Each day is in a separate album.

Day 1: arrival and MK

Hi, everyone. We had a great day. Weather was beautiful albeit hot. The Contemporary is awesome. I can't believe how nice the new rooms are, and we got the MK view! We are staying Concierge on the 12th floor Atrium Club. I get emotional every time I look out the window at the Castle. After we checked in at 12:30pm (with our room completely ready for us), we headed straight to the MK. Park was pretty dead, especially for a Saturday. Saw lots of decorations up for MNSSHP and some Halloween merchandise. Went to Fantasyland. Most rides were 10 minutes max waits or walk ons. Rode Pooh, IASW, then Peter Pan (which my DS LOVED this time so we rode it twice in a row), went to the Pooh Playground, Aladdin's Carpet, refurbed Liberty Belle (it's beautiful). Got ice cream at Mrs Potts which all of it is on the Dining Plan now. Then my DSs went with DH to ride the MK Railroad and DD and I rode Big Thunder Mountain. She loved it. We tried to go on Splash Mountain, but it was the only long line we encountered so we skipped it (30 minute with Fast Pass!). We left MK, took the monorail back to the CR, got a drink for the kids and took a break. Then we ate dinner at CM. Food was good and saw all the characters at least twice. Walked around the CR afterwards and did some shopping. We watched Wishes from the balcony in our room tonight (they have the music on the TV channel 20). It was a perfect way to end the day.

Just got the kids in bed after a bath. Oh, and DS lost his FOURTH tooth tonight at WDW! So Tinker Bell just left him $10 Disney Dollars.

Tomorrow we are sleeping in since the crowds are so low and then going to MGM. We'll stay late as we have FDP at Mama Melrose and then watching Fantasmic.

I took a ton of pictures and will try to get them uploaded later tonight or tomorrow am.

Sounds like a fun 1st day. Have fun & keep us updated. Also when you have breakfast in the lounge tomorrow, can you please tell me if you feel cold air blowing. Last month when my family & I were there, I guess you can say that thier air conditioning system was blowing really cold air & I think it was part of the reason I got sick. It was so cold that my parents had opened the screen door to get some warm air on us & 1 morning my Mom even wore a sweathshirt which she had bought. We had mentioned to the Cast Members up there about it & they agreed with us about it. Hopefully when we are up there in December, it won't be so bad.

I will. The CMs up here have been great. We had a HUGE gift basket from a friend waiting in our room. They went and got my triplets extra milk, water, and juice today. We are having a great time. You cannot beat the view, and we are only 3 rooms from the end on the MK side. It's so close, you feel like you can touch it!

Also which room are you in? My family & I were in room 4840, which was a Magic Kingdom view & I agree they are best view to have, no matter what floor you get at the Contemporary.

This will be our first time without kids, we have 5. We are just like little kids about this trip we just can't wait. Have a great time!

Actually now would be a great time, since there would be no one there. So it's great not waiting for anyone to move out your way. When you take pics of the food offerings, my advice is to take the pics right away as they are putting them out, this way you won't have people in line to eat the food.

Denise - sounds like y'all are having a blast! Love the pictures too... although now I am really tempted for a stay at the CR - that view is AMAZING!!! This year I'll just have to do with the secret hike up to the 11th floor - but maybe next year we could swing a couple of nights there... hmm wonder what DH would think of that suggestion! :rotfl:

I have one question - how did the trips get on with crocs and no socks?? I tested mine out the other week and found my feet rubbed a little - might have to stick with socks for the trip...

Can't wait to read more :)

I'm so glad I found your live report--we were at WDW the same time as your family last year and since we don't have a trip planned until at least '08 I can live vicariously through your trip:) Looks fabulous so far...can't wait to see MNSSHP pictures!

Day 2: MGM

We had another great day! It was beautiful, but VERY hot. Even being from the Deep South, I was hot. Slept in late and got an early lunch/late breakfast from the Food and Fun Center in the CR. We got 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals for us all to split and had food left over. DH and I both had a burger meal and the kids got a chicken tenders and a hot dog. After eating we went to the bus stop. Only waited 2-3 minutes for the bus to MGM. It stopped at the Poly and the GF before going to MGM. Still, from the time we got on the bus to MGM was only 20 minutes.

