There have been questions about what kinds of makeup to wear in the 'world, and luckily, I made the right choices :goodvibes First of all- I wore mineral makeup foundation (in my case, Everyday Minerals) daily. It's a loose powder, it doesn't melt off, and it stayed put. But the best part of all: I'm as pale as it gets, and although I didn't put any actual sunscreen on my face, I got NO sunburn there. I used regular ol' sunscreen on my body, and burned. Mineral makeup has natural 'screen and it ended up working better than the lotion kind.
Mascara! I had mentioned in previous threads that I wear Kiss Me mascara, made by Blinc. I have naturally watery eyes and cry easily as well ;) so I wear this daily. I wore it in the 'world and through sweating, water rides, rain, and even swimming with my face immersed, it STAYED ON. It builds tubes around your eyelashes and the only way to get it off is to soak it and apply pressure at the same time (like, in the shower, while gently pressing down on your lashes). http://www.blincinc.com/about_kiss_me.htm It can be bought cheaper on eBay.
Also used MAC's TechnaKohl eyeliner in graphblack which stayed put just fine. After all, it's MAC!

Thanks for the makeup tips! I always wear foundation at WDW and I love to hear what works for other people.
I also wore mineral makeup during my last trip in August and it really stayed well. I used a sunscreen before applying it and for the first time, I didn't get burnt (I usually burn with suncreen alone).

AH HA!! Thanks for the tip...I've been searching for a new mascara - esp. waterproof...going to have to try this. I use Bare Minerals makeup so I totally agree with you on the mineral makeup! I won't wear anything else now! And we can carry our makeup on the plane since it's not liquid! Ah, it's the little things that just make my day! :woohoo:
Don't hate us 'cuz we're beautiful!!! princess:

I have never tried this makeup but I would love to try it out! I see Sephora and QVC sell it--aswell as the id website. Can you recomend a a few "must have" items aswell as the best place/price to purchase? Thanks.
I used Bare Minerals for several years, until I found Everyday Minerals. Half the price, and even better, in my opinion!! For foundation, you have 4 options with Everyday Minerals -- original glo (that dewey look,) semi-matte, matte, and my favorite, intensive. Mineral makeup is so great for this humid climate! (Our climate here is pretty identical to Orlando's.)
*hugs her Everyday Minerals*

(I don't wear it at home, so I certainly wouldn't wear it in the hot humid Florida weather!)

LOL I was going to ask why the need to put on makeup to go to a park it seems silly to me but eh what do I know I am a guy. I guess because my DW never wears the stuff I am not used to it I would cringe if she did and had to stop to re do it or even just doing it in teh morning before we go that is burning park time and that is a no no in our family.
Where can you buy Everyday Minerals? I just bought some Bare Minerals powders last month and really like them, but they're very expensive.

I can't leave the house without makeup O_O I'm normally a full makeup kinda girl- various blended shades of eyeshadow, bronzer, concealer, lipstick, blah blah. But at Disney I narrow it down to powder, mascara and occasionally eyeliner.

In a word, YES! Especially for all the pictures that are going to wind up in the photo albums!
(I have very fair skin and blonde eyelashes, so my features kind of "disappear" unless I wear makeup.) Just the basics though: foundation, blush, eye shadow and mascara for daytime.
Of course, foundation with sunscreen is good to use all year round, and not just when in Florida, for protection against the UVB rays that burn, and the UVA rays that age the skin. (fine lines and wrinkles-- )
I think that whatever makes a person feel both comfortable and attractive is what matters, whether its a bare face or a more made up face.
(But please, use the sunscreen!!) :sunny:

Hmmm...I've never tried Everyday Minerals, I should check them out. The one thing I love about the mineral makeup is that I don't feel like I've got make up on...liquid foundation always made me feel like I had a mask on and then if it was hot, my face, errrr, mask, would feel like it was sliding down my face!!
One of the things I could probably not live without, as far as Bare Minerals goes, is "Warmth" - it's like a bronzer and since I'm fair skinned and blonde it makes me look like I have kind of a healthy glow and my face doesn't look so ghostly white!! I even have to draw in my eyebrows because they're so light! How sad is that!
And I could definitely never go anywhere without makeup...it's not fair to those around me!!! :rotfl2:

I just bought a bare mineral starter kit yesterday and I love love love it. It blends perfectly, its perfectly light. I will NEVER wear anything else. I had decided to just go all barefaced and scary to disney but now I can actually get in the pictures and look pretty.

