i am not talking about a princess gown if they made them big enough i would be wearing tem myself! :rotfl:

My son has captain hook from halloween last year and he has buzz light year for this year. MH suggested we take them so he could wear the hook one to the pirate cruise and buzz if he felt like it

i don't know if it a good idea, what are your thoughts? :confused3

What are your concerns for not wanting him to wear it?

I think kids in costume at the park are cute, but I always wonder how long that costume is actually going to be comfortable for them!

I don't think it would hurt anything, especially dressing up for the pirate cruise. But the Buzz outfit might be a bit cumbersome in the parks. Perhaps just a piece of it?

I know that adults cannot wear costumes in the park on regular days, and in fact will be turned away at the gate unless it's MNSSHP. But I don't know what the age limit for this is - I frequently see kids in princess gowns and the like.

mainly that he will be uncomfortable with buzz, i am not so concerned with the hook outfit, but i will be lugging around the thing when he gets tired of wearing it. .I should also say we are going in January

It's really your choice. You know your son better than we do. I let my dd's wear princess gowns in the park with comfy shoes... They enjoyed it. :)

Gotta say it always puts a smile on mine and my DD9 face to see a little one all decked out in costume!! :teeth: DD9 has never asked(luckily) so don't know from personal experience, but have seen lotsa kids "dress up"-- although I haven't seen too many boys. Also, see alot of the costumes in strollers by late afternoon, some parents put them over the kids regular clothes.
How else do you get your monies worth outta those $40 or so costumes and accesories??? :)

If a girl can wear her princess dress all the time so can you son. Ha Ha sounds funny I mean he doesn't have to wear a dress but let him werea what he wants.

I know this is just me, but I let my 3-year-old wear costumes and princess dresses whenever she wants. This includes to the movies, the mall, the grocery store, or in the yard to play. They are only little once, and I see nothing wrong with letting them play dress up and grow their imaginations. Let your little guy wear whatever he wants. It's Disney after all!

I made my ds (4) a Prince Charming outfit and a Mickey Mouse outift for our last trip. He also had a pirate Mickey outift. He wore them and would have worn that Prince Charming outift every day if we let him!!! - We would have but it was dirty after one wear. I think you should let him wear the costumes. He is only going to be young once. I too let my kids go out in whatever costume they feel like. I have gone shopping with Batman on many occassions! :rotfl:

I would, just take an extra outfit in case he gets tired of it or too hot.

Last year we saw lots of children in costumes. Peter Pan, Capt. Hook, a prince, and all the different princess outfits. Let them go for it! :thumbsup2

Oh yes! My dd wore her cotumes for our entire trip this past August. In fact she asked why I had even brought regular clothes for her! LOL! It does sound like my dd is a rare one since she stays in her outfit all day long.

It is fun for the kids to dress up because they get extra attention in my opinion from all the characters especially the ones they are dressed ***.

So go for it!

Let him go for it. I bet you get great character interaction with him in costume!

My vote is let him wear it. If he gets tired of it let him change, but in the meanwhile you will have a lot of great pictures!! :cheer2:

My daughter used to dress in full princess garb for a trip to the grocery store, so why not let them dress up at the park. There are lockers in the park to store things if they get too hot and want to change. Disney is all about fun so go for it and make the most of your trip :thumbsup2

Definitely, as long as you have extra clothes in case they're needed. And if you don't have a stroller and done want to carry them, you can get a locker at the front of the park.

Definitely let him wear it. You will have great pictures but more importantly your child will be happy. Bring an extra large ziploc bag and just put the costume in it when he gets tired of it. If you get all the air out it will easily fit in your backpack.
