so you won't care about calories.

Oh, and they're pronounced "punch-key" in case you're wondering. . . I know, know N in the word. LOL! Makes no sense.

Alright, this is my frst review and it is of the Athens Style Croc Sandals!!!!!!!

WE LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!

They hae become the official shoe of the DMM family whenever we go to WDW!!!! :love: ::yes::

They never bothered us and we wore them daily to the parks!! and we did ALOT of walking!!!!

no it's not that bad!

BUT the ABSOLUTE WORST AWFUL GROSS meal we had was at La Cantina in Mexico!! we had eaten there last in 2004 and it was FABULOUS!!! but this past time we were sooo upset about the wasted dining credit!! it was just plain disgusting! we both got the Combo plate and could barely eat it.

****This could be that i am Mexican and i KNOW authentic cooking, BUT as i said before we LOVED it in 2004****

The kids meal is a waste of money for a Quesadilla and Nacho chips! :sad2:


oh well we learned our lesson and used Snack credits to eat around the WORLD!! god thing for F&W festival!!! you ill get our review of these yummies too!!!

I am going to start with September 27th, we are heading out late late
on the 27th, so we MUST get the car packed up! YIKES! :scared1: this
in itself is an epic vacation!! we had to load and re-load and do it
all over again about 6 times! by WE i mean DH with me watching :teeth:
So indeed i had packed too much, so back to the drawing board! all
suitcases go back inside to get inspected by DUM DUDDA DUM DUM DUMMM..
DH!! oh no :rolleyes: i'm in for it now!! He who insists without me or
the kids could go to WDW with just a duffle bag (a small one at that).
The guy is just odd!! ::yes:: i mean a DUFFLE BAG??? where would he put
the much needed souvies??

Of course he asks why i need 9 pairs of shoes (6 dressy) and 5 dresses,
one evening gown (kidding about this one!) and well he just wants to
know why i need 99% of what i packed! GASP!

Do you ever notice, that when you pack, you end up packing for all
types of occasions ans you INSIST you need everythingyou have! you
even group everything into outfits with shoes that MUST go with the
outfit!! THEN when you get to your destination you ALWAYS end up
wearing the same 2 things & one of the many shoes you bring?!? :lmao:
it's sooo true! and DH reminds me EVERY yr and yet i still don't
believe him!! Come on we can't let a MAN know he's right!! he'd hold
it over our heads FOREVER! anyways, this year is going to be different!

The repacking done (i just shoved everything he said i did not need into the diaper bag or the kids bags--i mean they don't need THAT many diapers!!!). And the car STUFFED STUFFED STUFFED to the gills!

We put on the finishing touches to the back windows of the Honda!!

All i need to say is THANK GOODNESS the kids DO NOT DO NOT need any leg room, b/c the floor of the backseat was STUFFED!

Did i mention i also packed 8 different purses of which i used ZERO on the trip??? but they did look super cute all lined up on the top of the closet rack begging me to use them!!

Oh and i only used 2 pairs of shoes :rolleyes:

When ever we have to pack the car, whether if it's to WDW or just to the cottage, it's not pretty. He sees me coming with all of our bags and I see the head start shaking and that's when I get heated.

He packs for himself, and I pack for me and three kids. I just don't think they understand the whole picture. If I let him pack we'd spend a ton of money going to the sundries shop to purchase the things we needed.

Remind him how many times he asked you if you had something. Like clippers, or wipes, or etc.

ohhh no the driveway was a loooong vacation let me tell you!!!

The DMMs were due to set out at 11pm on the 27th!!!!!


Well earlier in the day DMM and her 2 DKids were off on last minute pick ups and such when my van DIED! just sputtered and DIED!!!! now don't get me wrong ordinarly i would have been cheering b/c DH said when the van died i get my NEW VAN!!! :woohoo: :yay: but we were leaving for the WORLD that day and towing and everything would be CRAZY!!! oh AND i was in the MIDDLE OF THE ROAD! sooo i'm freakin out and on and on...finally someone stops and helps me get it started and back home :faint: it's the STARTER! i have no idea what all that means...sooo i'm just confused! :confused:

DH says he can fix it :sad: sooo no new van for me :sad2: it's fixed, but it takes him AWHILE and then with test drives and a shower we are still home!!! :faint:
sooooo our trip is delayed!!! i mean DELAYED!!! we don't end up leaving until the 28th around 5am!!! :furious: i'm mad, but glad i don't have that hanging over my head on vacay!!

3am comes around and it's time to get GOING!! showers for DH and I and then just pick the kids up and pop them in their seats right???


NOPE!! DH misplaced the keys to the HONDA!!!!


AUGHHH!!!!! at this point we are just laughing!! :lmao: i mean everything always goes wrong with us!!! We look and look and YUP the keys are in the car!!! :earseek: oh and everything in locked up!!! ahhh and did i mention that my keys have been lost forever????

sooo mad dash through the house for my keys and NOTHING........

soooo get this..........

the trunk is still open, BUT TOTALLY PACKED with JUNK! DH has to UNPACK :rotfl: :rotfl: and i'm totally helping, but i am laughing soo hard he just tells me to sit down, i'm just in the way!!!

THEN i have to squeeze into the backseat to getinto the front seat to get the keys!! :lmao: all while laughing of course!!

We are NOW ready to go!!! we get into the car and .......


AUGHHHHH i left my hair dryer plugged in!!!

okay got that set and as i put the hair dryer away in the linen closet ( i NEVER do this) i find my keys in my box of lotions!?!?!? (you know those hiding spots you know you will NEVER forget!??) this just makes me laugh harder!!!

DINING PLAN

Alright we had a LOVE :love: HATE :furious: relationship with the dining plan!! we loved having it and it was great for the most part, BUT too many TS for a family with 2 kids that loves to just go go go!! i didn't like having to have my days planned out!! i made all my ADRs at 180 days out and GUESS WHAT?!?!

WE changed EVERY SINGLE ONE!!!! and on the day of go figure!! we had NO PROBLEMS at all getting into Character meals the morning of each one! :teeth: :wizard: it's that Disney Magic i tell ya!!! pixiedust:

We used the snack credits to eat at F&W festival!!

We used all our table service except for one that we made into a CS credit and BOY LET ME TELL you it was next to near impossible to do :sad1: it was just ridiculous!!

We also did NOT think it was a lot of food, why?? because we went to alll character buffets pretty much and you can regulate what you eat!! so we didn't waste any food and still ate GREAT!! so we do feel good about that! :teeth:

All in all, we most likely WILL get the dining plan again b/c it's just soooo easy to have all your meals paid for in advance!! :thumbsup2:

Driving

Other than the rough start and NOT NOT NOT wanting to leave in the end, the kids were fabulous in the car! So we would CONSIDER driving again! mainly b/c i was just a pain! it was too long and soooo boring!! except for those BARE IT ALL signs! :laughing: WOW those are everywhere!! and does anyone else feel like they will NEVER EVER EVER get out of GEORGIA?!?!?!? WOW that's a looooooooooong state!!

And let me tell ya! having an ATLAS is NOT NOT NOT a good thing! :sad2: i kept staring at it and getting mad that we only moved a teeny tiny bit! by the end of the trip DH wanted to strangle me!! (at leat i think he did!! he says i was just amusing!!).

It cost us less than 100$ each way in gas and since the car is pretty brand spankin' new we didn't have any problems at all!! :teeth: so that was a GOOD thing!!

Although does ANYONE out there have the DH that once the gas light goes on SWEARS he can make it to the moon and back and DOES NOT have to stop for gas yet???? ::yes:: that's my DH and i could've SWORN he was going to end up walking to the nearest gas station can in hand!! :lmao:

Driving
and does anyone else feel like they will NEVER EVER EVER get out of GEORGIA?!?!?!?

