When you go down the flume is it hard on the neck and back? I'm wondering if the landing is kind of a smooth one, or do you feel an impact? On the three smaller dips, will it hurt a problem back or neck? Thanks!!!!

I have a bad back (2 surgeries), and I've ridden Splash Mountain many times. I don't recall it being too hard a landing.

When you hit the bottom, you put up a big spray of water so it looks like you land harder than you do. I think the ride actually has sprays of water timed to spray up as you land to add to the effect of the water spray.

I have neck problems (surgery Oct. 3rd) but have never considered Splash to be a problem. The only thing that gets me is all the water!!

They do have a warning sign though that anyone with back, neck, heart problems should not ride. Just an FYI. I would think it's up to each guest's judgement as to how severe their own problem is- sounds like most people have not been uncomfortable on SM.---Kathy
