Okay this is my first report. I know already I'm gonna ramble on with useless details. I also know a day or so after I post something, I'll remember something I forgot to put in. LOL! We can't have internet at work due to security issues so I've been writing my trip report at work, printing it out and now I have to retype it. It's late, I need sleep but I want to get this started! I'm still playing catch up on everything at home and work since getting back from vacation.

The DF and I were in Disney from Sept. 9-16. He's 50, I'm 39. We went during this same week last year. We stayed at POFQ last year and this year. I've successfully converted him into a WDW nut like me. Well, he's not quite there yet, but he's hooked!! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/smileys/0492.gif Mission accomplished! ;)

Here goes...

We took Southwest. We got to the airport around 8:00 a.m. for our 9:50 a.m. flight. I had my laptop with me, so to kill time while waiting in the airport and since they had wireless service, I sent some emails to friends and family members. It was finally time to board. The flight was okay, just a lot of turbulence. They kept the seatbelt light on the entire flight. When we landed, one of the male flight attendants sang a very funny song for us. We all got off the plane laughing telling him while it was very entertaining, he probably shouldn't quit his day job. :rotfl:

We were using the Magical Express service like we did last year but this year there was no CMs with a big Mickey hand waiting for us when we disembarked. We had to find the ME location ourselves. We get checked in with them and get into the POFQ bus line. They send us to board our bus and it isn't the ME bus like it was last year. For some reason they had us board a Disney Cruise Lines bus. :confused3:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6369-1.jpg

I just noticed that this lady is wearing lime green! I wonder if she's one of us??!! (I didn't even notice when I took the picture) I also see a girl with a lime green hoodie on the bus stairs! I must not have had enough coffee when I took that picture!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6374.jpg

I thought it was kind of tacky that each of the monitors on the bus had stickers that said "Gratuity appreciated" - I noticed when we disembarked at POFQ I was the only one to tip the driver. I also noticed on the ME bus back to the airport at the end of our trip, the stickers on the bus we were on had all been torn off.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6377-1.jpg

We arrived at POFQ and got checked in. They told us at the desk that we had packages that arrived (our spring water from Staples!) I thought it was pretty cool that we didn't even have to inquire about it - they told us! They said the packages would be delivered to our room right away. While we were checking in, I asked if any of my requests were possible - such as being close to the pool or food court, first floor and corner room. We got building 6 (like we had last year) and first floor. He said they had no corner rooms and we started talking about corner rooms. I said we wanted it for the extra windows that provide more light - but the CM at the desk said the corner rooms have the same amount of windows as the other rooms. I knew he was blatantly wrong but I just let it go. It was too soon in the trip!

We go up to the room and the first thing I do is put the LGMHPCs in the window. I had to explain to the DF what it was all about. He thinks I'm crazy, but he does think that this whole LGMHPCs Dis board cult thing is kinda cool. :)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6468_00.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6469_00.jpg

The spring water was delivered within 20 minutes and the really nice CM wouldn't take a tip from me. I asked if a lot of people have things delivered and he said sure they do - its his job to deliver the stuff and it keeps him busy.

I wanted to freshen up before going out to hit the parks but my makeup and perfume and stuff was in the luggage which took about 2 hours to be delivered to us via ME. Last year we got it within a half hour. I was spoiled! I found that all around, the ME service was much better last year. Which is kinda strange cuz you think things would improve with age (?) While I was waiting for the luggage, the DF went down to the store and picked up some alcoholic beverages for our fridge and then went and hung by Mardi Grogs for a little bit. He also stopped by the Concierge desk and booked some ADRs for us as we hadn't made any ADR's yet. He booked us in the Hoop Dee Doo, Mama Melroses, Crystal Palace and O'Hana's for dinner. He was even sure to mention that I was a vegetarian (I do eat a limited amount of fish) Since HDD was our first ADR, I rec'd. a message on the room voice mail giving a number to call the next morning and speaking with the chef about what my meal options were. How efficient!! :thumbsup2