YES! I've always wanted to just skip right over Georgia. The last time I made the trip, last spring on a last minute (meaning 2 weeks to plan) trip for the Florida Music Festival, I had been going on and on about how I was dreading Georgia. We paid attention and realized that it was actually one of our shorter states. It so doesn't feel like it! On our route there is nothing - no cities to pass, no attractions. Just trees and signs for a couple/few hours. At least change the scenery up a little - how can there be no cities along a major highway?! You hit Savannah not long after you cross the border then nothing for the rest of the state! :rotfl:

No offense to Georgians. . . but I'm SO glad someone else has the same perception!

Last year wtih one little gal we hopped like CRAZY!!! but with 2 in tow we totally wasted our money here!! $$$ ::yes::

We ended up staying in each park the ENTIRE day!! we would go back to the room for naps and then decided HEY let's go back!!! and for some wierd reason this was an ALL ABOUT MK trip!! we have never spent soo much time there before and we STILL did not get to see POTC!!! :earseek:

So next trip there will be NO hopping!! :sad2:

GREAT IDEAS TO USE!!

Alright i must say that i had 2 life savers on this trip!!!

The Disney Gift Card!!! it was awesome!!! when they FIRST came out we put a measely $5 on it and then we started a little savings fund for the gift card! we stopped using our bank card and used ONLY cash! we put ALL our change and SINGLES int he jar (an old formula can which eventually got full and we had to switch to an old WDW popcorn plastic tub!!) and at the end of the month or whenever we wanted to we would go to the bank and cash all that change in, THEN immidiately to TDS to put it on the gift card!!!

They DO NOT take this card at the Front Desks yet, but you CAN use it at the resort gift shops, F&W festival booths and DTD!! so it was GREAT NOT carrying around a wad of Disney Dollars and not charging everything back to the room and then having a heart attack when you see the total!! :faint: :faint: orrrr when they call your room 2 days into your trip and tell you you've reached the max amount and they need to charge your card!! :lmao:

SECONDLY for the drive, the Mcdonald's ARCH CARD was AwESOME!!! we didn't need any cash at all except for tolls (2.50 from Chicago area). We put all our gas on the bank card. ANYTIME we wanted a snack of some sort or lunch we would stop there!

Isn't it amazing that you can actually find something other than your 'regular' Mcdonald's order when you eat there time after time!! I LOVE the fruit and walnut salad!! and yummy to the fruit and yogurt parfait!!! and did you know you can trade your fries for the apples???? delish and sooo fun!!!!

On the way there it took us 22 hours drive time (we stopped a lot and did not count those hours in) and on the way home 24 hours drive time. We alternated routes.

We stopped WHENEVER a kid so much as fussed and let them run around rest areas, Mcdonald's play places whatever we could find when they got antsy.

DRIVING AWAY


Alright so AWAYYYY we go!!! the hair dryer is unplugged, the keys have been found, we are ready to go!!!!!!

We pull away and are about 2 minutes from the house when DH asks "did you close the garage?" 'ummmmmmm yeah sure' "did you REALLY" 'i think so' (i really didn't close it, i think he did, but i was sooo confused already!!!)

SOOOO we turn around!!

and alas the garage door is CLOSED!! :woohoo:

So we start AGAIN and then: AUGHHHHHHHHH!!!! we forgot the cell phone charger!!!
so back in DH runs :faint: :faint: :faint: ARE WE EVER GOING TO D-WORLD???

so now at this point we are just frazzled and pretty much SURE we are not going to get to go on vacay want to know why????


The Cell is ringing and it's DHs WORK!!!! :scared1: :earseek: well technically we are supposed to be on the road right? so they have no clue we are still sitting in our drive way!!! :lmao: sooooo he answers and they are just calling to find out if we are going crazy with the kids yet!?!?! Anyways......

We have now been on the road FOREVER (or 2 hours you take your pick!!) and i decide it's time to stop so just AS we are getting out of the car MMMMMMM BOP comes on the radio!!!! :music: :music: you know that song by those boys?? HANSON?!?!? :music: well i LOVE this song :blush: DO NOT make fun of me!!! so i get out my mascara and i have a microphone and I am full out singing!! DH is trying to hide, but i take the 'mike' and put it up to his mouth and :music: YUP he figures what the heck and starts singing too!!!!!!! :lmao: so now we are officially WIERD, but it's not biggie since we are in an EMPTY parking lot!! well the song is over and we are getting out and there is a crowd of about 3 people standing by the door to the Mcdonald's LAUGHING!!!!! DH just about DIED right there!! :faint: i just kept laughing!!

Been there! My strangest experience was a McDonald's in Punxatawny, PA, where we tried to pay with a travelers' check. They called out two cashiers, the assistant manager and manager to figure out how to ring it up. And while they discussed, we answered many questions about where we were from, wehere we were going, what's life like in FL, etc. They were super nice, but the whole thing was BIZARRE!

So, the Dis gift cards really work at the F&W booths? I'm heading that way soon - good info., thanks!

Alright, so the first stop is happening in IN :lmao: DARN Hwy was under construction and down to ONE LANE! no wonder i was ready to stop!!!

Bathrooms were a bit scary, but i think i looked like the wierdo going in there with my can of lysol and Clorox wipes!! ::yes::

I wiped down the changing table (WHO ON EARTH is AMAZONIAN height in the world!?? THose darn changing tables are like EYEBALL level for me!!! i'm only 4'10!!) then i sprayed the whole bathroom, all while being watched by the Mcdonald's Police or something :confused: THEN i pulled out my disposable changing pads and lined the table and THEN i put my DS down and changed him up right quick and THEN ziplocked the diaper and tossed it (wiped down and sprayed after ourselves too!!). I come out of the bathroom and DH is just rolling his eyes at me and asking what took so long since he changed DD in like 2 seconds?!?!?!!? i know his Diaper kit went untouched and he just slapped her on the table and went to town!!! :sad2: MEN!!!!

THEN i just about BURST OUT LAUGHING! (all the locals turn to look at the loud aliens) b/c DH is asking me all this while him and DD are wearing those sunglasses that come in the little Mermaid happy meals!!!!!! :rotfl: they looked sooo crazy and DH looked a bit uncomfortable but if DD wants him to wear them, he will ::yes::

Alright back on the road again and i just wanted to let you all know that the Mascara MIKE made appearances the ENTIRE TRIP!!! i even pulled it out on IASW!! sooo were you on that ride with us??? DH and i sang quietly, but we did sing into the MIKE!!

The Entire Drive TO FL and back from FL i heard SEXY BACK 19 times! just thought i would let you all know that!!!

Nothing too eventful happened on the ride there, so i will FF to when i drove in TN...

OUT OF NOWHERE my car is going down these STEEP HILLS and i'm like FREAKIN out!!!
so i turn down :music:ME AND JULIO DOWN BY THE SCHOOL YARD :music:
and attempt to slow it down and then i see a sign that says:
BEWARE OF FALLING BOULDERS?!?!?!?!

WHAT!??!?! did i enter a movie site?!? DH is sleeping and i am FREAKING OUT!!! ohhh did i mention that my Honda is a 5 speed?? so i'm downshifting like crazy and these trucks are like right on my tail and this sign is totally freakin' me out!!!!! THEN i see a new sign, it says:

RUNAWAYS TRUCK LANE

i KID YOU NOT!!! i was sooooo not expecting that!?!?! so now i'm just soaked in sweat and wondering what i got myself into!!! THEN SEXY BACK comes on and i take it as a sign from God that i should sing myself through this insanity???? (i told you i'm a WIERD ALIEN of some sort!!!).

So i turn it up and i handle the curves and drops and now i feel like i'm on RnRC!! this is just a thrill ride in itself!!!

after too many of them, i decide i can't handle this anymore and i tell DH he needs to wake up and take over!!! :scared1: :earseek:

So he says pull over at the next stop (it's like 45 miles away!>!>!) at that time it was all good and i could handle it from therE!

