How many use DVC for NASCAR racing @ Daytona?

One of the main reasons we are buying into DVC is that we can go to Daytona during a WDW trip. I know it isn't right next door, but is a lot closer than Indiana. How many of you DVCers use your points for a stay during race time, so you can attend the race? Do you have any pointers, shortcuts, etc? We are going to the Bud Shoot Out and the ARCA race in Feb 2002.

We have not done it yet, but we are seriously thinking about it in Feb.

I really want to see Little 'E' race the #3 :) in the Busch.

We might someday! We did once visit the track on the way to WDW....since we drive it works out well.

We didn't go to Daytona, but one year we took a trip to Gainesville to see the Gatornationals. A little further than Daytona, but worth the trip.

We did the IROC, Busch & 500 last year while stayin @ BWV. It was very convenient. Rented a car @ the Dolphin. It took about an hour to get to the track from the villas. It was very simple - just follow the interstate. We were impressed with the people-moving skills of the staff @ the track. We always thought Disney was good, but these are the masters! Buy a good map for heading home on Sunday after the race - that was really the worst. We took all local roads back to Orlando - (some of which paralleled the interstate that was backed up for miles!) and even found places in Orlando you would NEVER want to see! But it makes great stories! You'll have a great time.