We (finally) left the room and got a bus to Epcot. Our destination was Mexico to the La Cantina for nachos and frozen Margaritas. It started to rain so we just took a bus back to the hotel. Our buddy Elliot Dyson who normally plays the Scat Cat Lounge Wed - Sat was out of town. He emailed us prior to our trip to let us know his schedule. The guy who was filling in for him (not sure of his name and the bartender wasn't sure either as this guy hardly ever fills in cuz Elliot is always there) was late going on. We asked why and it turns out his "tech" hadn't showed up to set up his equipment. It was already after 8:30 (show was supposed to start at 8:00) so we decided to walk over to POR and catch Bob Jackson. He was great - he must drink more coffee than me because he was incredibly hyper for that time of night. His show was good and all, but just a bit loud and rowdy for me for that time of night. I'd rather relax and unwind than get all hyper again. Due to the rain, he had a huge crowd and he does a lot of interaction with the audience. Lots of kids, too.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6398-1.jpg

The DF and I sat at the bar and had beers. We were getting hungry so we ordered the crab cake bites appetizer. We had to laugh at the portion when it was brought out. It was so...well, lets just say "cute" for the price. It was like $9.49 or something.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6406-2.jpg

They were very good, I just wish there was more of them. We were still hungry after we ate them so we walked back to our hotel and the DF got a bacon double cheeseburger with fries and I got a veggie burger with fries from our food court and took them back to our room to eat. I grabbed a coffee refill in the POFQ mugs we bought and I signed online and hung out until I was tired. So that was Day 1 of our trip.

On to Day 2!

When at WDW I always have to get up before the crack of dawn (usually between 5:00-5:30 a.m.) I enjoy showering and then heading out to enjoy walking around the grounds while no one else is around and just absorbing those magical Disney vibes! :goodvibes It's cool to have the entire place to yourself. Once the food court opens, I head in for a cup of coffee then relax either sitting and watching the sunrise or just wandering around.

So every morning I'd go to the food court and get myself a coffee and the DF a Diet Coke (he can't drink coffee anymore) I went for coffee and on my way back to the room, I notice a LGMHPC hanging on my door knob!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/smileys/0492.gif I totally freaked out!!!! I was like OMG!! OMG!! OMG!! That was FAST! We just arrived yesterday!!!! WOO HOO!!!! :dance3: Who was better than me????!!!!! I see it says it's from Scrap4U. So, the rest of the entire trip I had my eyes peeled and suspected EVERYONE at the hotel of being Scrap4U. LOL! I couldn't wait for the DF to wake up so I could tell him!!! (Thanks Scrap4U!!) You were my first Dis Board "encounter" You always remember your first, ya know?! :rotfl: I was just oozing lime green by this point. Then I wasn't sure what the protocol was when you get a LGMHPC from someone. So I stuck it in my window with the rest of the collection. It's in the picture I posted in my Day 1 report actually.

Once the DF was ready to go, we went and had breakfast in the food court. I am addicted to Panera Bread bagels, so I brought 6 of them with me to have for breakfast throughout the week. Cinnamon Crunch. Mmmm! They taste the best in the oven, but I had to get by microwaving them in the food court. I got a side of grits (I LOVE grits!) and the DF had the egg and cheese croissant.

Before we left the room every morning, I was sure to put out one of my preprinted Disney character tip envelopes stuffed with a $5 tip for each day.

We took the bus to Animal Kingdom and immediately noticed that buses weren't as efficient this year as they were last year. We always had to wait around quite a while for a bus - we were spoiled last year - they seemed to be running more frequently. We got inside the park (I was impressed how quickly the check bag lines move) and headed for the safari first. On our way there I noticed GMax and her mom!!! I had another OMG!! OMG!! OMG!! moment!! I told the DF that was GMax and her mom!!! Lets go after them!! By the time we got turned around in the crowd and headed after them, they got lost in the crowd. :sad1:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/More%20WDW%20photos/100_2886.jpg

We continued to the safari and had an excellent tour guide/driver. He was very funny. He sounded like Cheech of Cheech and Chong. LOL! I love how he'd say "Look! They are yumping" (instead of jumping) LOL! I filmed the entire safari with my mini video recorder and the DF complained about not being able to get pics of the animals because we were always moving. A lot of the animals were hiding, but some were out. We did okay - there was an ostrich right by the road near the bus.

I had my Hidden Mickeys book with me and was on the lookout for any. I did find a couple at AK.