So we pull over finally and i tell him all about it and what does my oh so sweet wonderful charming GREAT husband say to comfort his sweaty, scared, wierd alien wife???

We used the Disney Gift Card at the booth in China!!! that's the only one we tried and it took them a couple tries, so make sure you keep an eye at the bottom of all your receipts to make sure that they are only taking off what you paid for and no more ::yes::

Disposable changing pads..noted!! These were not invented when my seven year old was a baby. So, they are now added to my packing list and those disposable bib things.

My Dh could never sleep while I was driving. He trusts me on a daily basis driving our 3 kids around, but get him in the car with me and suddenly I'm not qualified for the job. I've been driving 16 years and not one wreck thank you very much!!

Don't forget the disposable sippy cups!!! those were a godsend when we forgot them in the car and then found them the next day with fermenting milk in them GAGGGG!! we just tossed them right out!!! AND i loved the Sticky toss out place mats for my little guy that will still throw a plate across the room, that way we could just put it all on the place mat!! ::yes::

We also brought a cheap-o bottle brush with us that we could toss out upon leaving and it worked out GREAT for just cleaning bottles and sippies and the like!!!

GEORGIA

So we enter Georgia and i'm like WOOOOOHOOOO!!!!! We'll be in FLorida in NO TIME!!! it's totally NEXT! NEXT! NEXT!!! (i'm driving). Well about 1 hour into this drive and seeing the WIERDEST billboards, i'm getting discouraged!!!

Soooo i decide to rouse my husband from his too peaceful looking sleep by singing THE NAME GAME!!

He opens one eye and just GLARES! :lmao: so i start again:

We decided to get clear of Atlanta before stopping for some breakfast :teeth:

So the drive continued with the car pool lane debate and THEN Dolly Partons 9-5 came on and we were JAMMING away!!!! that is until DD threw her sippy cup at us, b/c she couldn't hear DORA for like the 6th time :rolleyes:

anyways we exit and there is a little construction on that exit (but don't let it stop you from getting off, it only sets you back about 5minutes).

We pull into the lot and get out alright (no good songs on the radio :sad2: :music: ) so we get inside and my McD's eye automatically catches the DIRTIEST mcdonalds EVER EVER EVER!!! well we don't want to take the kids in and out of their car seats again, so we suck it up. but first we go back to the car and change dipaers in the fornt seats of the Hondas, b/c we are TERRIFIED of what the potties will look like! We also wash our hands with bottled water and soap flakes ( .99 on the TARGET travel lane!!).

I start dialing, DHs eyes start rolling and we get back in line. He does the ordering, i complain about:
dirty floors
garbage cans FULL of garbage and trays full of garbage at most of the tables!!


I MUST admit though that the staff was one of THE FRIENDLIEST and most courteous at all the restaurants go figure!!

Our plan of action was let the kids play in the play places to get their energy out while we eat and they eat in the car. it worked GREAT. We get to the play place and as i set the kids down, i smell something and DH says ewww... it was FILTHY and sticky and then here is the kicker.....

THERE ARE 2 HOMELESS GUYS SLEEPING IN THE PLAY PLACE!!!

IN it!! INSIDE of the Slide and the tubes!?!?!?! OMG!

So we take them back inside the restaurant i complain some more (i decline all free food and such) and we clean up our own table (clorox and baby wipes do the trick) AND the high chairs and as they continue to eat, i go on a SPREE of cleaning the other tables WHILE putting the garbage in a WAL*MART bag that i have with me for dirty diapers and car garbage!! After about 3 tables they FINALLY get someone out there to take out the trash and start cleaning!!! :rolleyes:

We NEVER except free stuff from them, simply b/c my mom works there, but we do help whenever possible...soooo i've become the embaressing Mcd's Commando that my mom was and still is :blush:

The rest of the drive through Georgia into Valdosta was pretty uneventful except for more singing and trivia games and all that jazz!!!

No meltdowns!!

HONESTLY!!! the only melt down was a mommy one!! hahaha!!! After being in Gergia FOREVER and 5 days, i really thought i was NEVER getting out, so i demanded to get out and find an airport, cause my legs were falling asleep, my head was hurting and it had been a FULL 20 minutes since i could find Sexy Back on the radio!!! :music:


Our secret was this:
We didn't go on ANY schedule and the only hope we had, was making it to WDW!! :laughing: sounds silly but it's sooo true!! EVERY SINGLE time one child would start to so much as whine or cry, we would get off at the nearest rest stop. WE LOVED rest areas and found them ALL to be clean and well cared for. WE let them run and do whatever they wanted until THEY came up to us and were ready to go. To tell you the truth we were not at ANY stop longer than 1hr! they usually lasted 30minutes.

IN the car we also had:
The DVD player with a screen in EACH headrest so the kids could each watch TV.
LOTS of WDW sing alongs AND DORA ::yes::

EACH kid had a small backpack (preschooler size) full of toys that we collected throughout the year and they were ALL brand new in the car!!! :teeth: even the backpack was new!! THEY LOVED THAT!! :love:

FLORIDA AT LAST!!!

Sooo we finally start seeing signs for Florida!!! :woohoo: and before we know it, we are THERE!!! YEEEEEHHAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! :yay: :cheer2: The entire way we do not see ONE other IL plate or ANYONE travelling with families!! it was a bit eerie! then out of NOWHERE comes a car with WI. plates! it's 2 college guys!!! SO DH honks the horn and gives them the thumbs up!! (i have noooo idea why!?) :confused: But they pulled away quickly once we saw the WELCOME TO FLORIDA sign and started CHEERING!!!! and honking the horn!! and dancing!! and singing along to my SPICE GIRLS CD (once again PLEASE do not make fun of me, but i think the SPice Girls are THE GREATEST group ever!!!). I turned it up and the cheers erupted!!!

BUT please keep in mind that the last time I saw a gas station in Georgia we had a little more than half a tank of gas and i said hey it's 1.95 we should TOTALLY just fill it up here!! ::yes:: but DH said he was fine and he would make it all the way to WDW on what he had left!! (remember this all!!).

We get to the POP and decide we will just unload the Double stroller and toss the kiddos in there since we have to check in and we have no clue where we will be! then we will head to the room and unload from there!! ::yes::

I'm bracing myself for a HUGE line since we got there after 1pm. But we walk in and there are only like 10 people in the lobby!!! :woohoo: and only a handful of them are in the check-In/Out line!! :yay:

As we are waiting i dig out my ID and Credit card, so we're prepared. DD and DS are just taking it all in and then DH looks at me and says "welcome home"

Then a CM out of no where comes up and gives the kids mickey head shaped balloons!!! it was sooo sweet and they LOVED them!!! no one else got them, just our kiddies!! sooo SWEET!!!

Check in With JOE S. was AWESOME! he was fun and totally cool!! He explained stuff to us and then got us our room (7123 building 7 80s section first floor AKA: THE END OF THE WORLD!). As we were checking in a Lady from the next counter checking in another couple recognized us!! she's one of our fave CMs!!! (Alice) She remember us from the year we went there and got married and then last year when we brought DD and now here we were with DS!!! We PROMISED we would be back soon, BUT with NO MORE kids!! :lmao:

I drop off all the goodies at the FD for the DISers i know will be there and THEN we wait for the boxes we shipped there!! (Three in the END).

The CM CANNOT find them!! :earseek: after about 10minutes he comes out with 2 (he needed 2 other people to help him!!! they were HUGE!!) they will deliver the last one. cool whatever!

We get a Dolly (that luggage cart thing) and head to find our room!!
Well first detour was at the POP JETS!! the kids just wanted DOWN DOWN DOWN!!!
So we stopped for a bit!! ::yes:: before heading to the end of the earth to find our room!!

