Thanks. I'm glad I posted here before even thinking of ordering.

and with a free DVD player included with every offer too!!! I think for that price they are just selling you a silver rebel, no batteries, cables, software, anything, the box might even be an add on :rotfl2:

Conveniently it doesn't say anywhere what is included in the box (If, as mhutchinson said, the box is included). You may laugh, but many places like this sell at this price for "body only". Nothing else, not even the user manual. I ran into a bunch of these places when I was shopping around for my D50. I called a few of them and they were VERY rude. When I asked what the price included the would just say, "just the body". When I asked about the battery and stuff, they just said "thats extra" and then would hang up. HOW RUUDE

i am so tired of seeing people potentially getting ripped off by these less than reputable ripoff joints. please stay far far away....

did you happen to notice that NOWHERE on the website is their physical address? not in the contact us, not in the customer service, nowhere. what does that tell you? my guess is that it is one of the infamous brooklyn storefronts famous for bait and switch.

order from bhphotovideo.com and spend a little more but they are outstanding and give wonderful customer service. i order from there all the time and have NEVER had a problem with them.

Did anyone else notice that they were selling a battery for $199 and a charger for $299? Last time I bought a battery I spent about $20. That's quite a markup!!

exactly what I am thinking! If you make a big purchase like a Rebel, I would buy from a known dealer. Most of these cheap places won't give you any kind of warranty, so what if your camera arrives and it's broken and won't work? Canon won't replace it for you without a warranty. So you are out the money and have to go elsewhere to spend even more!