This was a hidden white Baloo inside Tamu Tamu Refreshments

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6447_00-1.jpg

And this was on the ground close by

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6448_00-1.jpg

This was really strange. These vines just up and started walking away! :teeth:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6423_00-1.jpg

We did It's tough to be a bug and then headed for the HOLY GRAIL....Expedition Everest!!! :woohoo: We stopped to admire the looks of it. There was a bunch of cars just stuck/stopped on the hill - you can see it in the picture. I wonder if anyone got stuck there and had to climb down?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6436-1.jpg

And then we went to get in line, but didn't see a line. We were told the ride was broke down and they weren't sure how long it would be before it was back up and running and that there were no fast passes being distributed. :sad2:

We did the Dinosaur ride and it was great that none of the rides so far had lines. Even though the wait lines were saying 10 or 20 minutes, there was never a wait. We headed to the Lion King show, I filmed the entire show ... we just LOVE it!! We then went and had frozen daquiri's at the Dawa Bar and enjoyed the entertainment. They have some very talented people doing the various performances at AK. We had the Dawa bartender call to find out if EE was fixed yet and they said no. :sad2:

I always get a kick outta this saddle bar stool at Dawa bar. I don't know why, but I laugh when I see this.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/More%20WDW%20photos/100_2887.jpg

We took the bus back to our hotel. We stopped in the store to pick up a snack. We got a jar of Queso cheese dip and some tortilla chips. I microwaved some of the cheese dip in the food court on the way back to the room. When we got to the room we noticed all of the lights turned off except for the light over one of the beds. On the bed we found this:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6487.jpg

YES! I did the happy dance AGAIN!!! :dance3: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/smileys/0492.gif Talk about pixie dust and warm fuzzies!!!! Our Mousekeeper for the first half of the week was Jose H (he had left a card. The person who took over after him never left a card.)

Yikes! It's 2:16 a.m. and I have to be up for work at 6:00 a.m. As much as I really want to continue this, with 8 days to write about, I'll be here for hours!!

So I guess I'll stop for now and continue tomorrow.

YAY! You've started your report! And I'm the first to respond!

I can't believe that we were at the same resort, at the same time, and were even at EPCOT on the same day and did NOT run into each other! :confused3

I was in bldg5 on the side facing the pool - well mostly the laundry room.

I agree with you about the Magical Express. I didnt mention it in my report because I thought I was being overly sensitive. But last year it was SO COOL that they were standing there as soon as we got off the plane! I felt really special - like they were waiting just for me! This year they did not greet us when we got off the plane, and when I went downstairs to board the bus, it too was a Disney Cruiseline bus. On the way from the resort to the airport, a Mears bus showed up :( It seems that since we were there at a slow time, they would have ME busses available.

Well I'll be looking forward to more! Now get some sleep!

Hey I just read DAY2! Are we two ships passing in the night or what?!

But now I have to scold you. As a DISer, you should know that you were supposed to ride EE first, and the safari second. Better to risk seeing less animals, than a long line at EE! SHAME! SHAME! I will admit that the animals were hiding when we were on the safari too - except the ostrich! We must have seen the same one!

I also got a picture of the people stuck on the ride. Thank God that did not happen to us. My Mother would never ride anything else again!

Scrap4U was really doing her DISduty, because she left me one too!

Hope you're not too tired at work today! I'll check back in for more!

YAY!! You were the first to reply to my first TR! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/smileys/0492.gif

It's a lot of fun writing TRs but geesh it's tough finding the time and it's actually hard work. Loading pics, resizing (I resized to smaller, but i think I like the bigger ones better...you can see them better...I'd like a happy medium, but ever since Photobucket changed the size edit thing, you have to choose one of their options) oh well.

I'm going to try and get a little more written now before I start forgetting details.