The sign Says straight ahead, but DH SWEARS he knows where the room is and it's THIS WAY!!!
:lmao: so we have 2 wet kids sitting in a HUGE double stroller and DH pulling a luggage cart thing loaded with 2 boxes and i am holding 2 balloons that keep blowign in my face with the wind!! so we look crazed! DH has NOOOO idea where he is going and we end up in the 70s section:

We are BEAT! but there is so much to do today!!
First things first! (I JUMP on the bed!!) yes i'm a bad mom and bad POPper, but i LOVE jumping on the bed!! it makes me feel like a kid again!!

Then DH tackles me and we fall off the bed! (did i mention the window is open this whole time and 2 kids are watching us laughing?!?! :blush:

After unloading the car and unpacking (DH while i watch the Top 7!!!!) we are ready to hit the POOL!!!!! :woohoo: but quickly we need tIme to START the window decorating!!!
We went all out with the window and door and our neighbor came out and laughed at us! he asked if it was our FIRST TIME??

NOPE! we do this EVERY YEAR!!

Hi everyone. I should be back to posting more of the trippie by monday. My uncle was found shot to death in his home last night and we're dealing with that right now :sad: He was a police officer off duty at the time, so we are all thinking it may be linked.

Grocery stores!!

Alright, so i take off for the Publix in order to get some grocery stuffs for us and some other POPpers!! it wasn't that far, but i somehow managed to get lost in all the lights and hoopla in Kissimmee! i couldn've sworn i was driving down the Vegas Strip it was sooo bright!! :earseek: I think i had to do like 3 U-Turns and i was still confused!! :lmao: i FINALLY made it to the Publix, but no where NEAR the one i was headed to!! haha!! how did this happen!! :confused:

I grab my car and find myself face-2-face with prices that i could have paid grocery shopping in the POP food court!! :rolleyes: oh well i am here and i am not going ANYWHRE!!

I have my list from other and my own.

I start going and grabbing and then YIKESSS! NO LIQUOR sold here!!! keep in mind i am buying for abour 6 other DISers, so i ask the manager, where is your Vodka, Rum and stuff like that!!?? He looks at me like i'm some kid and is like 'the liquor store is down the road!!" grrrr....

sop i grap and go and then off to the liquor store where, i get what i need and then hop in the car!


I am trying to stuff my CC in my purse and then i notice that i had my DHs credit card the ENTIRE TIME!! we both have the EXACT same card! :sad2: i went to BOTH these places and NEVER had anyone question me!! Publix AND the liquor store even asked to see ID after i signed MY NAME! well now i'm a little perplexed as my last name is not even the same as DHs, so what did she think when she saw my ID?>???

Well i get back to the resort (safely and i DID NOT get lost) and i find my DH outside the room, with his foot in the door. He helps me get everything inside and then says to me

HOW DO YOU DO IT ALL DAY?!?!?!?!?

My kids are only in diapers (feeding mess!!)
and sitting in the play pen (daddy wan't quick enough to stop them from getting into everything!!)

I walk in and the kids both smile and start jumping up and down!!

poor DH, he's not Mr. Mom material! hahaha!!!

As i was lugging stuff in i notice our door has been signed a lot already and i find out:

Well it's getting late and i have organized a DIS meet for tonite, so we figure we will suit up the kiddos and then eat at the food court and off to the pool!! (no we DID NOT swim for 30 minutes after we ate :lmao: )

I had a cheeseburger with fries and tie dye cheesecake for dessert it was all sooooo yummy! but the cheesecake was FABULOUS!! The fries were cold, so that's where they lost a star.

DH had a FABULOUS FABULOUS mediterannean flat bread type of thing and it was sooo good!! DD had some of that and a bit of my burger meat. He had this really neat chocolate mousse with worms in it for dessert!! very cool!

The lines were FAST even though they were crowded and the entire area was VERY CLEAN! we found a table NO PROBLEM! The only problem we encoutered was a family filling up their CSR mugs at the refill station:

WHAT>?? (i am like 5 people away from him)

ummm are we at CSR?????

ME: :blush: :lmao: ummm last i checked it's POP CENTURY!

Tables were clean and people were clearing as we were eating, so it was nice!!

Those TVs captured DSs attention and DD was busy people watching! all in all it was a GREAT dining experience!!

We saw a few filling up from other resorts as well. The best was the family filling up a regular sports bottle, pretty big too - at least a liter. At least the people with other resort mugs paid Disney at one time or another! :rotfl:

POOL TIME
We had a blast at the kiddie pool! Gabriel and Autumn loved being in the giant bathtub without a bar of soap in site ;)

The mini meet went great and i finally got to meet many of the DISERS that i spent soo much time with at the POP thread!!! :teeth: it was great!!!

Some DISers that were NOT POPpers even met up with us! it wsz pretty cool!!

Well we get back to the room and the nasty noters are back. We had a skeleton hanging on our door ( you will see once i get my pics tonite!!) and the nasty noters had DRAWN GENITALIA on the skeleton?!!? :earseek: i was soooo mad! i mean how can people be so down right rude?!?!

Well we got to work making it into a bog mickey head type of thing and then just wrote the Room number in is, so it looked like it was done on purpose!

NOW DH had a plan....

We decided to put up a fresh sheet of paper and more markers and we were READY! DH had to run over to the car and he took the walkie talkie with him, he stood around the corner and watched.....

Not 5 minutes later, 2 teenage boys (about 15) came up to the door and started colorfully writing all over the clean paper. more innuendoes and such and then DH beeped me and said NOW!!!!
so i swung open the doors and there they stood, marker in hand!! :sad2:

I asked them if they knew that there were children in this room and next door and EVERYWHERE that walked by these signs and if they were that eager to color buy a coloring book and do it in your room!

The just stared and turned around and left. DH told them when they crossed his path, that they are more than welcome to sign our door, but STOP with the immaturity! ::yes::

so that was FINALLY taken care of and no more nastiness for the rest of the week!! ::yes::

We had fun, our kids had fun and how could i deny my children the opportunity to feel MAGIC all around them?? Oh and DS was technically there in the womb last year :teeth: WDW is for children of ALL AGES! there was more that my kids COULD do there than what they could NOT do! If you question those people that take young children, maybe you should have been by my side while i was watching my DD dance with Leo and June from Little Einsteins as tears of joy slid down my face or as DS fell in love with Minnie Mouse when she came to our table at Chef Mickey's and played with him for a good 5 minutes and DHs eyes welled up and that little tear escaped. Or how about when we got onto IASW and both kids just clapped and cheered as we passed all the dolls and DH and i could just smile. We found magic and pixie dust in all we did and many other people that bring babies do too ::yes::

Walkie talkies are a MUST for us! we NEVER go anywhere seperately, but it's great when one of us goes on a ride and the other is with the kids (then we can radio locations!!)

I had mine and dictated my location and the line for DH (with the baby swap the second person does not go through the same line) THEN when i boarded i told him what train i was in. (he was in the area where he could see the cars going uphill and then when they came out of the mountain!!) As i was about to go up, i radioed him and told him and he got the camera ready!!! THEN he videtaped me! soo cool! i did the same for him! it's a great part of the video!! ::yes::

After a long day, it was time for some sleep!!!!! we didn't have anything sheduled for the AM, because we just KNEW we wanted to sleep in after the drive and all the running around!!!

The beds were comfy and DS fell fast asleep in the play pen!!!
DD had her own bed and she was in HEAVEN!!!!
( how come the tinyest of us all gets her own bed and i have to share?????) :teeth:

We didn't set an alarm and decided to just go with the flow of whenever we woke up! we only knew we had a ressie for OHANA in the evening. :yay: :woohoo:

Hi everyone! just a quick driveby to answer a question:


POP Review since someone asked WHY POP?!
POP POP POP because we LOVE it!!1 we've done all the all stars and all the mods (dh has not done CBR) AND some deluxes and yet something about the POP hooked us!! we were well on our way to staying EVERYWHERE in the WORLD, but one stay at POP and BOOMBAMBOOM we loved it!!

