This is more of an "odd shot", than a funny one. My husband accidentally snapped this with the camera while we were riding TTA. We really laughed when we got home and downloaded the pictures. It is his knee, and my feet, but it almost looks like they are connected.

Not funny, but pretty darn cool. We were at Space Mountain in line on Thursday and they had to turn the lights on due to a ride malfunction.

I read today that ANY hand gestures made them disappear.

YES! I stood in line and debated over whether or not to buy the pic and then just asked the CM if I could take a pic of the screen and she said, "SURE!" So I did that a bunch of times!

I'm just curious where you read this. That is clearly not a middle finger.

1) Not true - as long as they are not "rude" hand gestures, they are fine - we have several pics with others making the "metal" gesture and such and that doesn't bother me as long as they aren't obstructing the view of OUR family in the shot!:rotfl:

2) It certainly looks like Pointer fingers to me (and the rest of us reading this thread, apparently) ;)

Look at those teeth! They look so real! Disney a pretty good job with the Yeti.

How in the world did you snap that picture? I haven't been on the ride yet, but I watched it on YouTube to get an idea on what it was like. I never saw the Yeti. I was able to see it's shadow, but that's it.

The ride does not look too bad. Though the steep incline looks a little scary!:scared1: Yikes!

Thank you! The best suggestion I can give you for taking pictures on dark rides - is get a very fast lens. I use the Sigma 30mm F1.4 listed in my signature on the dark rides... hike the ISO all the way up to 1600. You'll get some noise, but on most of these rides it's the only way you're going to get the camera to get enough light quickly. Also, when focusing (the hardest part on dark rides IMO) try to focus on something that has high contrast - otherwise your camera will just "seek" and you won't even get the shot off. One other thing - turn the AF assist light off, I've found that it can be just as bad as a flash as far as lighting something up just enough to ruin the intended dark ride effect...

Look in my signature and you'll find a link to the camera and lenses I'm using... most of the ride ones are with the Sigma 30mm f1.4. The Nikon D40 is about as basic and cheap a dSLR on the market. It's simple enough in auto mode that even the most beginner users shouldn't have any problems. I believe there are two major factors in getting decent pictures on rides, especially dark rides. A dSLR is a must, simply for the fact that you can take ISO1600 - up to ISO6400 with managable noise levels, whereas most point and shoots are only good up to about ISO400. Another is the ability to utilize a faster lens. Like the Sigma 30mm f1.4... thanks for the compliment, I appreciate it! :)

Please don't mind the 'dopey' expression my DD had in some of these pics. She had just gotten over a stomach bug when we went to WDW, and the Pooh ride made her throw up so I gave her a children's anti nausea medication and it made her very sleepy and dopey....but at least she felt much better!

TY! I am sorry to hear that your DS is suffering with motion sickness...Have you tried Ginger? It is supposed to work really well. What we used was Children's Gravol, from what I hear you can only get it up here in Canada, but it works great!

How did you take this picture? We have tried, but it never comes out correctly. Great shot!
I took 4 pictures of that score, some with flash, some without, just to make sure I got the pic. Two of the four came out a little blurry. I had a camera with a good low-light lens and I turned off the flash on this particular one.

Not funny, but pretty darn cool. We were at Space Mountain in line on Thursday and they had to turn the lights on due to a ride malfunction.