MGM was pretty dead. There were not lines for Playhouse Disney or Little Mermaid (and no fastpasses). We saw both of these and then went to watch the parade. It was great. We were directly across from the Hat in the shade. Lots of the characters walking the parade stopped to shake hands or talk to the kids. After the parade, we walked down Mickey Avenue and visited with characters. We saw the Little Einsteins, Kim Possible and Ron, Sorcerer Mickey, JoJo and Goliath. I met Momimouse27 and her family in line. I got a picture of us together. They were so nice! Then we walked over to Streets of America. We saw the Power Rangers, Lightning McQueen and Mater, and Buzz and Woody. There was NOBODY even in line for Woody. We walked right up! After that we went and got a drink and took the kids to the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" set to play in the shade.

We had FDP ADRs at 5:20 at Mama Melrose. They were not taking any walk-ups when we got there. We were seated within 5 minutes. We asked the server if we could just do the regular menu instead of the FDP (since the park wasn't crowded). She said no problem. Ordered 2 kids meals (cheese pizza and spaghetti) for them to split. DH got the steak, and I had the Char grilled shrimp with cheese sauce and pasta. We had the cheese bread with marinara for our appetizer (ordered 2). For dessert we got the Coffee ice cream and the chocolate mouse cake. We paid OOP for the kids since we have more ADRs than credits. We'll use their child credits tomorrow at PSB for lunch.

After dinner we walked around and did some shopping. DD got the Marie stuffed animal she's been wanting. Went to Fantasmic around 7:30pm. Only the 1st 3 sections were full at that time. Sat about 1/3 way down the middle section right in front. Great seats! We loved Fantasmic.

Walked around a little afterwards and headed to the bus. Waited about 5 minutes and the CR was the first stop coming back. Came up to the lounge and got some desserts and drinks. They had tarts with fruit, little chocolate eclairs, chocolate filled mouse cups, cheesecake bars, peanut butter with choc chips in a cup, little PBJ for the kids, cordials. It was a nice way to wind down. We did have an adorable towel animal when we got back tonight too. Mousekeeping has done a very good job.

Tomorrow we head to Epcot. We have lunch with the Princesses at PSB and then dinner at Biergarten. Hopefully, the kids will be able to make it through Illuminations.

I'm going to go upload the pics from today. I took several of the lounge on the 12th floor. As far as beverages, they had Diet coke, Coke, Sprite, Gingerale, Caffeine Free Diet Coke, Lemonade in a can, and Root Beer. They also had apple juice and white milk if you ask for it. A couple from England asked for hot chocolate mix yesterday, and it was out today. Have coffee, assorted hot and cold teas.

Glad you're having such a magical vacation. Just wondering how you would compare CR to GF? Ds is fascinated by the resort - I think mainly because the monorail runs through it. Had a fun day. Standing here waiting for illuminations and eating a schoolbread from Norway. Saw every character today and the kids completed their kidcot masks and got the poster. Lunch at psb was good. Rode tt, saw turtle talk, and rode soarin.

Day 3: Epcot

New pictures are in Albums Sept 25 Epcot and some added to the CR Atrium Club album. http://s19.photobucket.com/albums/b175/DenisePersonal/

Left for Epcot around 10:30am and got there right at 11am. Rented a double stroller. The love bugs are out in full force and EVERYWHERE! they don't bite, but they sure are annoying. It was quite noticeable how absolutely dead Epcot was. The sign out front said all rides were 10 minutes or less without fastpass! Stopped at the Legacy Tile Center and got one for our DIS friend, June aka legalslave, who died of lung cancer on Sept 4 (see my signature picture). Then we went to Soarin. The standby line was less than 10 minutes. DS had an anxiety attack before the ride, so DH left with him. DD and DS and I LOVED it. It was our first time riding it, and I see why it is so popular. After Soarin', we headed to Restaurant Askershus for the PSB lunch. We ate here in December and really enjoyed it. Although the park was very quiet, the restaurants were bustling. We waited about 20 minutes for a table, so the kids went to the KidCot station and got their masks with their first charm and stamp. At lunch we saw Belle in her blue dress, Ariel in her ballgown, Cinderella, Jasmine, and Aurora. Aurora was the featured photo package today. As that is my kids favorite princess, we did buy it for $31. it's a really good picture. DS's both had cheese pizza, DD had the grilled chicken, I had the cheese soup with open salmon sandwich, and DH had grilled chicken and pasta. We enjoyed the food and the cold bar. And the desserts were yummy (rice cream with strawberries, chocolate mousse cake, and a fruit cheesecake).