The atmosphere SCREAMS PAAARRRTTTYYY party:
the music makes you boogie all the way to your room (unless your my DH who get lost verrry easily and in the end is in no mood to boogie ;) )The Hustle and the TWIST the CMs get down too makes you want to jump in and join them (ohh yes i have!!!).

The food court is delicious and super clean!
The POP jets are a fave for my kids!!!
The CMs truly believe in the MAGIC :wizard: pixiedust:

There isn't anything BAD i can say about POP we truly love it there!!!

We had MANY towel animals EVERY night!! the Mousekeeper even made them TALK!!! (little pieces of paper coming out of their mouths!!)
She used some of our halloween decorations to decorate the room!!! :woohoo:
She did a FABULOUS time cleaning AND would leave us notes on the poster board we made her for tips!!
(pice of posterboard with a clothespin on it taped to the side of the TV stand that faces the window!! we would clip our tip to it every day ($5) and write her little notes!!)

My DS had lost his stuffed Tigger one night in the food court (probably through it out of the stroller) He was small and very loved! haha!! i went and reported it to the FD just in case someone would have turned it in!! (he was VERRRRy loved as i said before so i couldn't imagine anyone wanting him).

Well the last night of our trip we got back from the MK (MNSSHP) and there on the bed was a NEW tigger!!! with a little card....sooooo cute and sooo perfect!!! and sooo Totally POP!!

Morning before MK

No remeber there was no alarm clocks b/c we wanted to sleep in right???

WELLLL the am wakes up with



WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :sad: It's DS standing STRAIGHT up in the pack n play and whining. not crying...whining and looking us straight in the eye with a smile!! :sad2: i look at the clock and it's 6AM!!!! which means 5am Chicago time!! sooo the drive did not even get to this kid!!! he wants WDW and he wants it NOOOOWWW!!

So DH gets him up and starts the bath.

DD however is lying sideways in bed snoring softly!! :angel: i decide to let her be and if worse comes to worse she can take a bath at night!!

I head out to get some coffee for DH and some sprite for me!! (i'm a soda drinker int he am!! wierd!)

The POP is already bustling with activity, but it's mainly men and women carrying about 5 or 6 mugs a piece!!! :scared1: looks like everyone is getting breakfast for the crew!!

After getting in and getting what we need i take a pit stop at the Concierge desk just to see how long they think a dinner at Ohana should take and who has EMH and what not. Their answers are EVERYTHING i had gotten fromthe DIS so so far so good :teeth:

I get back to the room and DH is soaked from head to toe and DS is on the bed naked!
ME:

ummm did you take a bath with him?? :laughing:

DH:

This kid is crazzzy!!

ME:

SO i take over and DS is dressed in no time, and he looks sooo cute!! but it doesnt' take Gabriel more than 5 minutes to throw up all over himself! :rolleyes: he does this ALL the time!!!

WIth all the hoopla we didn't even see DD wake up and get down from the bed and head to the bathroom!! She was ready for her bath and DH gladly let me take the reigns!!

DH loves giving baths normally so i think the whole vacation brain made him forget how splashy the kiddies can get!!

Once baths and showers are over we are ready to head out for the day!!! :yay:

We open up the enormous thing that is the double stroller and are ready to go! everyone loaded! diaper bag packed! snacks and sippies ready! :woohoo:
(YES it ALWAYS takes us this long to get out the door!!!)

It's 8am and we are MK bound!!! we walk the 100 miles to the bus stop and make a QUICK U-Turn to the parking lot! hahaha!! the lines are long, but moving fast!! however we realize with the bulk of the double stroller and the squirminess of the kids we are better off using the singles if we want to ride the bus!! soo we head to the car! ::yes::

We get to the parking lot and there is a lonnnng line to park! We roll down the window and DH aske a CM (HASSAN) if he is opening the next lane (he is standing by the cones) and he says no. So DH inches forward a tiny bit and HASSAN decides to move the cones BEHIND our car and the cars behind get moving to the front!!!! :sad2:

grrrrrr.... we were a tad bit upset, but got over it quick!
So if you see Hassan don't believe him!! :laughing:

WE of course are at the END of the row and so another trek begins.

***At this time we notice that taking the bus to the parks EVEN if you have to wait for a couple of busses is still WAAAAY faster! we still have to wait for a tram and THEN the monorail and such.***

DH and i decide a plan of action as we are walking. Load Autumn first i go on next he passes me Gabriel and we slide all the way down, he hands me the diaper bag and fold the stroller and loads himself then pulls up the stroller! This plan remains intact throughout the entire trip and it's GOOOLD! ::yes::

Well DH LOVES the monrail :love: so we know where we are headed!! we have been to WDW LOADS of times!! sooo we like to think we're pros! we were a bit distracted by the rush of people and of course the stroller and diaper bag and a last minute panic

Magic Kingdom

We Finally get our act together and get to the Right Monorail
and are headed down that ramp from the station to the park!!

Who here gets goosebumps when you get that glimpse of the train
station?? <<raises hand>> i was just shivering with excitement!

In the monorail we had unloaded all the bags from underneath the
strollerand i had them all, but now this left us wondering, is a
stroller considered a bag or not? he had nothing to check, but we
decided to just go into the bag line together.

At this point in time i just wanted IN IN IN!! But of course we have
wait in the lines of people that have no clue what "put your finger
in the little scanner" means! :sad2: THEN there are the people that
don't know BOTH side of the ticket machines are working and when DH
& I head to one of the open ones, even though the others are backed up
20 people, we get the dirty looks! :rolleyes: THEN there are the people
that won't put their ticket in if the CM is talking to someone else!
These ticket machines are a real trip! ::yes:: but we are finally IN!
After a year of no WDW, it feels GREAT to be back!! As wonderful as it
feels to drive under the sign; check into your resort; go to DTD, there
is no feeling like walking into a WDW park for the first time of your
vacation!! IT's a combination of excitement and feeling like you have
to pee!! (seriously!!) Sooooo...needless to say as we are walking under
train station we grab maps and DH is putting the bags underneath the
stroller and i am......SPRINKLING Pixie Dust!!! pixiedust: DH is just
shaking his head and others are looking at us like we are sooo not
normal! (was that you???) THEN DH and i hear someone say:
"is that really pixiedust mommy??"

WHAT a moment for magic!! but the mom, says nooo it's glitter :sad2:

As DH and i pass that stroller, we shake our heads yes and i sprinkle
a little on her!! :teeth: That little girls face lit up like a
christmas tree!!

As we are headed down mainstreet, DH is filming the kids reactions,
then that castle looms into view and i am jumping up and down like
a toddler at her own birthday party! DD is pointing and saying
"ooooooo" DS is just looking at all the people going by!! Then DH
turns around and as he pulls the camera down, he looks and smiles, the
he puts his arm around me and we cruise down Main Street just like that!
WONDERFUL!

First Stop: Baby Car Center!! Make a left after Caseys and it's right
next to the first aid center! No strollers allowed in here, but that's
alright, because everyone is awake. We head in and MARY is ready to
point us in the right direction! ::yes:: :wizard:

First things first, DIAPERS! the tables were clean and waiting for us!
We each take a kid and BOOM BABY we are done! DH and i each take turns
using the bathroom ourselves and then we are just about to leave, but
decide to pick up the much needed binkies, that we didn't bring on this
trip! :scared1: :scared: DS is pretty good without it, but you just never
know! We bought two! we were ready for the total to be 25.00 but it was
just 3.02!! For Gerber brand Nuks! That's a GREAT price! 1.51 each!
They cost that much at our TARGET if not a little more! So we are
impressed with that!! :yay: :cheer2: (DISNEY dont' go getting any
ideas about raising that price now!!)

Now it's time to EAT! isn't it crazy how we've been in this magical
place and we are only changing diapers and eating :rolleyes: we need
to get our act together!!