I have a question for all the Bare Mineral users. I love my Bare Minerals, but it's so messy. I seem to leave powder all over the sink. Is there a trick to making it less messy? Also I'm in between colors right now, so I try to mix part of 2 different kinds, but again, I make a mess. Last question...how do you to touch ups through out the day? Do you carry arount the foundation case and the brush? Is there a compact option?
Liliyana
09-27-2006, 04:41 PM
Hee hee... I don't get too much powder on the sink anymore, but I learned to put on my mineral makeup before getting dressed. Otherwise it sprinkles all over my shirt.

I do my makeup before I get dressed as well so I don't get it on my clothes! I have not yet figured out how to make it less messy though. I have a small towel that I lay out on my vanity in the morning to try and catch the mess - although it seems to not be very much. I just throw it in the wash every few days and keep it folded up between uses so it doesn't go all over the place.
They do have a compact that I got once - but don't recall seeing it in the catalog...I'm on an automatic delivery program and each package comes with a free gift, like a little thing of moisturizer, the compact or a new brush, etc...
And I've definitely played around with mixing colors too, but it can get a bit messy! It's hard to do, but you can get that shaker top off so the container is completely open...if not, just mix inside the lid of a jar.
For touch ups I use the lighter brush that I use for the mineral veil - it's like a lighter coverage brush as opposed to the full coverage Kabuki brush. I just try to either keep my compact with me or keep a spare jar in my bag. I get 2 jars of the Light at a time, so I usually have plenty of that to spare.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the replies. Makes me feel better that I'm not the only one that found it messy. I'll have to see if I can find the compact. I haven't seen that before.
Thanks again!

What kind of moisturizer is it? I have oily skin so I have to be careful with that. I use Philosophy's Hope in a Jar. Do you put any kind of finishing powder over your mineral foundation? Or of course, it could be something hormonal. :)

Ok ladies. Just got my BE samples in the mail. Boy, were they teeny tiny! Anyway, it was really difficult to use the loose powder. Bad day to wear black. It was ALL over me by the time I finished. Plus, what didn't make it on my shirt or face, fell in the sink and made a really big mess that I couldn't cleam up very quickly. Anyway, overall I really liked the makeup--just too messy for me. I haven't tried all the colors I picked but the color I wore today was a little too pink for me. It was hard to order off the internet. I'll have to check out BM at Sephora.

I also thought this was very messy, I'm sure if I could get used to using the different shades and not have to blend and blend I might love this. I am so used to my Merle Norman foundation that goes on clean and smooth. Thanks for the tip though.
All you have to do is read the ingredient list on regular liquid foundation, and you will never put it on your skin again. YUCK!!!! :faint:
Mineral makeup can be messy at first, but once you get used to it and learn some little tricks it's way less messy than gloopy foundations. As for blending, that's what I love best about the stuff -- I'm extremely fair normally, but tan really quickly and deeply, so I'm never at the same skin shade twice. Just by blending different tiny amounts of Warmth into my regular foundation shade, I can perfectly match my skintone that day.
If your skin is too "greasy" feeling, try something like Velvet Skin Coat (I swear by that stuff!!) by DHC. It goes on over your moisturizer and under your makeup. Or, try the "Matte" or "Intensive" formulas of Everyday Minerals. My skin in this heat and humidity gets very greasy too, and I love the Intensive formula. Between that and the Finishing Dust, my skin stays matte all day.
BTW, I have that compact, and it's so great for touch-ups. I have Finishing Dust in there. It's a BIG compact, but really super handy.