After lunch, we went to the Living Seas to see Turtle Talk with Crush. The kids sat on the front row, and Crush asked Davis a question. Well, Davis got so tickled when he tried to answer that he said his name was "Dallslkjdfkajskj". Crush said DH and I must have been having fun when we named him. Said Davis reminded him of Dori. It was funny. We walked around the Living Seas. DD wanted to ride Test Track so we headed over there. We literally walked straight on in less than 2 minutes. It was our first time on it as well. We loved it.

After the rides, the kids wanted to start their masks. Started at Mexico and rode the River Ride (Rio del Tempo?). It was very cute. Worked our way around World Showcase. Got every stamp and saw TONS of characters with no lines. Mulan and Mushu, Snow White and Dopey, Belle and Beast, Genie, Aladdin and Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, Pooh and Tigger, and Alice in Wonderland. Got tons of great pictures. DS got 2 big kisses on his cheek from Aurora and Mulan. He kept showing everone because he was so proud! When we finished the Kidcot masks, they each got a really cool poster to take home.

We had ADRs at Biergarten at 6:30pm. The food was good, and I had a wonderful LARGE beer (Spaten something). Yummy! The show was wonderful and definitely the best part. The kids and I danced the entire performance. I was exhausted, but it was really fun. After dinner we walked around Germany and looked at all the shops and the miniature train. Then we found a nice spot across from Norway to watch Illuminations. I haven't seen it since 1995 on our Disneymoon, and the kids had never seen it. We got chocolate chip cookies, a sweet pretzel, and a school bread to eat during the show. We thought it was great.

ETA: all the booths are set up for the Food and Wine Festival starting on Friday.

Left Epcot after Illuminations. Got back to the CR and put everyone in bed. We are going to AK in the morning. We were going to eat breakfast at AK with Donald, but I think I'm going to cancel it and sleep in a little. After AK, we have ADRs at WCC and then may go over to Fort Wilderness to watch the campfire and movie.

Glad everyone is enjoying the live report. Thanks for all the nice comments. And I am still sick. I'm pretty sure it is Bronchitis now. But I'd rather be sick at WDW than sitting at home any day. It's not going to spoil my fun!

You can even have a doctor come to you, if you don't want to go to one of the clinics around there. The concierge can help. Day 4: AK

We slept in a little and grabbed some b'fast snacks and drinks from Concierge. We were at the bus stop by 10:30am, a little later than planned. Bus stopped at WL, then Typhoon Lagoon, then AK. We were inside the park right at 11:10am. Rented a double stroller and went straight to Festival of the Lion King. The kids LOVE this one, especially as they were picked to be in the show when we went in December. We kept reminding them that was a special thing to be chosen and it wouldn't happen today. Well, we were completely wrong! The kids were chosen again today to participate in the show. We sat in the exact same seats in the Warthog section on the floor, end of the row nearest where Pumba's float is. I'm thinking those seats are magical. So, the show was a blast again and one of my favorites. Got out of FOTLK and went directly to the Pocahontas and her Forest Friends show. The kids loved it again. Afterwards, we walked by the character greetings at Camp Minnie Mickey, but we had pictures with everyone there already. So we headed to Kilimanjaro Safari. Stand by line said it was 20 minutes at 1pm. We literally walked right on with no wait. Saw tons of animals and got really good pictures.

When we finished, we ate lunch at Tusker House. We got 2 Adult CS meals and 1 Child CS meal for the 5 of us to split. We still had food left over. We got the turkey roll up, 1/2 rotisserie chicken, and child mac-n-cheese with grapes and carrots. Had 2 chocolate cakes and carrot cake for dessert. It was very good.