We decide to head to our old standby-must-visit-every-trip-place Cosmic
Rays!!

DH gets the Chicken and Ribs Combo thing! ITS HUGE! i wish we would
have shared! (i don'thave any pics of this sorry!)

Chicken; ribs; fries; carrots!
DD gets some chiken and the carrots
DS gets some of the mashed carrots (mashed by me!) and a sippy of water

I get the cheese steak!! yummyyyy!!!

DD gets some of the steak and some mushrooms
DS gets a french fry

Dessert:
The most delicious Choc. cake EVER!! YUMMY!

We had brought with us a Thinsulate bag that held DDs milk and DSs
bottles, it kept everything cold ALL DAY! bought at Babies R Us for
7.99 and we kept a zip lock bag with ice in it at all times!! EVERY
place will give you a cup of ice for free :)

So as DH and i split one cake, the other went into the bag and we had
it later in the day when we needed a snack! :yay: ::yes::

Finally done with eating, we head over to Tommorrowland and fast pass
Space Mountain, then head over to Buzz lightyear, NO LINE!!

I ride with DD and DH rides with DS, their picture looks soo cool! ours
not-so-much! I still CANNOT beat DH and he had a baby on his lap! i
think he knows a secret target that i'm not getting!! ORRRR it could be
the fact that Autumn was just spinning our pod around in circles!!

After that we head out and Stitch is right there!!! YAAAAY!!!
Well not-so-yay DD won't even get the tiniest bit close!! :sad2:
DS however thinks it's soo cool! THEN out comes Buzz and we are frist
over there!! THEN out comes LILO and we are over there next! :woohoo:

Finishing up the first post!!

As we are heading to the TTA, we make a stop at the stroller to drop
off the photo that they bought and pick up sippie cups!

DD happens to really like the TTa, DS not-so-much! he's wiggling like
crazy for the entire length of the ride and as we are about to get off,
i look down and he's asleep!!!! HOW Do THEY DO THAT????

So we figure we will head back for naps after Space Mountain! We put
him down in the stroller and we are OFF!
I ride first!!! Fast pass in hand i hop in line and whoa,....THERE IS
NO LINE!!! gotta love fast pass!!

**Now with the Baby Swap thing, why did we fast pass?**
Because with the baby swap, the first parent waits in the regular
line and the second gets to wait in the fast pass line. Soo it would
be much quicker if we both fast passed, UNLESS the regular line is only
5 minutes long, then we don't have to wait for our fast pass time to
come up!! ::yes::

Okay am i older or is Space Mountain scarier?? :scared: i screamed the
ENTIRE TIME! :lmao: i was soo thrilled with it all! (must have been
the fact that i didn't get to ride it last year since i was pregnant!)

I get off and right in the exit there after you get off that people
mover, DH is sitting and DD is passed out in his arms :angel: so now
i have 2 sleeping angels to watch and he is off!!!

We both agree that ride is AWESOME!

So now the debate ensues...do we head back to the room for naps? or
do we stay since they will wake up while we put them on the tram and
then into their car seats??

Sooo we sit at the lunching pad in the center of tommorowland at a
shady table and split a frozen coke :love: we chat and laugh at all
the craziness that has happened to us and i scout for Lime Green
Mickey Heads!!

Not a lime in site, but i did manage to spill half of the frozen coke
all down my shirt :sad2: DH thought this was sooo funny!! why oh why
can't i be normal?? :confused:

Toon Town

So as we head over to Toon Town after relaxing and chatting for
over an hour!! :scared1: we stop and watch the people riding those
cars at the tomorrowland speed way! some of those parents look like
they are NOT wanting to be there :teeth: i can't blame them with all
the jerking that goes on! DH and i just like to people watch! As we are
headed to the judges tent where Mickey Mouse is, the kiddies wake up
just in time!! PERFECT! We park the car in front of the big top tent
and AWAY we go!

DD is in AWE at everything in Mickey's House, so what should take
5 minutes to go through takes us over 20!! she is ooooing and ahhing
over the gloves in his bedroom and the bike in the living room, it is
too funny!!

**I can't wait to add pics, they are really cute!!**

We finally get in to see Mickey and Autumn is PETRIFIED! so i hold
her and take pics of DH and DS with Mickey. Mickey waves and blows
kisses as DD from where he is and it's really very sweet, because he
tries soooo hard ::yes:: Autumn will wave to him, but that's about it.

The minute we leave the room:

DD is all happy and pointing out EVERYTHING with Mickey mouse on it!
She's hooked, but fine staying a far distance!!
:yay: :woohoo: :cheer2:

Before i can steer her away, she has seen it and makes a mad dash
pulling me right behind her!!

Donalds Boat! within minutes both kids are soaked as am I and DH!
it's soo much fun, but it doesn't take long to realize that DH
and I are the only parents actually playing in the water with the kids.
All the other parents are sitting on the fence watching.. :guilty:
:blush: I wonder if they are just thinking we are bad parents! haha
or if they just think we're nuts?? :confused2: The latter may be true,
but we just love these spish splashy things!! ::yes:: Not to mention
EVERYONE has a change of clothes in the stroller, so we're doing great!

We want to take some great photos, so i stand behind the kids and DH
gets the camera ready and out of the blue, a HUGE gush of water NAILS
me in the back of the head!! i almost fall over!! :laughing: i had NO
clue that water came out from INSIDE the boat!!! Everyone was totally
laughing at me!! DH almost fell over he was laughing so hard! Now i
just looked ridiculous, but it was soo much fun!!


The rest of MK, since there is nothing too outrageous until OHANA i can sum it up pretty fast :teeth:

Fantasyland and BEYOND!
First stop is the Bathroom as you are on your way out of Toon Town
or on your way in! it's like a Garage sorta thing??

EWWW EWWW EWWW! THIS is why i like going to the Baby Center NO MATTER
where in the park i am! It was STINKY and gross! good thing i had
the mini can of OUST!!
but i didn't want the kids to go around soaked!
SOOOOOOO we stop in the conpanion restroom and there is no changing
table here (which we remember from last year). We just recline the front
seat in the double stroller and do it all. BUTTTTTTTT DD does NOT NOT
NOT want to take off her Cinderella Dress. she is screaming "NO RELLY
No RELLY" sooooo even though she is wet, it stays on :sad2: Diapers
are changed many clothes are changed and awaaaay we go!

We hit the spinning Tea Cups first and the line is 10 minutes! i think
we can handle it!! :scared:


YEAH RIGHT!

Autumn HATES waiting in line and thinks since she is small enough to
fit under the que ropes, that means she gets a go ahead! hahaa!! good
thing DH picked her up after that first experience!! ::yes::

Autumn and Gabriel LOVE this ride and argue about WHO gets to spin
the wheel :laughing: as if we are actually spinning :rolleyes: it's
cute and so fun!

We hit up EVERYTHING in Fantasyland except for Philharmagic :sad2:

the kids made me cry on IASW as you can tell in the address to my
trippie troll a few posts up! they danced and held hands and pointed
and smiled..soo cute!

of course DH and i CANNOT stand that ride! but at 10 minutes, we HAD
to do it twice!

Winnie The Pooh was a big hit for DD and once again Peter PAns Flight
was NOT worth the wait :teeth:

We ALWAYS left stuff in our stroller and NEVER had anything stolen, i
know a lot of people worry about this. We had diaper bags, clothes,
bags of souvies. you name it :teeth:

Haunted Mansion was fun for all and Autumn LOVED the stretchy room!
After that we decided it was time to head back to the car and head out,
since we had to get changed in the room and then take a wee rest and
get over to OHANA on time!