I need REALLY good cover! I feel "naked" if I dont have something on that provides good, complete cover. How are the mineral foundations in this respect? I am used to the liquid because of this and would be concerned about my face not being "finished"!! Also, how do you know what colors to buy? I do not know the shades that I would need? :confused3

I got mine this weekend. I had troubles picking out the right colors from the web, so my foundation colors are too light.
I had the same problem with the mess, but I'm messy with BM too. I found something that helped me with BM though.. when you get a new bottle, only remove half of the white sticker that covers the holes, that way only a little bit of product comes out at a time. On the ones where I didn't have the holes covered, there's a lot of it that just falls out when I open the container.
As you can tell I'm still getting us to using my BM. I work from home, so I don't usually wear makeup everyday (since no one sees me), so I'm working on getting the hang of it. I don't find that I get good coverage with the foundation like I do with liquid foundation, but I have been using the multi-tasking bisque to cover up any blemishes or skin discolorations from acne scars.

I had given up on trying to find make-up for me. I have oily skin, and the brand I used to use went out of business quite a while back. I have tried all different kinds of make-ups, including mineral, with no luck. I don't like the "shiny" finish or feel to my face. I ordered the sample pack and see that they specifically make make-up for oily skin, and there is more color combinations so I don't have to try to make my own color as I go. Plus I noticed they have a finish powder which sounds perfect for me. Thanks again!

Thanks for the tips, ladies- I ordered my sample pack today. Anybody know how this stuff is with dark circles? I don't use an all over foundation anymore, b/c I have found that a good concealer does the trick with my dark circles. I have thin skin under my eyes, and two bright blue veins that travel just over the top of the bone under my eyes- so I look like a circus freak with no make-up.
Just in case you were wondering -to the poster who asked why we wear makeup. Incidentally- if you don't wear makeup, why are your reading a post on make-up tips???? :confused3
Anyway, my mother swears by this stuff, but I have never tried it because of A) my dark circles, and B) Allergies. I know it's "all natural", but so is poolen, grass, ragweed, etc. I'm allergic to everything- even BENADRYL- so it's scary trying something new. But hey, it's free, so I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the link!

I'm a huge fan of Everyday Minerals. I custom blend Fair with Fairly Light to get a perfect match. I tap a bit of each onto a paper towel and mix it with the brush. When I'm done, I just fold up the towel and toss it in the trash. It saves a lot of mess.

I trie dthis today and used the basic concealer on my undereyes. I too have dark circles and puffiness due to allergies. I liked it better than ANY concealer I have ever used! Since it was a powder, it was a little messy, but I put the other powder over it and it blended nicely. I don't think I've looked so refreshed in years!
Hope you like it as much as I do!

Yaaaaay! :Pinkbounc Just wait until you wear it (well, both of these) in the parks. Nobody ever listens to me in real life, glad you took my advice on here :lmao:
I know that somebody had mentioned it being hard to choose colors online... With my most recent Everyday Minerals order, they included a little booklet with all the colors of foundation, blush, eyeshadow, everything! It made it *much* easier to see the colors, which helped a lot since I was trying to choose a new eyeshadow color. You might try and call them and ask if they can just send you one of the booklets.
BTW, if you've only tried the mineral foundation and not the eyeshadows, you're missing out!! The eyeshadows are amazing... much deeper and truer color since they use minerals to achieve the colors naturally. It's beautiful on! Even my 10 year old son noticed the difference!! :thumbsup2

I just got my free samples today. I have to try it out on my wrist for several hours before I am brave enough to go to my face. I am afraid I may be allergic to the micah in the makeup. But usually I can tell right away if I am going to have a reaction, and it feels great so far. I didn't see anyway for just a powder to cover up those blue veins but they disappeared on my wrist right before my eyes. And i had to use so little makeup! :sunny:
Now I only have two questions , if anyone can help...
It seems like this will rub off on your clothes. Or just rub off in general- if I snuggle my puppy, or a blanket or my husbands shirt... How much can I reasonbly expect this to hold up?
Also what happens if I get stuck in the rain? (or go to typhoon lagoon?... and YES i wear makeup to waterparks! I wear it everywhere no matter what)- THanks for the tip ladies!