After lunch we rode the train to Rafiki's Planet Watch to see Pocahontas. The lines were non-existent. Saw Pocahontas (and Rees got another kiss on the cheek), Rafiki, and Jiminy Cricket! We were very excited about finding him there. The CM said he may become a regular since Stanley is now out front during the day. On the way back, the conductor let the kids come up front and toot the whistle. They got Jr Train Conductor certificates as well. While we were on the train, it poured rain for about 10 minutes. Our strollers were soaked when we got back.

At 3:30 pm we were to meet at the Africa Gate by Kilimanjaro Safari. We were in the parade at AK! They took us behind the gate and gave us each a Jammin Jungle Parade safari jacket and safari Mickey Mouse ears. We weren't allowed to take any pictures "backstage". We were so lucky and ended up on the last jeep riding with Mickey himself! How fantastic. They took a couple of pictures of us during the parade with a disposable camera and then gave it to us to keep. Riding in the parade with Mickey was pure magic. Watching the kids reactions when they saw Mickey was priceless. After the parade they gave us each a bottled water and our family got to take a picture with Mickey since we were on his jeep.

As we were leaving the clouds started rolling in. Kids stopped to play the drums. We walked through Dinoland and rode TiceraTop Spin. We didn't get a chance to go to the Boneyard or Kali River Rapids, so we are coming back on Friday am before we go shopping in DTD.

As we were leaving AK, we literally lucked out and were first in line to see Minnie. Then the rain came down in torrents. We threw on our disposable ponchos and ran to the buses. The bus stopped at Blizzard Beach and then took us to the WL. We ate dinner at WCC, one of my favorites. Our server was very good- made it fun without going over the top too much. DH had the steak, I got the skillet, and the kids had PBJ, hamburger, and grilled cheese. I think we were all tired because nobody ate very much. We paid OOP for the kids meals and are using their credits tomorrow at CRT for lunch. DH and I got the s'mores cheesecake and chocolate cake for dessert. We are going to eat it in just a few minutes. After dinner we walked around the WL. You could see scaffolding on one the buildings outside the main pool. We took the boat back to the CR. It stopped at Fort Wilderness first. Came up to our room just in time to watch Wishes from the balcony again. What a view. I took over 40 pictures of the fireworks tonight.

Gave the kids a bath. The love bugs are out in full force, and you end up having them stuck to you at the end of the day. A nice hot shower feels great!

Tomorrow, we are getting up early to go to the EMH for the Magical Beginnings program at MK. Have lunch at CRT and dinner at Crystal Palace. Should be another great day.

All in all, today was one of my top days at WDW ever. I don't think I will forget it as long as I live. The magic is alive and thriving.

ETA: thanks to Marci for the kid's pins. Davis is ADDICTED to pin trading now. he is having the best time searching for new ones. We bought him the big Sorcerer Mickey pin today that hangs from the lanyard. You've created a monster!

My dd saw someone with those on when we were there, and we searched everywhere for them. They said that they were out-of-stock at the warehouse. She hasn't done it again, so we're going to try to go to MK. She does this when she gets a migraine- vomits once and is done. She doesn't have a fever. Have a good day everyone! We have lunch at CRT at 1pm and dinner at CP at 6:30pm.

Lots of PD to BK and to the rest of the Figs! Have a great day!

Dumbo is less than 20 minutes. Snow white was 5 min. Park is more crowded , but rides in fantasyland seem good. New show dream along with Mickey is listed for today. We will go see it later. Dd seems better. Saw Mary poppins riding the carousel.

Let me know how the show Dream w/ Mickey is. I am looking forward to seeing that one. I am glad that BK is feeling better. Alex was sick twice on the cruise in April. I think it was just the excitement of the trip. I am hoping the same for BK.

The coffee makers in the room are flat bottom 4 cup drip. There are flat screen TVs and computers in the rooms on the 14th floor. Yes, we used TGM for this trip. Hope that answers all the questions so far that I've missed!
Thanks so much for the coffee answer. I did a search and read they were the cone shaped ones, so I am glad you were able to give me a clear answer.