Yeah I was disappointed with the ME service this year. Last year it was so perfect with attention to detail and this year it was just a ride to and from the airport. And our bus to the airport was very late. Bad enough they pick you up three hours before your flight, but they ask you to be 15 min. early, and then THEY show up like 30 min late. :sad2:

I can't believe I missed your door with LGMHPCs cuz I did laundry twice that week, which meant several trips to and from the laundry room!! I was trying to be so alert and had my LGMHPC radar working overtime or so I thought.l :confused3

The DF noticed you and your mother another time during our trip, too. He pointed you out on your way through the lobby of POFQ during one night of Elliot's show. Of his three shows we were there for, we missed one of them because we were at Ohana's. So I'd say it was probably Friday night...kinda late...probably like 10 or 11ish. So, I SAW you twice last week, but just didn't get to meet you :sad2:

:rotfl:

Aww thanks D.O.! :sunny: I didn't have nearly as many LGMHPCs as I would have liked, so I figure if I start getting a few at at time every time I go to Home Depot..I should have a good collection by the time our next WDW trip comes up. I have to make sure the DF knows the exact color. He got some for me once and they were the wrong color green! :sad2: I said no, no, no! That's the wrong color and he said, yeah but they're green. :sad2:

I am so excited about finishing my TR but I'm always so busy. It's 1:16am and I should be sleeping! LOL

1 - Writing a report is much more work than it looks! And yes, I am mad that photobucket changed their options.

2 - Sorry you missed my door, but we were on the 2nd floor. So you would have to look up to see it.

3 - Can't believe you saw us then too! We were comming back from EPCOT that night! Hopefully if we can go back next year, we can catch up with each other!

Great start, when I wrote about my trip I to had to add or say I missed this so I am writing it now. I don't know how people can write theirs for months or years after. They must take notes. I was too busy for that.

I am posting late, so excuse me if I sleep type! I love the report so far and I agree with the magical express thing. I saw the tip things when we got picked up at the airport and they were gone when they took us back!

As for seeing lime green people in the park, I saw tons, even whole families decked out in lime green, but none of them dissed. :sad2: They just must have liked lime green.

Keep writing, I can't wait to read more. :teeth:

Thanks for reading my TRs you guys!! I didn't think anyone would read it...thanks for the compliments. :goodvibes

ET - YES! I saw tons of lime green people at the parks, too, but no LGMHPCs and none of them said anything about mine. I'd hate to approach someone just cuz they're wearing lime green and have them report me to security. LOL! :rotfl: I saw a lot of those Disney tshirts that were on sale a few months ago for like $3.19 or whatever on the Disney store website. I bought them in orange, teal and lime green. I saw entire families clothed in them all in the same color. LOL.

Okay I need to continue with Day 2. I left off on the heart towel art Jose H left.

Jose H was very busy in our room! He picked up all of our stuff on the shelf over the sink (razor, toothpaste, deodorant, cologne, etc) and put down folded washcloths under everything and arranged it all neatly. He left a stack of extra washcloths, extra towels, shampoo and soap (more of everything than usual) and he even crafted a toothbrush holder out of a washcloth and stuck our toothbrushes in it! We used it all week, and unbeknowst to me, the DF took it home with us!! LOL!! :rotfl: He also arranged the DF's reading glasses in their case and his paperback book on the back of the toilet. He put a couple extra towels down and arranged the glasses case and book on top of it (DF would probably kill me if he knew I posted that here.) :teeth:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/toothbrushholder.jpg

We freshened up and took a bus to the Magic Kingdom and caught a boat to Fort Wilderness for our ADRs to the Hoop Dee Doo Revue.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6512.jpg

We arrived very early, so we checked out the store and then went into Crockett's Tavern for cocktails. The bartender (Ben) was fun - he was kinda complaining about people who bring newborn babies to WDW. LOL.

We had excellent seats!! We sat in the balcony towards the center. We had perfect view of everything!!! From now on, I will request the balcony when I go here! The show was EXCELLENT!! It's definitely something I would like to do everytime I go to WDW now!! This is the first time I've ever gone to HDDR. I would have taken more pictures, but I filmed the entire show, so I didn't get much as far as pics go. The service was awesome! Our server was Carlos. He was very nice and very funny and efficient, too. :thumbsup2

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6513.jpg

Here's a picture of me and the DF that Carlos took of us. I was wearing one of those infamous Disney Tshirts. LOL

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6514-1.jpg

The food was phenomenal!! We had made the arrangements for my special vegetarian/fish dish that morning on the phone, and told the person when we checked in, like we were informed to do. But apparently no one had told Carlos, our server. We started with a salad and AWESOME cornbread (I LOVE cornbread!) As you can see in the picture above, the cornbread is served on a cutting board. I could have polished off the entire thing myself, but I didn't. :rotfl:

After Carlos cleared away the salad he brought out a bucket of chicken and slammed it the steel plate in front of DF. It was funny. I'm sure the sound recorded on my tape! I was filming the show at the time. Next thing I kow, he slammed a bucket of ribs in front of me. DF spoke up before I could and told him about my special meal. He didn't know about it and said he'd go check. Minutes later he came back with my special meal. It was a HUGE piece of white fish, a baked potato and grilled veggies like zucchini, yellow squash, peppers, onions, etc. The portion was enough for at least two people! I didn't even eat half of it. The DF also got baked beans, and corn on the cob which was very soggy. But what can you expect when they are making so much food for so many people? The entire meal was great accept for the soggy corn.

One of the ladies in the show came upstairs to interact with those of us sitting up there, and she steered clear of our table when she saw I was filming, which I thought was very nice of her. :thumbsup2 She did come back later on in the evening when she saw I wasn't filming and it turns out she's from just next door to CT in Long Island, NY.

The DF and I were joking with Carlos about how he should sing and dance with the show. So of course we busted up laughing when the servers became part of the show and did this song and dance whilst holding all of our trays of strawberry shortcake dessert. To see Carlos on stage doing the Rockette's type kick was priceless!! :rotfl2: We still laugh just thinking about it.

I had coffee and the DF didn't want dessert. I didn't touch my coffee or the strawberry shortcake until I was done filming and by that time they were already clearing the tables, so I got to taste the dessert and it was delicious!!

I noticed a lot of laughing coming from down below us on the floor as the servers were clearing tables and everyone was leaving. Someone took their cornbread and cut it into the shape of a Mickey Mouse head and left it on their table. The server was laughing so hard, she picked it up to show everyone and then it broke ... she was bummed out ... I wanted to get a picture of it, but I missed it! Darn! A lost HM opportunity! It looked great, too!!

We were pleasantly surprised to find out that a bus to POFQ was waiting outside for us along with a bunch of other buses to the resort. Now that's some good Disney efficiency at work! :thumbsup2

We got back to our room and I went down to the food court for my usual night cap of coffee (am I the only one who can drink a mug of coffee and go right to bed?) I signed online and played on the Disboard until I got sleepy. That was it for Day 2.

I'm going to get Day 3 started but I really have to shampoo the carpets. With 2 dogs and 2 cats its necessary. They just went nuts while we were at WDW last week. Muddy foot prints everywhere! A few mysterious stains...etc....I have a lot of work to do...but I am just DRAWN to the Disboard! :disrocks: And this is much more fun than shampooing the rugs.

Day 3. Monday.

Yep I got up early, went for coffee and Diet Coke. When DF was ready, we left for breakfast in the food court. I had the egg and cheese croissant and the DF had the King Creole (Egg, bacon, home fries and a biscuit.)

We went back to our room to get our cameras and HM book and before I left, I put Jose H's tip envelope out and also left this for him on my bed, where he left the heart the day before.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6535_00-2.jpg

We took the boat from POFQ to Downtown Disney because the DF was looking for a specific pair of Mickey Mouse cargo shorts like he bought last year. Last year he got the khaki ones and he wanted to pick up either green or blue ones, but we couldn't find them anywhere all week. When we got there we split up for shopping and kept in contact via cell phones.

I bought some really cute ornaments in the Christmas store and photographed one of the HM's in there:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/100_6538.jpg

And here's another HM I got from there (I went on a bigger search later in the week, so I'll post more pics further in my TR)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/100_6540.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/100_6541.jpg

We took the boat back to our hotel and when we got into our room, once again, all of the lights were off except for the one over the bed where we found this:

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/smileys/0492.gif

Jose H is very funny and creative!! Yes it was another OMG!! OMG!! OMG!! episode!! Once again he left extra towels and washcloths. We had so many by this point!! The hotel must've been noticing the shortage and thinking people were taking them home!!

We left and took a bus to Epcot.

...to be continued.... :dance3:

Thanks for reading my TR!! :sunny: And thanks for all the compliments! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/smileys/0492.gifhttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/smileys/0492.gif

Yes! Jose was the best! We were sad that we didn't have him for our entire week, however, the person who took over...well, that's later on in my TR!! <--that was my attempt at a "tease" to get you to come back and read some more! LOL!

Okay so we get to Epcot and we went on Spaceship Earth first. I had to laugh that we were able to walk right on. I remember a few years back waiting over an hour to get on this ride!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/More%20WDW%20photos/100_2881.jpg

There are a few HMs on this ride but the only one I photographed was the one on the way in. There are mouse ears on this spaceship.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6765.jpg

Next was Test Track. :car: One of my favorite Disney rides. There are several HM's on Test Track, but this time I only photographed one. I filmed my ride on Test Track. I haven't watched the tapes yet. I shot like 10 video tapes at WDW! So that really cut back on my picture taking. I love photography and love to take pictures. I ALWAYS have a camera with me wherever I go. I'm usually good for taking 1,000 pictures at WDW but this year I only took around 600. :confused3 Speaking of pictures, is it just me or did they change the angle on the picture you get taken on Test Track? I know they did on Dinosaur at AK.

Here's the HM I got:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6553_00.jpg

Then we went on Mission Space and opted for the orange "spinning" ride. Bring it on!! Last year I was the navigator a couple times, this time I was the engineer and the DF was the commander. It seems to me like last year when I went on MS the G forces felt stronger. Was that changed? I know the first time I ever went on it, I felt like the skin on my face was blowing back...didn't get that sensation this time. It also seems like in the past it was much harder to move your head. This time I was playing with all the control buttons on the instrument panel. There's a lot of them to play with. I think I was making the rest of our "team" nervous by playing with everything. I still always have to laugh when I see the air sickness bags.

After this it was on to Soarin'! WOO HOO!!! :tigger:

Am I the only one who points at the TV screen and shouts, "Look! It's David Puddy!!" when the guy on the Soarin' film comes on?? I'm a huge Seinfeld fan and I can't get past this guy being Elaine's garage mechanic boyfriend Puddy. LOL! And doesn't the guy who has those "little beauties" on look like Jon Lovitz?! LOL! Did I mention that I was very easily amused?!!

I was on a mission to film the HM on the golf ball that the golfer hits and it flies at you as you're soaring over the golf course. You can see it for a split second, but it's near impossible to get a picture of. So I smuggled my digital camera on the ride with me and didn't put it in the storage bin below becaue it was smaller than my video recorder. My digital camera shoots video, too, but in short increments. So I managed to film the entire ride, but I haven't watched the videos yet to see if I can slow it down and grab that one picture of the golf ball. That's a project for another day (week? month?)

I love the pine tree smell and the oranges and the smell of the ocean when you're on Soarin'. It's amazing what Disney is capable of.

I was bummed out that Living with the Land was closed for refurbishment. The DF sighed a sigh of relief (he thinks its boring) but I'm really into gardening and I love that ride.

I stilll miss Food Rocks. When they removed that I was incredibly upset and disappointed. That was one of my favorite things at Epcot. I don't understand why they opted to remove it entirely??!! :sad2:

And they took the baked potatoes away that you used to be able to get in The Land pavilliion!! We went there last year ready to have one, but only to find out they were gone. :sad2:

We left Epcot and took the monorail to the Polynesian. We got frozen mudslides in the Tambu Lounge (I took this to tease my mother. She loves getting frozen drinks at WDW - I was emailing my parents pictures from WDW every night from the hotel room) I had already drank some of this, so you can't see the cherry that was floating at the top.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6561_00-1.jpg
I figure that's probably about 3 days' worth of calories right there in that glass.

I went over and photographed the cute HM on the Kona coffee bar. I love this one cuz it's purple.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6563_00.jpg

We went over to the podium for O'Hana's to inquire about how to handle my special meal request. The guy at the podium while very nice, was a little slow on the uptake, so we asked for the chef. Kim came out. A very large, very nice man!! He introduced himself, shook our hands and asked what he could help us with. When I told him I was a vegetarian but that I ate a little fish as well, he made a suggestion of what he'd like to make for me. He recommended spring rolls, grilled veggies and tofu over lo mein noodles in a miso sauce and said I could eat the potatoes, and the salad and the shrimp and fried noodles that were already part of the meal. He said to ask for the chef the night of our ressies and if it wasn't him, and was Alfonso, he said to make sure he knows what we talked about. :thumbsup2

We went out to wait for the monorail. I love the monorails. Ever since the first time I took my DS to WDW he and I laugh about "Por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas" cuz he picked that up right away and was repeating it all day. LOL! My parents laugh when you say that, too. I love it! I have the limited edition pin set that Disney put out a few years ago of the 2 monorail warning signs (English & Spanish) I did mention how easily amused I am, right?

Here's duelling monorails. I was thinking that monorail racing could be interesting. :scratchin

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6564-1.jpg

We took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and sat in the front car. It was just me and DF and we got our little co-pilot cards and stickers. I took a few pictures and then realized I should have taken some video footage. Oh well. Next time.

Day 3 continued...

When we arrived at the MK I had to take a picture of this display because it was too cute for words. I LOVE the Mickey bat on the sign.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6560-1.jpg

I reeeeeaaaaalllllyyyyy wanted to do the Halloween party at MK, but the DF has night blindness and he just can't see at all in the parks at night. :(

We had ADRs for dinner at Crystal Palace at 6:30 and we figured we could have dinner and then catch SpectroMagic. I planned on video taping it. It was about 5:30 when we arrived at MK and we didn't want to roam too far, so we just took the train around the park. I video taped the entire train ride, too.

Crystal Palace was soooo crowded that we got seated late and missed just about all of SM so we had to plan to do SM another night.

As usual, there was very good food at the buffet at CP. It's impossible to remember everything but I had garlic mashed potatoes, cole slaw, pasta salads, potato salad, tossed salad, beets, shrimp, pizza, bread & butter, and I think my favorite thing was the cinnamon rice! YUMMY! The DF had all of that stuff as well as the prime rib and chicken. The dessert buffet was outrageous, too! I wanted everything! The DF didn't want dessert. I took a little sampling of most of the cakes and pies. It was Coconut flan, key lime pie, carrot cake, peanut butter cake, red velvet cheesecake, I know I'm forgetting things. Everything was great! I didn't have any but the ice cream and toppings looked good, the cookies, the brownies, you name it!! The DF wasn't really crazy about CP. He said it was too loud, too busy, and he didn't like that there was a CM walking around with a little computer which he figures was used to track the tables and how close to leaving people were. He thought that was tacky. I guess they need to do it, but it wasn't discreet at all. We had Pooh, Piglet and Tigger visit our table, but not Eyeore. We tried to wait for him, but he wasn't around. :confused3

Here's a couple of the DF with characters. He took some of me on his 35mm camera, so I don't have those scanned and downloaded yet.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6585_00.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6587_00-1.jpg

We took a bus back to POFQ, I got my nightly cup of coffee and went to bed. I wished there was more of a selection to watch on TV. That perky Tracy or Stacy or whatever her name was, she's great but YIKES! That perky loud voice when you turn on the TV first thing in the morning or late at night is just a little too irritating!

I'm going to cover Day 4, Tuesday, tomorrow (well, later today actually it's already 2:15 a.m. I should be sleeping.)

Stay tuned for: *My first quick encounter with a fellow Disboard member. Yes!! Staying at POFQ!!! YAY!! and
*More antics by Mousekeeper Jose!

Hey TRF! I'm so glad I was your first Diser! You were also the first one we spotted. In fact, I didn't see your LGMHs, DH did as we were walking to our car on Sunday morning to go to AK! Just as you and GMax were doing. :rotfl2: We did Donald's Breakfastosaurus at 820am and DH was in the front car of the first train going on EE when it opened. We did the Safari after that and walked right on. Had a great driver who would stop for us to take pictures and we saw lots of animals.

We also did Epcot on Saturday 9/9. We did CP for dinner on Sunday night at MK as we were doing the EMH. Of course the pouring rain caused Spectromagic to be shorted but Wishes still went off.

I have to check my notes but I think we were back at Epcot on Monday too. I swear we were following you two and Gmax and her mom around the parks but somehow, we never saw you. :sad2:

Great TR so far! :thumbsup2 Can't wait to read the rest. popcorn::

Thanks! I'm glad anyone is reading this...and actually enjoying it?!! LOL!

S4U - that's too funny that we were basically in the same places at the same time but didn't know it.