Yep, I do know about bringing the change of clothes for the adults. Mothing like having a reflux child on nutramegin (sp) formula. The smell--you can't compare it to anything--it is that bad. My little guys is 13mths and we have been truely reflux free for 1.5 mths. It will get better. When Joshua was born, my DH and our friends moved us in to our new house--well after the first three months you could not tell we ever had new carpet. This coming summer we are going to get rid of it and put down something else--it is that bad. Only been in the house 13mths and already need new carpet :confused3

OHANA

We Decided to drive straight there, so as not to deal with an
accidental monorail trip or anything like that :blush: :laughing:

We get to the guard station and only have to say we have ressies
to eat there and we're good to go! we get easy parking and head
in! :yay:

We arrive about 30 minutes early and are seated right away!!! :earseek:
We get a seat at the back of the restaurant right behind the fire grill
with our backs to the wall. The side i sit in is a booth and DH is in
a chair! They have our 2 high chairs there already, but we end up
only needing one. DD wants to sit in the booth with Mommy!! :yay: I
love where we are seated, because it's great to be so close to the exit
if we have a melt down (we end up having 2) and it's in a quiet area.

Cousin Kulani is our waiter and he is quick and efficient! A+

This meal was FABULOUS! so many people are upset with the menu change
and what-not, but i have been BEFORE and AFTER the menu change and it
is still just as good!!

We don't order anything for the kids since DD already has milk, DS

So the food comes and it's fabulous! DH keeps eating and eating!
i only make it with one serving of EVERYTHING!

With 2 kids the peel and eat shrimp are a pain! I know they make
you peel them, so you don't eat too much, but still its' a pain!
the potatoes are AWESOME!!! AWESOME!!! AWESOME!! i still want more!

The sausage was my favorite! the steak was too dry for me (i'm a
medium rare kind of gal!) everything else was GREAT!

Unfortunately we did not make it to Dessert, because it just got to
be too much for the kids, they were ready to go! so we asked for the
check. DH took care of everything while i took the kids out.

After about 20 minutes i head back in and wonder what is going on
and DH hands me the check.

Cousin Kulani had charged us for 2 kids meals???? We explained how
the kids were under 3 AND that we only gave them very little off
our plates, he looked confused and left then returned with our card,
but no receipt. Soo first stop FD back at POP!

All in All GREAT FOOD!
Autumn loved going around with the kids and dancing and it was fun
going around with her!! A couple got engaged there that night too!
so cute!

Back To POP We GO!!
Well with dinner over, it was time for us to head back to our resort!
I decided to drive!! :scared1: I think i passed each and every sign that
headed us in the right direction :laughing: i'm sooo not good at this
whole, follow me thing :sad2: After about 3 U-turns, i got us back to
the POP!!

In order to get into the POP, if you are a guest, you go into the
middle lane and slide your card in!! :blush: well i pull up real cool
:smooth: roll down that window, lean out, and hmmm....okay...my arm
is waaaay too short, to put the key in the box! NOW there are 2 cars
behind me! :blush: So i undo my seatbelt and i think i can reach now..
I lean and STILL NO! YIKES! now i have someone flashing their lights at
me and DH, is just saying "get out of the car" :lmao: all while laughing
away!! :sad2: i'm getting annoyed at my short arm and i can't open the
door, since i'm a bit too close, so i yell to the guard:

UMMM HEEEEY EXCUSE ME GUAAAARD???!!!

you have to put your KEY IN!!

MGM

So we've learned that we don't have to set any alarms, our kids will
dictate the day :)

Gabriel and Autumn have us up at 6am, and we know we want to be @ MGM by
opening so that we can have a close parking spot and do the big rides!
We had a plan today! outfits had been picked out the night before and
The stroller bags were packed and ready to go!!

We both showered and then bathed the kids & we were off! the entire
morning was uneventful!

we arrive at MGM 20 minutes until opening and :woohoo: we are only
the 4th row back! NOW THIS is awesome!!

----SIDE NOTE----
EVERY time we parked our car, we left ourselves a recorded
message on the cell phone as to where we were parked!
----END SIDENOTE---

It takes us about 20 minutes to unload and buckle everyone in, but
we are SET! We get through the gates NO PROBLEM! First stop that little
dining help station on Hollywood BLVD there! I need to change around my
dining and need something for today ::yes:: after waiting a bit, we
get PLAYHOUSE DISNEY!!! :woohoo: we were not really keen on trying this
but figured what the hay! :teeth: We are doing an early lunch, so we
have plenty of time.

First stop TOT! DH is not a fan, so i head on first!! NO WAIT! the line
thing says 10 minutes, but it probably took me 10 minutes to walk all
the que and that was about it!!!

I had a GREAT time and the elevator was totally empty! there were
probably 7 of us on there!!

NEXT DH rides and he's back in about 15 minutes!!

Now it's time for RNRC!! 5 minute wait!!!! we get fast passes for later
and then DH heads off! i take Autumn out of her stroller and she is
dancing around. She sees a little girl and is dancing with her, the
mom strolls up and says hi! she chats with Autumn for a bit as i watch
and then looks around "where is your mommy?" i chime in "i'm right here"
and then the lady looks up surprised "ohh"
Don't know what that meant, but glad all was taken care of :teeth:

---SIDE NOTE---
DH had taken the cmera on this ride with him (video) and had somehow
while heading to the ride turned it on!! so we have about 5 minutes of
blurry video of RNRC!!! It's hilarious, cause you also hear him
screaming :earseek: and he INSISTS it's the guy next to him!!

DH is back in no time and i take off!!!

I get through everything no problem and then i'm in line!
i'm second from the last car, but i can't get into my little
area, because the boy that is supposed to be in the back row, is
gripping onto my bar for DEAR LIFE. He is crying and shaking his head
and INSISTING he CANNOT ride this ride! he DOES NOT want to ride!
i myself am frightened for the kid. (He's about 10) His father YELLS
at him to GET IN LINE OR ELSE. The kid is shaking and after about 3
minutes of this, their car arrives (they are in the ride before me).
The Boy is CRYING AND SCREAMING now and then says IF I RIDE I WILL
PEE MY PANTS I AM TOO SCARED NOOO NOOO NOOOO. Well this dad tells him
if he does not get on HE IS GOING TO GET IT! so the dad PICKS UP HIS
CHILD AND SHOVES HIM INTO THE CAR!!! :scared1: :scared: I am terrified
and get out of line to say something, then the dad SHOVES the headrest
down over his head and the kid is SCREAMING! I open my mouth and then

looking secret door!

This was the SCARIEST moment of our trip! i was sooo afraid for that boy and
i'm afraid for what happened to him :sad2:

I don't want to end this segment on a sad or abs. stunned note, so i
will go on a bit longer.

Next up was Playhouse Disney!!! :yay: not our lunch yet, but the show!
Autumn AND Gabriel LOVED IT! they were clapping and dancing!! we'd never
done it before, so it was AWESOME!! All the kids enjoyed it and it was
so high energy!!! :yay: This is a DEFINATE MUST for anyone with a
toddler!!

After that we went into the ART OF DISNEY store! We LOVE this store!
sooo cool and sooo much stuff that we love! Well we heard an older
couple talking to a CM about how they had JUST WON the DVC membership!
:faint: :faint: HOW COOL! we tried to evesdrop a bit more, but
unfortunately with kids like ours, we had to be on the move!! :teeth:

I have seen many of parents force their kids on rides that they wre terrified of. I do not understand why they do this--I feel for those kids--just wonder what might go on behind closed doors.

---SIDE NOTE---
DH had taken the cmera on this ride with him (video) and had somehow
while heading to the ride turned it on!! so we have about 5 minutes of
blurry video of RNRC!!! It's hilarious, cause you also hear him
screaming :earseek: and he INSISTS it's the guy next to him!!

DH is back in no time and i take off!!!

I get through everything no problem and then i'm in line!
i'm second from the last car, but i can't get into my little
area, because the boy that is supposed to be in the back row, is
gripping onto my bar for DEAR LIFE. He is crying and shaking his head
and INSISTING he CANNOT ride this ride! he DOES NOT want to ride!
i myself am frightened for the kid. (He's about 10) His father YELLS
at him to GET IN LINE OR ELSE. The kid is shaking and after about 3
minutes of this, their car arrives (they are in the ride before me).
The Boy is CRYING AND SCREAMING now and then says IF I RIDE I WILL
PEE MY PANTS I AM TOO SCARED NOOO NOOO NOOOO. Well this dad tells him
if he does not get on HE IS GOING TO GET IT! so the dad PICKS UP HIS
CHILD AND SHOVES HIM INTO THE CAR!!! :scared1: :scared: I am terrified
and get out of line to say something, then the dad SHOVES the headrest
down over his head and the kid is SCREAMING! I open my mouth and then

I did get several PMs on the Pla House Disney Buffet at Hollywood & Vine and i'm sorry i have not had time to respond to them all, and i can't do a thourough revuew right now!! (kids! :rolleyes: ) but it's FABULOUS and soooo worth it!

The dancing was fun and the little toy they gave the kids at the end of lunch did it's job, i went out and bought 12 more when we got home :sad2:

they give out those little Peek a Blocks by Fisher Price, but the round ones!! My kids own EVERY single square one (NO i am not kidding) so now we are on our way to collecting the round ones!!

I think DH is right, that Fisher Price PAYS WDW to hand them out!!

My DS took his video camera (our old one) on this ride. He left it on the entire time and had his hand up. I hadno clue that he had done this. WHen he exited the CM told him very nicely not to film the ride again :rolleyes1.He was not trying to break the rules. He did not think anything about it, but it is some good footage.

i have to tell you all about something i found. DMM took "pixie dust" with her on her trip.....well, i was at our local "dollar tree" yesterday, and there in a box by the register were necklaces with little bottles of "fairy dust" hanging from them, with a little "fairy" "hanging on to" the bottle. i was like "omg! i need one for WDW"!!! the pixie dust comes in silver, blue, and green. i got blue pixiedust: they are the cutest things! i just wanted to share this b/c i read others liking dmm's idea.

TOT is my all time favorite ride. I could ride it over and over again. Before they had seat belts on all rides I would ask to sit on the back row in the middle just to have a seat belt and not the bar. You get sooo much more air time that way, but now they all have seat belts, but I still perfer the back row. Try it out it is great.

Yes, the air time is great! You feel like you're floating! :goodvibes Don't worry too much. I was really scared to ride it at first, and the first time I was at MGM, I didn't ride it, but my next trip I did, and now I love it! It's really fun. And the whole ride is good, not just the drops. Try to just enjoy it--then you'll want to go back on! :thumbsup2

--NEXT UP More MGM--
We decide to keep strolling a bit more towards the backlot tour.
On our way we see those little trailers set up with the characters
out front and it's cute to take the kids to see them. Autumn is still
pretty scared of these characters, sooo her and i take the photos and
then Daddy & gabriel stand with everyone! He loved it!! we peeked
around the corner and saw MICKEY MOUSE in this little room!! and it
was EMPTY!!! :woohoo: That was PURE luck! We go in and the CMs were
WONDERFUL with Autumn who didn't want to get too close! they took
TONS of photos of Gabriel and us and then they wheeled Autumn in her
stroller up close and Mickey was GREAT! He neared verrrry slowly, and
even though she was still weary, he got her waving and blowing him
kisses! I can't believe how good they are with that. When she would
get scared he would back away and play with Gabriel!! too sweet!
We were EASILY in there 20minutes and NOT bothered at all! and they
chatted with us and were in no hurry to be rid of us either! it was
sooo amazing!!

As we exit Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable see us and head right to
the strollers! they ask the kids names and chat away with them! it was
fabulous!!! They post for lots of pictures and push the strollers
around, and then they are off!! it was neat!

I'm hearing a rumbly in everyons tummies though!
So it's time to eat, so we head over to H&V for lunch at the
Playhouse Disney buffet. Little Gabriel was sound asleep and they
let us bring the stroller in!!!1 that was super sweet and sooo great!!
We had a good seat and the entertainment was fabulous!

Mozzerella & tomato Salad (SOOOO good!!)

This character meal involved ALOT of dancing around with the
characters, which made it GREAT for wiggly toddlers that don't like
to sit still the whole time!! ::yes::

We got REALLY into everything that we never even cared about
the food, but I thought it was really good.

Autumn got down to dance really close to the table and then before
i knew it she was dancing with 2 other little girls and then LEO came
up to them and SHE GAVE HIM HER HAND!!! :sad1: :sad: It was the most
magical moment EVER EVER EVER! I was just streaming tears as i am
videotaping this whole thing! A CM comes up to me and says:
"you better stop crying now!"

and i was just shocked! i thought i was maybe scaring someone or
something, so i put the camera down and look up and the CM says:

"B/c you are making me cry too!!"

Her eyes are tear filled and it's just another special moment!!!

All in all this was THE BEST meal EVER! we wanted to book again, but
they didn't have any availability :( so maybe next time!!! :yay:

Been enjoying your trip report! We're headed to WDW in January and have booked the Playhouse Disney lunch with our DD5 and DD2. I'm hoping for a reaction like your daughter's from our DD2. She loves all the Playhouse Disney characters, especially the Little Einsteins. I've read some not so good reviews of the food there, and I'm pleased to hear that you thought it wasn't so bad.

The food was not terrible by any means, but we found that when booking character interactions, we are there for just that and that is mainly what you are paying for not the food :teeth:

We really noticed that we never cared what the food was as long as it was there ::yes::

EVERYONE had fun at playhouse Disney including the adults, so you should have a BLAST!!!!

We saw many tables of families with one pre schooler and older children and let me tell you the older children were getting down too :teeth: (13yr olds!!!!) it was just
sooo much fun!!

Our littlest (gabrile 9 months) also loooved looking at everything and dancing in his
high chair!!! it was soo cute!!!

Well we decided to head back to the room for some rest and then we would
be back later that night. As we are exiting, we are caught up in the
parade traffic, so we can't cross the road. NO problem, we find a spot
in front at the TAIL end of the parade, hooooow COOL! we are seated on
the floor and the kids stay in their strollers to watch. NO problem
Autumn is waving, Gabriel is babbling, we are having sooo much fun!
Lilko and Stitch go by, MAry Poppins, and then a couple people with
TEENS step in front of the strollers!!! :earseek: and JUST STAND THERE!
DH asks them to move and they don't! we ask them again, and they say
no, they want to watch too!! we ask them one final time stating that
the kids cannot see in their strollers!! AND THEY DO NOT MOVE!
One final time....they act like they don't hear us this time, so DH
gets up and RAMS them with the stroller. :blush: they look back SWEAR
and move to the side! i mean there was room EVERYWHERE! and they could
see if they stood behind us! we were sitting down!! everyone could see!
The park was pretty EMPTY, there was room EVERYWHERE! ::yes::
:furious: I was pretty steamed, until the family next to us whispered
to me (we would've done the same thing!!) :teeth: that made me smile!
We REALLY are considerate with our stroller, but i mean these were
ADULTS standing in front of the kids! grrr.....

After the parade we headed out and whipped out the cell phone and found
our car no problem! AWESOME! we hopped in and AWAY we went back to POP!
sorta.....kinda.....

DH decided to hit the WDW outlet in the Premium Outlet mall! They had
some great stuff at great prices! we brought grandma and grandpa and
nana, some T's and the the kids some toys! We were on vacation, so we
only went there and stayed away from the rest of the mall! who wants to
shop?? not us!!

Finally back at the room, we all passed out!!! (gotta love naps!!)

We went for a late breakfast and had such a great time. Even Lauren did and she can't stand JoJo....you know she's too old for that show!! ;)
We thought the food was really yummy!!! And it was quite empty!
But as we left and lunch was about to begin being served we could see the crowd growing and growing!! :teeth:
