....what's been keeping you away from The DIS lately? ;)

For me, it's been trying to keep this house cleaned up and picked up long enough for our relatives to come by and see us on Thanksgiving...then all I have to do is get myself on that plane and I'm outta here!!! I don't care how messy it gets while I'm gone because I'm pretty sure I've scared DH into picking it up BEFORE I return....plus, I've hired someone to clean it right before I get home! :bounce:

But for now...it's up to me.

12 hr shifts...that's what's been keeping me away from the DIS! And I've been doing alot of reading lately. It feels so good to read for pleasure.
Oh and DH just graduated from the Police Academy on Friday! He got the Academic Award for his class and Physical Fitness Award for his class!! I'm so proud of him! So we were at the academy graduation on Friday, party Friday night, and then recovered Saturday!
I can't believe that DIS CON is in 15 days! I've been looking forward to this trip so much! And I can't wait to see you all there!:bounce:

Congratulations to your DH Kim!!!

I actually haven't felt much like DISing lately. It was just one of those times that I needed to step back and get a little bit of perspective in my life. I am glad to say that as of today I feel like DISing again.

I must admit though that I am having second thoughts about DISCON....I guess I am getting cold feet about flying and meeting so many people.

Congratulations to your husband, Kim! That's really impressive! :)
As far what's keeping me away, it's kind of everything and nothing, all at the same time. It's the ho-hum, every day things that seem to have added up lately. It's laundry, bookkeeping, Christmas decorating, Christmas shopping, and errands, errands, errands. The community service group that I belong to just held a comedy night last Friday. Helping to plan that was taking up some of my time, too. Fortunately, it was a huge success and we raised about $3000 for this man who is confined to a wheel chair. It went so well we're thinking of making it an annual event. :) Now, I'm just trying to get everything ready before I leave. We'll see! ;) :D

Well, work seems to be distracting me lately. As well as getting the music ready for my niece's wedding on the 23rd. And trying to figure out why my CD burner isn't working properly. But you can usually find me here. But I'll definitely be out of pocket Thanksgiving Day and the day after.

Shannon, do you need a little 'pep talk'? ;) How about 'it's so close, you just CAN'T cancel now!!!' And besides if you do, you'll be missing a great party~~~and it's at WDW!!! :bounce:

Barb, Lisa, Steve....I hear ya! :D Grrrr....this whole 'life outside The DIS' thing....it can really get in the way, can't it? ;) :D

And Tammy, dear, dear Tammy. Truth be known...nothing is keeping you from The DIS, is it? :smooth: Well I'm glad someone is here ALL the time! ;) :D :) :p

I live here. Are you happy? :D You forced me to admit it. I usually have the DIS on in the background when I am attached to the computer doing my thing (what ever that is)

Those eight days at WDW are going to kill me DIS withdrawal at its finest will show through. But I will suffer along just to be with you guys at the DIS-CON. Now only if they would cash my check and let me know for sure that I am registered.

Somebody else will have to hold the fort down. And don't eat all the corn while I am gone. Save some for me.:)

Thanks for the pep talk Tia. :) It's just what I needed. I know that we won't cancel but I just wish all these butterflies would go away!

I look forward to meeting you all at breakfast on the 29th! (we don't arrive until late on the 28th).

Oh Bother!

Work is keeping me away from the boards. I am currently writing a cover story on banquets catering to my magazine and doing lots of other tasks in between interviews. Also my kids are doing finals. My eldest is undergoing exams to get into a mainstream school (he's got ADD with hiperactivity), after years in a special school. I have to settle all my affairs and produce a list of things to do for my ex, who will be taking care of the kids while I am gone. I will be back in time to take Isabel to visit her new school, where she will start going in March. Meanwhile, I still have to finish some research on Mozart's love letter for a classical music series that happens on our opera house and do three storytelling perfomances on next weekend and saturday just before the trip.

Hey, it seems a lot. But it is really sooooooooo cloooooooooose!!!!

Tia,

MJ is on television tonight, Garth is on television tomorrow night.

Don't know MJ, but have known Garth for years.

Oooooooh, Steve, Garth Brooks, how cool!! :D :D
But, does anyone really KNOW MJ?!?!?!?!?! He's an enigma of sorts, isn't it?
And, from now on, there is no talk of cancelling allowed! We're down to the wire here and we need all of us to be there! We've come this far, there's no turning back now!!! :D :D :D
