there are so many dancers on the dis, so i thought i'd start a thread for all of us. are you trying out for a ballet company? what's your favorite dance song you ever did? what do you do about blisters from pointe shoes??????? talk about it here!!!!!

anyways, i'm trying out for my county's ballet theater (coincidentally run by my studio). agewise, i belong in the jr. company, but they want me to try out with the sr. company................. chewing my nails off bc i know that i'm not good enough for the sr. company, but i'm too tall for the jr. company.....

Hula, Jazz, and I am beginning ballet. I might audition to an arts high school with dance, visual arts (painting, drawing etc) or singing. But it's difficult to get in. My friend Madison and Nicole are trying out too, Madisons sister actually goes to that school! Which genres of dance do you take?

I take Tap Jazz and Ballet! I'm trying out for my dance team at school and am also going on point next yr!

i do tap, ballet, jazz, pointe, and lyrical. i used to do hip-hop, so i understand the whole dancing to rap thing.

i have a strict russian ballet teacher. it's a very hard class, and she is likely to yell....................... have any of you made any REALLY good friends at dance, or participate in a version of the nutcracker????? don't think i mentioned it, but that's what i'm trying out for tomorrow (the ballet theater)............................. oh, and you know how you get smilies when you im????? well, i have smilies, and i also have these ballet shoes with faces.......................

ok it is more like a gang of ppl who dance to songs at my church and yes it is rap and stuff like that not so much rock

umm............... i started ballet and tap when i was 3...................... jazz probably when i was 5, pointe last year, and lyrical this year.

go for it!!!!! i have my nutcracker this audition and am freaking out!!!! like i figured out i take 4 ballet classes and 3 pointe classes a week, and yet i'm really nervous!!!!!!!!