I ordered my samples on Friday 10-13, got them yesterday (the18th) and wore them all day today. :cloud9:
I liked the coverage, it held up as well as my usual foundations, etc to a full day of work and the usual running around in some kinda humid weather. :thumbsup2
I did think I was a touch greasier than I like to be, but I didn't want to use my usual powder over the makeup because I wanted to give it a real test run.
However, I have been a little greasier than I like since I switched moisturizers to the Neutrogena Healthy Skin spf 15 with alpha-hydroxy. So maybe it wasn't the makeup.
Anyone recommend a good oil-control/ mattifying moisturizer that has spf / other health benefits?

I have the same problem with my skin, and live in a really humid sub-tropical climate, and I love both the Biore Pore-Minimizing Lightweight Moisturizer, and Biore Shine Control Moisturizer. I think the first one has an SPF of 15, but since the mineral makeup has a natural SPF of 15, I don't worry about my moisturizer having it.
Just a suggestion, though -- if you didn't use the Finishing Dust (Mineral Veil in BM) on top of your mineral foundation, you're missing out on the best part. It makes a HUGE difference. And reapplying it later in the day causes no caking or any of that -- it just looks matte and smooth and feels like air. I ran out yesterday, and am going through withdrawals. LOL Hurry up, Mr. Mailman!! :)

THANKS for these recommendations. And, I had a sample size of an oil control moisturizer in my drawer and used that today, and that did help a lot. (Unfortunately that sample is from a spa line I tried in Jamaica, so, um-- not something I will be ordering from *sweden*) I don't have the finshing dust, because I have the free samples. Good to hear that makes a big difference.
If this stuff holds up well to a weekend day... I'm ordering!

Thanks for the samples tip! Just ordered and hope it gets here quick! I've been using mostly Bare Minerals but also find I get a bit shiney if I don't use a little Cover Girl Clean pressed powder over top. Something I've just started using which is great so far is Philosophy's version of mineral make-up. It comes in a container with a sponge top type applicator and gives really good coverage with no mess since the loose powder is "trapped" inside and comes through the spongey thing. I then just dot on some B.M. concealer where I need it and set it with a light dusting of pressed powder. Hope it holds up in Florida! :goodvibes

I received my EM samples yesterday. This is my first experience with mineral make-up, and I have to say that I am very impressed so far. Today I'm wearing the semi-matte--it looks natural and feels wonderful. I look like me, without the ruddiness! It's a great weekend look, and I swear my skin is saying "Thank you."
I'll be experimenting with the shades I ordered, and checking out the difference between semi-matte and intensive, but I'm sold.
Thank you, OP! What did I ever do before the DIS?

Today I'm wearing the semi-matte--it looks natural and feels wonderful. I look like me, without the ruddiness! It's a great weekend look, and I swear my skin is saying "Thank you."
My skin says "thank you" for the mineral makeup too! When I first decided to try BM, I was so frustrated with my skin. It was breaking out all the time -- in my late 30's! -- and when it did break out it took FOREVER to clear. I had turned on the tv specifically to try and catch the Proactive infomercial again, because I was thiiiiis close to trying it.
Instead, I caught the BM infomercial and sat there watching it for a bit. What really caught my attention was when Leslie was talking about all the chemicals and fillers and binders and other disgusting stuff that was in the regular liquid makeup that I wore every day. No wonder my poor face was breaking out all the time!!
For anyone still on the fence about mineral makeup, check out this comparison page at the Everyday Minerals site:
http://www.everydayminerals.com/ingredients.html
Long story short, I get so many compliments on my skin now. Not only does it not break out, but the condition of it has actually *improved* by a large amount. I'm just so grateful.
Now I need to go check out that Blinc mascara! That stuff sounds like just what I've been looking for in a mascara!! :)

i use the mineral foundation. i have given it the 'true' test by living in Wisconsin. works great in warm/ humid conditions, doesn't wear off. and in the dead of winter it doesn't dry your skin out( i have very dry skin to begin with so this is like a godsend!) it really works great and it is so light weight! i love it! and it has SPF in it so while the rest of me burned to a crisp in the summer my face didn't!