I hope your dd makes it through the day okay. You guys are having such an awesome sounding trip. Thanks so much for sharing all the pictures and taking the time to answer so many questions during your vacation. Hope you are having a great day today! :wizard:

I hope that your meals at CRT and CP are magical! We had great meals at both on dd's 13th birthday.

Day 5: MK

We were supposed to get up early today to go to the EMH for the Magical Beginnings, but DD vomited in bed from a migraine. We slept until 9:30 and were in the MK by 11am. The park seemed very busy, and I was a little worried. But when we got to Fantasyland, all the rides were either walk-ons or minimal wait times (10-20 minutes in standby lines). Mary Poppins was riding the carousel and doing pictures by it. Rode Dumbo, Indy Speedway, Buzz Light Year (me, DD, and DS), Pooh (DS and DH), then all of us Pooh again, Tea Cups, Carousel, Small World, and Peter Pan in 2 hours time. It was great! Dumbo took maybe 5-10 minutes, Peter Pan was 10, Indy 10, and the rest were all walk-ons.

Had CRT lunch at the castle at 1:30pm. Cinderella was downstairs for the photo package (which is included in the price). Since we are a family of 5, we got 2 sets of pictures. DD posed by herself (she wore her yellow Belle ball gown), and then we got one with all the kids. They announce our Royal family, and we went upstairs. Belle (in blue), Jasmine, Snow White, and Alice in Wonderland were there. We had a wonderful table on the top row, but right by the windows looking out at the Carousel. The characters had great interaction, especially Alice who really took a long time to talk to the kids. They did the special wishing ceremony and all the kids got either a magic wand or a sword. They also gave each child a wishing star. The kids had cheese, grapes, carrots/celery with dip for an appetizer. The adults get a yummy bacon salad, spicy ham and turkey, cheese, and a grilled chicken with a green pesto sauce. Yummy! For our lunch, DH and I each got the Major Domos Pie which was very good. The kids had the mini hot dogs which come in pretzel bread buns and chicken tenders. It was a ton of food. For dessert, the kids got ice cream with Mickey sprinkles and a chocolate crown. DH and I had the blueberry buckle with lemon ice cream. It was a fun lunch. It's expensive, but eating in the Castle is magical. As long as the kids love it, we will continue to go.

After lunch, it was time for the new parade. We got great seats right on the circle in front of the Castle. The parade was wonderful! Lots of good characters. We saw Rafiki, and it was the SAME Rafiki from the AK parade yesterday. He came all the way across the parade route to make sure to wave at us and let me know he was the same one. Very cool! After the parade, we went to see Mickey's Philharmagic. They had the fast pass machines covered and you literally walked right into the theater. We all LOVE this show. We will go again on Friday. Then we went to the live stage performance behind the castle next to Mickey's Philharmagic. After the show, Aurora and Prince Philip pose for photos. I was so excited. DS was Prince Philip for Halloween last year. It was a great find for us. DD wanted to take her Belle gown off before riding any more rides, so we went and changed her clothes.

We headed to Adventureland next. Walked right on Aladdin's Carpets and then went to POC. There was NO line, with a 5 minute wait posted. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee were across from POC, so we met them first. I snapped my arms like a crocodile and kept saying "tick-tock". Captain Hook ran around all scared, and the kids thought it was hilarious. Then DD, DS Davis, and I went to ride POC while DH took DS Rees back to ride Aladdin. Well, POC sound completely broke while we were on the boats. It was really weird riding through it silent. They closed it after our boat finished, and we said we'd come back later. Went and rode the Jungle Cruise and then we were going to go ride Splash Mountain. As we walked by POC, it opened back up. So the kids and I ran in and walked right on again. This time the sound was working. We loved it, and I thought the new additions with Captain Jack Sparrow were great!

Then we headed to ride Splash Mountain. Davis had loved POC so much, that I figured he was fine for SM. DD, DS, and I got to sit in the front of the boat. It was fantastic. I haven't ridden it since I was a teenager. The kids said it and POC were their favorite rides now. Yes! Finally I have someone to go with me! DH took Rees on the train around the park. When they were done, we went to Crystal Palace for our 6:30pm ADR. We waited about 5 minutes. We saw Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet. Food was good. My kids still adore Pooh and the gang, so this is a must do for us.

Wishes was at 8pm tonight. We were finishing dinner just before then, so they let us stand right at the entrance to CP on the steps to watch the fireworks. We had a fantastic view. It was so fun being right there in front of the Castle and comparing how it looks from the balcony of the CR. After Wishes, we stayed in the park for a while, went shopping, and took lots of pictures with it fairly empty.

Rode the monorail back to the CR and went to the beach/pool area. We had a great view of the Electrical Water Pageant as it came by the CR (10:05pm). After the EWP, we came upstairs and got the kids in bed. We are supposed to eat b'fast tomorrow at 'Ohana with Lilo and Stitch. I'm not sure if we'll keep it or cancel. We are really enjoying sleeping in and still getting plenty of time to see everything in the parks. The crowds have been wonderful. After b'fast, we are going back to MGM to see lots of the shows: Lights Motor Action, Beauty and the Beast, Indiana Jones, etc.

I'm off to upload the pictures.

Hi, everyone! Sorry for no pics or trip report last night. We were exhausted after another great day at MGM. We got to ride in the front of the monorail. Rees' wish came true. Met the CM that arranged our AK parade at MGM. She is friends with several face characters and such a sweetie. We saw Lights, Motor, Action; Indiana Jones, Beauty and the Beast shows. Met the Incredibles and Sully from Monsters Inc. Ate lunch at 50's Prime Time. Jen and I rode Tower of Terror and RnR together. They are awesome! First time for me on RnR and had only ridden TOT in '95. As we were leaving got to meet another CM friend of hers who is also friends with several face characters. The CMs at WDW are just so nice!!!!!!!!

Came back to the CR and got dinner at the Food and Fun Center again. Then the kids played in the arcade for an hour or so.

We slept in late today and are headed to AK for the kids to play in the Boneyard. BK and I are going to ride Everest. We'll grab quick lunch there too. Then back to the CR to change into our costumes. We're going as Tink, Peter Pan, Captain Hook (kids), Wendy (me), and John Darling (DH). We're supposed to meet our friends at the party tonight. They moved to FL last year.

I'll try to post updates on the BB about the party. Have a good day~!

Day 6: MGM

I will get the last 3 days pictures up tonight.

Slept late again (loving these crowds so we don't have to get up early!) and decided to try our luck at riding in the front of the monorail. Went downstairs in the CR and told the CM we'd like to try to ride. We only had to wait for the next train and we got on! John stayed behind since only 4 can ride. We got to go all the way around Seven Seas Lagoon. The view was incredible. Rees was so happy since the monorail is his favorite. The boys had on their monorail shirts, so it was perfect. The driver gave them Jr. Monorail Pilot licenses, monorail stickers, and a COMPLETE set of monorail cards. They are so cool!

After we finished the ride, we took the bus to MGM. Crowds were low again. We went straight to Indiana Jones (no fastpass machines) and then the Lights Motor Action shows. They were great again. After the show we ate a late lunch at 50's Prime Time. John and I split a meal, and the kids split 2 meals. It was still too much food. Then the CM who arranged our AK parade met us. She is AWESOME! We couldn't walk in front of the Hat today at Univision TV was filming a mariachi band competition. We all went to see the Incredibles and Sully at the Monster's Inc Door. Then we went to see the Beauty and the Beast show. We all got Mickey bars afterwards. DH took the kids to the Villains store while I rode Tower of Terror and RnR! WOW! They were really fun. Then we met one of her CM friends on the way out of the park.
We came back to the CR and went out back to watch the Electrical Water Pageant. You have a great view from the pier or quiet pool out back. We grabbed some snacks and headed back up to the room.

We had another great day!

Day 7: AK and MNSSHP

We wanted to have an easy morning and afternoon today since we knew we'd be up late. Kids voted to go back to AK to play in the Boneyard and DD wanted to ride EE. Took the bus to AK and got there around 1pm. Crowds were light again. Went to the Boneyard and got picked to do a scavenger hunt. We had to count teeth, footprints, find hidden Mickeys, etc. When we were done, the kids got a WDW certificate that declared them Jr. Paleontologist and each got a Dinosaur toy. It was really fun. After an hour or so, DD and I headed to EE to ride. Someone told us that it had been down for 2-3 hours that morning. The wait was only 10 minutes or so. DD and I both loved EE. That is a thrilling ride and FUN~!

Went back to get DH and the boys. Went to eat lunch at the McDonalds Restarauntasaurous. Then we went to catch the bus back to the CR to change clothes for MNSSHP.

Went to the MK at 4:30pm and had no problems walking right in. Got our bracelets for the party and our trick or treat bags. Got our picture taken in front of the Castle in our costumes and then walked to the back of the park for our 5:15pm ADR at LTT. Waited about 5 minutes. Met brendita (DISer) and her son Ramiro at LTT. Dinner was good, but none of us were very hungry. At first, Minnie, Pluto, Chip/Dale, and Goofy were in their regular outfits. The 2nd time they came around they were all wearing their Halloween masks. We got 2 sets of pictures.

After dinner, we walked out and saw they were putting out the MNSSHP shirts. I bought some, and then we met our friends who had moved to FL last year. It was their DDs 6th b'day. We went straight to Splash Mtn and walked right on. Then we headed to Fantasyland to ride Peter Pan. Crowds were definitely thicker now. Waited about 10 minutes. Went to Pooh next, but it was shut down. Headed to Toontown, but the crowds were literally wall to wall. Heard the party was sold out. I was quite surprised how crowded it was and that it did sell out. The line for face painting was huge. Our friends went on the Barnstormer. We decided to go to the Indy cars again. Waited about 15 minutes. Then we all met up and went to the Tea Cups and Pooh. The rides were ok for wait times, but the crowds were MASSIVE. Wall to wall, couldn't walk or move. We literally got stuck in Fantasyland for the fireworks. Found a good spot behind the carousel for the kids to sit on the wall. Hallowishes was quite impressive. We loved them. Then we snaked our way to Frontierland to see the parade. Sat right in front of Liberty Belle. It was 5 people thick for the parade. The headless horseman rode, and the parade was wonderful. Loved the Boo To You music.

After the parade we went to the Castle for the Villains show. It was worth waiting for. The characters all came down for a meet and greet after the show. Got pictures with Maleficent (Rees' fave villain!), Frollo, the Snow Queen, Cruella deVille, Jafar, and the Queen of Hearts. It was thrilling to meet them up close. Rees was a little scared of Maleficent at first. She reached out and whispered, "I mean you no ill will, my pet" in a perfect voice. Fantastic!

Then we headed back to Toontown to trick or treat. Walked down the Alice Tea Party path and got tons of candy. Walked back down main street to the train station. at 12:30am, the MK was still wall to wall people. I took pictures, and then we headed to the monorail. The CMs were literally giving out handfuls of candy out front.

Came back to the CR, took a shower, and got in bed around 3am after packing. We arranged for a late check out, so we didn't have to check out until 1pm.

Day 8: MK and departure

Got up around 11am and finished packing. Called Bell Services and they came right up and took the luggage to store for us. We had lunch ADRs at Chef Mickey for 12:40pm. Checked in and were seated in about 10 minutes. The food was the same as dinner. Saw Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Chip and Dale.

After lunch, we rode the monorail to the MK. Something must have been wrong on the monorail line because we kept stopping and it took 40 minutes. Got to the MK and it was PACKED again. We headed straight to Fantasyland. Kids had voted to ride Peter Pan, IASW, and Pooh. Lines were very long, but we had fast passes left over and used them without a problem. Waited about 15 minutes with FP for Peter Pan. IASW was around 20 minutes, and Pooh was 20 with FP. I was so glad we were leaving today and not battling those crowds. On the way out of MK we stopped at the Confectionary and used our remaining snack credits. Anything under $4 was included. DH literally ran the pathway back to the CR to get our luggage ready for the ME bus. Kids and I took the monorail and met him there. We walked right on the ME bus as soon as we got to the CR. Stopped at the Poly before heading to the airport. Checked in at curbside for AirTran and went through security without any problems. Our flight was on-time, and we got to our house around 9pm last night.

We had a fabulous trip and can't wait to go back next year. We all loved the CR. The Tower view is amazing, and I can't imagine staying anywhere else now. We had amazing Pixie Dust during our vacation and will remember it forever.

Hope you all enjoyed the pictures and reading along!

Love your trip report, Denise. Sounds like we followed you guys around for a couple of days last week. We even had a 5:20 ADR at MM the same night as you. It was a great week, weather wise and crowd wise. Sounds like our MNSSHP experiences were similar as well. Love your pictures. Thanks for posting.
Would have loved to have met you. The food was yummy. I was shocked how crowded MNSSHP was. It was hard to move!

I really enjoyed the live report, thanks again for posting it! I hope you have a safe trip home! Now that you have stayed at all the monorail resorts, which did you like best? Which resort will you be trying for Christmas? I can't wait to read the last 3 days! :bounce:

I think overall our fave is the CR Tower. We are debating the GF or CR for Christmas. The GF was just so magical at that time of year all decorated. Oh, the agony of our decision!;)

I know that you went last year at Christmas time. Which time period (September or December) do you like better?

Thanks,
Kari

They were both wonderful. Sept with low crowds is AWESOME, and it was so much easier to pack for warm weather! But Christmas is just so pretty. I think we will just alternate each year.

Denise,
I just stumbled across your live report! We were in room 4845 on Monday night and I met you out on the balcony taking pictures. I wish I had known you were a fellow Diser and TGMer! We were staying in the north Garden Wing and my DH upgraded for our last night there. That view is so fantastic, it is worth the extra $$$. I'm glad you've had a great trip, we did too. :Pinkbounc
Susan
Susan, that is so funny. I totally remember meeting you. Thanks for moving out of the way so I could get that monorail shot!

Hope you had a great trip too.

No, I looked everywhere and even showed the CMs at the Emporium the pictures. No shirt like that. When did you buy yours?

Hello Triplefigs just wanted to say Hi and it was nice to meet you. You stopped my husband and me in the lobby of CR by the elevators. Thanks for introducing yourself and your family. We were so excited to be checking in, you must have seen our dazed looks. Hope you had a great time, we did. We stayed in room 4847. Hi, Denise. We just got back late last night. Good to meet you at LTT during MNSSHP! I haven't downloaded the pics yet, but will be sure to post pics of our t-shirts when I have the chance. I got so many questions and comments.
Haven't had time to read the whole report or see your pics yet, but what I read sounds great. You guys all looked great that night, BTW.

What an awesome trip, a great trip report and some fantastic memories you will have to get you thru to the next one! It sounds like it couldn't have been more magical, how great for you guys!

I have to ask, is your DD's name a family name? It is unusual, there is a boy named Brantley in my DS' school & I always thought it was very neat!

Denise, I remember you from the GF thread, we just got back from GF RPC w/ our twins, it was nice but decidedly not worth it, DH decided on CR for next Dec...thanks so much for the report! but.......

I cant see the pictures, what am I doing wrong? I click & it requires a log in? Thanks, I would really love to see the pics if someone can help me figure out how to :confused3 :teeth: DH booked MK Tower room.....I believe he didnt have the option of a floor request? Is the concierge level worth it there? Thanks!

I liked concierge at the CR, but it is definitely geared towards adults. We are going back next year and just staying MK View. We've requested the 11th floor. I don't think any of the floors would give a bad view. Try the pictures again. I think I accidentally locked them last night.

Thank you! My girls & I have been enjoying them! LOVE the costumes, we did MNSSHP on 10/6 & the crowds were very light, early on most rides were walk on. We love the villian photos, we must have missed the villian meet & greet, your photos are so great! If we make it back again around Halloween we will have to re-do the MNSSHP & villian photos!

DH booked for 12/07 Tower Room MK View, Im not sure at all where that is, but he's happy w/ the choice, I guess he could request a floor# too?

Thanks for the photos, your family is beautiful & looks like you had an amazingly magical trip, & great room! :wizard:
