I've read that the kitchens come stocked at Cypress Pointe Resort Villas. I was just wondering what they come stocked with. We are renting one in just a few weeks and would like to know ahead of time what we need to purchase and what may already be there. TIA :sunny:

Here is a link (http://cypresspointe.net/inventory.html) to exactly what each unit has when you check in.

The units do have most of the basic cooking utensils..but no food! You will need to get your condiments etc. along with anything you plan to cook

We were just there in August and the kitchens had all of the basic cooking stuff. While I don't make major meals, I do do alot of basic cooking (pasta, eggs, pancakes, chicken) and we always make brownies and it had everything we needed.

As for food, Winn Dixie is right there and has great prices. We even went to the Winn Dixie website before we went down (thanks to my Dis friends) and signed up for their shoppers card. It came before we went. During this past trip I ended up with 2 $10 off $40 purchase coupons. They came in handy.

We enjoyed the resort.

Thank you for the information. It was exactly what I needed to know. We are going to be there 10 nights. I'm so excited. Originally we were going to be staying on site at New Orleans Riverside and decided that we really wanted more space. I'm sure we have made the right choice. :Pinkbounc

We stayed at Cypress Pointe last year and the kitchen comes well stocked. BUT!!! If we stay there again (and we might this Jan.) I will bring my oven thermometer with me and test the oven temp when we arrive. It turns out our oven didn't heat adequately. I discovered this when it took more than half an hour to cook a frozen pizza and I had to crank it up to 500 degrees on the knob to get it to cook! If I had known there was a problem at the beginning of the trip I'm sure they could have fixed it quickly. There was a problem with the washer (no cold water) and they fixed it promptly.

Hi All

We just got back from the Cypress Point Villas, we loved the place.

We went to WinDixe next door. With our full kitchen we were able to cooked some dinners, & made sandwiches for the parks. We were able to freeze lemonade in our water bottles & was able to bring them to the parks, & it was refreshing all day.

The stove in the CPV was low in temp, I also, had to cook our chicken roaster on 500 degrees also. No big deal.

It was so a great place very beautiful. Loved the Jacuzzi tub in the Master, washer & dryer & huge TV. We also took advantage of a lot of the activities that was going on. It was so clean.

Wouldn't hesitate going back there or recommend it to anyone.

Hope this helps.
