I would like to set my goal weight at my meeting tomorrow morning - my question is does it have to be within the guidelines in the handouts from WW for your age & height?

I am 5'6 so I should weigh no more than 155 I believe it is - although from past experience I have had a hard time maintaining anything under 160 - I would love to be 148 - 150 pounds actually - I just don't know if I can maintain it.

Any advice? :confused3

I think if your doctor gives you a written goal- they honor that. I'm not SURE though.

I am 5'5" and my goal according to WW should be 144-150. For me this is not reasonable, so in talking to my leader she said if my doctor agreed with me and was willing to give me a note than WW would honor that as my lifetime goal. Without the note the only way for me to make lifetime is to get to 150 and stay within 2 pounds of that goal for life. I am realistic enough to know I could probably get to 150, but I can't maintain it. So when I go for my annual appointment in November I am going to talk with my doctor to see if she would agree that 160 is where I should be and by then I should be close.

Thanks for the input - I will talk with my doctor. My leader also told me the same today that they will honor a note from my doctor.

I got a doctor's note 2 months ago. I was stuck at 150-155 for a year! WW wanted me around 140. My new doctor thought my BMI was still healthy and wrote a note for me that 155 was a healthy weight for me.
