Hello,

I have noticed that I will be at WLV during the time that the Annual Meeting will be held. For those of you who have attended before, is it worthwhile to attend the Annual Meetings? How long do they usually last? Is there any useful information that is given out, or is it just a 'show'?

Any other information about these meetings would be helpful...

Just adding a plug asking anyone who does attend any of the meetings to try and give at least a quick recap here on the DIS! It would be very much appreciated.

The meeting (usually held at BWV conv center- for any of the DVC resorts) lasts about an hour. They will have some refreshments and usually give a small DVC token to those in attendance.

There is a very brief scripted board meeting, followed immediately by the public meeting- where members may ask questions. It is a friendly atmosphere and very informative about upcoming plans. No deep secrets will be revealed, but you can get some answers to any concerns you may have.

IMO, well worth attending. You can register when you arrive- over the phone- or do it in advance. The group is usually not too large- last year the BWV meeting had about 125 in attendance. You are also welcome to attend if it is not your home resort. Each meeting is open to all members.

I will be there at the same time as the OKW meeting. I own at BWV. Can I still go to the OKW meeting or do they require that you own at the particular resort?
Just curious...

As mentioned in the post above, any DVC member may attend any/all of the DVC annual meetings- regardless of home resort.

If you will be there at the time of any meeting, plan to attend. The experience is worthwhile.