I got my sample kit a few days ago in the mail and I LOVE IT! It makes my skin look so much better! I am prone to breakouts and I found that it really doesnt give me the coverage I want on my cheeks- so i dab the smallest amount of concealer on my cheeks only under it. If I could go back a few years I would have NEVER started wearing regular old makeup. Its so bad for your skin! I am telling my little sister now- that she needs to buy this stuff. Love it! BWT is there a huge difference in Everyday Minerals and Bare minerals? What does everyone think?

My mom sells avon and she has the new 'mineral' makeup they have. Im not a huge fan of it. UPDATE: Ive been wearing my mineral makeup for like 5 days now- and my skin is clearing up DRASTICALLY! I can see how its letting the skin breath, how it makes my skin look great, etc etc. I cant decide whether to try the Bare Essentials or just go ahead and order the Everything Kit from here. I am never putting heavy pore clogging makeup on again. Has anyone tried their potted lip color? Do you apply it with a lip brush?

Well, it stood up to a busy busy weekend and so.. I ordered everything I really liked in mini size along with some brushes on Monday.
Yesterday I started running a fever etc in the afternoon and just crashed when I got home and didn't wash my face or anything and... no zits this am! None so far all day. That would be unheard-of if I had fallen asleep with regular makeup on!!
After almost a full week of using the Everyday Minerals exclusively, I have seen a HUGE improvement in the texture of my skin.
RE: the mess-- I lay a paper towel on my countertop and line up everything I am going to use on it, and any dust falls there. Then, I use that papertowel to wipe my vanity area off. So-- catches the mess and helps me be neater in general. Also, if wearing your clothes when applying your makeup-- wear your bathrobe over top of your clothes. An extra step that is essential anyway, and a trick I learned from college acting days. (We'd wear bathrobes over our costumes whenever not on stage, including making up, smoking, etc.) These were two habits I had prior to using Everyday Minerals and while they do drop more dust than my old products, they don't make any more of a mess since the papertowel and bathrobe catch it. If you don't like using that many papertowels, then just designate a hand towel to be your makeup towel for the week. I sometimes do that or use a washcloth that I won't be using for my face again (I use a washcloth twice and then wash it-- sometimes it gets a third use as a "makeup cloth" for the counter.) But I personally prefer to just use the papertowel because it seems more sanitary to me.

Hey girls-
I started using mineral makeup about a year and a half ago and haven't touched "regular" makeup since, I love it!
You'd be surprised how many small mineral makeup companies there are. And formulas can differ so if one companies makeup doesn't work for you another's may.
There is a huge forum about mineral makeup on Delphi. They have a ton of info about companies, formulas and how to apply it. I've learned so much there so I just thought I'd pass it along.
Also, if you're leery of trying mineral makeup because you have really dry skin, don't be. I have yucky dry skin that gets worse in winter. This past winter was the first time I didn't have a flaky nose and cheeks and it dawned on me it was because I wasn't putting any chemicals on it!

How does the BLINC do with contacts? I can sleep in my BE just fine, but any mascara drives me nuts, especially if my contacts are out. How does BLINC do? Thanks!

I too ordered the sample of the Everyday Minerals because of this website. ABsolutely loving it and went back to order more. This stuff is awesome - easy to use and very lightweight. This weekend I'm throwing out everything else I have (could probably fill 2 large garbage bags!!!!) :cheer2:

I love this make-up and will NEVER use anything else!

I also LOVE the Blinc mascara and am looking into the eyeliner as well. Finally make-up to stay on my face all day!

I ordered the Everyday Minerals too after hearing about it on this site. I love it . I can deal with the mess while putting on the make-up at home, but what do you do when you're out and you need to touch up your make-up? I just know I'll get it all over my clothes! I love the concealer, it's the only thing that's ever worked to lighten up the area under my eyes. I actually look awake now and not like I've just rolled out of bed!

I received my samples and like them so far; very similiar to my BE products. I do have two questios though. Do the EM have sunscreen like the BE products? That's a biggie for me. And, has anyone tried the "green" concealer from EM? I've heard green is the way to go for dark under eye circles. BE doesn't have anything like that, but EM does. TIA!

Another Everyday Minerals user here. I haven't routinely worn makeup for over 10 years, but this year I decided I had to try some of the mineral makeup. A friend introduced me to Everyday Minerals and I love it. I wear the intensive. It does have an SPF of 15 (I think) and I also use a moisturizer with an SPF so I know my face is protected.
The sample sizes are very messy, but I've found the full size to be very usable and not nearly as messy.
I have a daughter who in a few years will be asking to wear makeup. I have no problem with her wearing Everyday Minerals. I love how clear my skin is since I've been using it. I'll be a customer for the long haul.

Soupermom - I too LOVE the everyday Minerals! I have problems with undereye circles. I purchased the EM Sunlight Color Correction and am very pleased with it. Here is the EM description
"Your Sunlight Color Corrector from Everyday Minerals is perfect for the under eye area. It reduces the appearance of dark under-eye circles and puffiness. "
I did not try the green concealer but I have fair to light skin tone. Best of luck!

Yep, any brand of mineral makeup has a natural sunscreen. It was EM that I was wearing in WDW, and it worked better than the "real" sunscreen I put on my body; my bod burned, but my face didn't :)
Green concealer is for covering redness (pimples, blotchiness etc) it works great. If your undereye circles are bluish like mine, you'll want a yellow coverup.

I have not tried the green concealor for dark circles. I have been using a stick "highlighter" by Benefit it is pink and is PERFECT!!! A makeup secret of Carmindy from "what not to wear" TLC. You can pick it up at Sephora or go tto the web site. Good luck

If you are getting a lot on the counter or on you, you are probably putting too much on the brush. Make sure you watch a show on QVC or an infomercial. OR go to a BE store and have them do a make-over on you. (Or a Sephora store).
Put just the tiniest little bit on your kabuki brush and swirl it around in the lid. Tap it on the cover. All of the loose stuff should fall into the lid. Then do your face. I generally do not get much of any fall-out on myself or the counter unless I have put too much on the brush. It doesn't take much!!! If you don't feel you have enough coverage on your face you can always go over it again.
The airline people loved my make-up bag, LOL. No liquid! However, I did forget to take out my lipgloss and mascara so I had to run back to the luggage check-in and ask them to throw them in one of the outside pockets!
Bare Escentuals is awesome. Keep your eyes on eBay also - good place to get different colors or sample eye colors to use. If you can pair up with a 'buddy' in buying the eye-shadows you will do well. I ordered some small make-up pots online and every BE eyeshadow we buy is left in the closet. I take out of it and make a small pot for my daughter, myself, my son's g.f. (who I converted!) and sometimes one of my daughters friends for a treat. There is no way a person would use up the eye shadow in a reasonable length of time unless you only wore one single color every day and slathered it on. The minerals just go so far.

WOW!!!!
They worked GREAT!
I did find that I wanted a touch up of concealer in the afternoons... but this was at 5 pm, after a day at the parks and a couple hours by the Polynesian's pool. I would touch up with a little concealer on my red marks (old acne scars mostly) and under my eyes, blend a bit of foundation over and then dust myself all over with the Soft bronzer, finish with the finishing dust! This took seconds and I looked ready to go. I was AMAZED at how well everything wore.
Other pluses: I get at least one (if not three) ugly big deep pimples at my period time each month. I have been using everyday minerals for several weeks prior to this trip and... this month... the little bit of pimple I got was significantly smaller and healed up extremely quickly. AND the makeup covered it!
Also, last year after a week at Disney wearing regular makeup I had awful breakouts by week's end. Not this time! AND-- just as someone else posted, it made going thru security with my makeup much better-- all I had to put in my little baggie was a tube of mascara and a lip gloss.
I always wear a moisturizer with sunscreen anyway, so I don't know how much the minerals contributed to this, but I never wore a hat and got not one bit of sunburn (I am fair and generally burn after a full day in the sun no matter what time of year.)
The Soft bronzer is one of the best products I have ever used-- it gives a lovely all over glowy look that doesn't look like you've used bronzer.
I LOVE my Everyday Minerals!
This is what I use and love:
intensive formula foundation (I am fairly light neutral)
email me blush
the basic concealer
Soft bronzer
finishing dust
I bought the premium foundation brush and I love it. Next time I order I will probably get a Kabuki and concealer brush, but I am also happy with the performance of my Sephora brushes that I already had. I am using a powder brush for the bronzer and another powder brush for the dust, a "blending" bruch for concealer and a blush bruch for blush. On my trip I used a Mary Kay travel brush kit and they worked great, too.
I even used the email me blush on my princess before our breakfast at the castle-- it looked lovely on her and not tacky like makeup can (usually) look on a 4 year old...

I know this thread is mostly about mineral makeup (which I'm about to go order samples of, thank you!), but I wanted to tout Kiss Me Mascara, by Blinc Inc.
I've been using that mascara for a little over 2 years now, and have converted dozens of my friends and family! I have pretty bad allergies, so my eyes are always tearing and watering, but this stuff holds up unbelievably well! No smudging, no smearing, no wearing off. I tried it after reading about it in a magazine (Allure, if memory serves), and couldn't believe how well it worked.
I discovered it on eBay at a discount a short time later, and use the same eBay seller all the time now.
(hops down off soapbox) There. I'm done now. Gotta go order my mineral makeup samples!

What I've found works for me is to use a tinted moisturizer (I've used Neutrogena, Stilla - buy this at sephora, and the Oil of Olay tinted brands) and a pressed or loose powder. I'm so terribly afraid of sun damage so I like to lather on all the extra protection I can get. I've found that the combination of the two works really well for me when visiting amusement parks and when snowboarding. I had a friend comment recently on how the combo made my skin look flawless. I may try out the mineral powders though. I've been eyeing them at Sephora for a while but just haven't taken the plunge quite yet.

Since I started buying Kiss Me Mascara on eBay almost 2 years ago (as opposed to the company's own site), I've purchased from *makeupgirl* Here's the link (if the board will let me post it????)

She's great about communication, fast shipping and fantastic prices. Right now, she has the mascara for $14.95 plus $5 shipping. (For comparison's sake, Sephora has the same item for $24.00!!!) And she has all shades available too.
Also, she frequently includes sample sizes, which are FANTASTIC to travel with, and little treats in my packages! Love her!

I got so excited, I forgot to answer half the questions you asked!!! I believe she buys wholesale from Blinc, which is how she's able to offer such low prices.
All her products are factory sealed in original packaging. I've never had a single problem with any of the transactions or products with this eBayer!

Chiming in to say THANK YOU!! I ordered the Everyday Minerals sample kit after reading about it here, and I gotta tell you, that stuff is awesome!! I am a 40 year old teenager (very oily skin, adult acne too), and I was a bit apprehensive about the level of coverage and shine control. Well, it does a wonderful job! My skin feels better already- I'm looking forward to fewer breakouts, too.
After using the samples for a weekend, I ordered the "I Can't Believe It" kit. It came super fast, and I love it all! I got the mint color corrector concealer, and it covers redness from blemishes really well. The Light Pink blush is also really good- I mix it with the Finishing Dust to reduce ruddiness (I don't know how putting on pink finishing dust can ease redness, but it WORKS!). the eye shadows are really wonderful, too- the colors are pretty, and as long as you use just a little bit at a time, it's never too heavy or chalky looking.
Thanks again for the great makeup tips- I'm looking forward to bringing my mineral makeup with me to WDW in January!!