And its amazing how many people wear various articles of lime green clothing when you are aware of and looking for it. I was also surprised at the number of men wearing crocs - men, little boys - I even saw a guy at MCO wearing hot pink ones. I was wearing my comfortable, podiatrist recommended New Balance sneakers all week and still managed to get a huge blister under one of my toes. I was ready to call my podiatrist on the phone and ask what to do but instead I went to the store in the lobby and picked up alcohol swabs, a sewing kit (for the pins) and mole foam stuff. After having to limp on my foot for a day, it started to feel better. I've had surgery on both of my feet in the past as well as fracturing my foot about a year and a half ago and none of that bothered me, but I still managed to get a blister. I've never gotten a blister at WDW before. :confused3 I was impressed by the little "foot care" section at the store at POFQ.

I'm starting to get sick today...usually a few days after arriving home from WDW I get sick - I thought I escaped it this time, but I guess not.

Okay Day 4 is next. I really need to chop chop and get this TR finished cuz I want to have time to read everyone elses! I've fallen behind in reading Gmax's TR!!

Day 4 Tuesday. I got up early, showered, got dressed, and went for coffee and Diet Coke. When the DF was ready we went down to the food court for breakfast. The routine was that I would find a table and get the utensils and condiments, and microwave my bagel on the days I had that, and he'd get in line for the food. Well, I found us "our" table - it was a table by the doors closest to the direction of our room so after we ate we could get out quick. I was at our table ready to sit down and I hear from behind me something like, "Hey you have a Mickey head" (Sorry if I got your quote wrong!!) and I turned around and said something like, "Yes I do!!" It was ReneeLMT sitting at the next table with a few other people. :goodvibes We talked for a few minutes and I managed to remain calm and not have an episode or cause a scene in the food court. LOL! But, when DF came to the table, I told him about it and he was like, "Oh geez, you must have been in your glory because another person from the Dis Board recognized you" LOL! ReneeLMT was the ONLY person there all week to acknowledge my LGMHPC hanging on my purse! I'm not sure, but I think I might have been wearing my lime green Disney tshirt. I could be wrong, I'd have to look at pics taken Tuesday to be sure. I didn't even think to take a picture of ReneeLMT, but she was at a table of people anyway and having my first encounter with a Disser I was kinda in shock almost. LOL! Huh. Imagine, ME almost speechless. :rotfl2: The DF would roll his eyes at that one.

Well breakfast once again for me was a Panera Bread bagel with a side of grits and DF had Biscuits and Gravy.

We went back to the room and got ready to leave. The DF booked us an appointment to check out the Disney Vacation Club. His sister is a member and she loves it. So we decided to see what they had to offer.

But before we left the room, I had to leave Jose's tip envelope and this on the bed for him:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6592.jpg

A DVC van picked us up in front of POFQ at 9:00. Our appointment was at Saratoga Springs (that's what they're selling for the DVC right now) at 9:15. It was about 90 minutes long and SS was very impressive. The rooms are huge and luxurious. We got a packet of info, a free book and we could have had free ice cream in the lobby (but we weren't in the mood for ice cream in the morning!) They would have dropped us off anywhere on the property that we wanted to go, but we asked to be brought back to our hotel so we could drop off the book and packet.

We took a bus to MGM.

The first thing we did there was Tower of Terror. We LOVE this ride!! This ride sequence was the mildest I've ever had. It was a series of short drops. We had the front row towards the center. The best place to be for this ride and also the seat I had the first time I ever rode it when it first opened! :thumbsup2

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6620.jpg

Next we went to Star Tours, The Great Movie Ride (I filmed this entire ride-we really love this ride), Walt Disney One Man's Dream, and we didn't go in to see Muppets 3D this time (because a group had just gone in and we didn't want to wait - it was kind of sprinkling outside at the time, too) but I did go in while DF waited outside for me and I photographed the key under the mat - the CM said, "Wait, before you take the picture, let me hold the mat up so it's authentic" :goodvibes

We had ADR's for Mama Melroses that night and planned on having dinner then catching Fantasmic. It was about 2:00 and we passed by MM's (I love the spaghetti hanging in the windows)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6627_00.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6629_00-1.jpg

We stopped in to see if they had any tables available now for lunch. They did with no waiting, so we cancelled our ADR's and had lunch there, instead. I was kind of disappointed with the food. My DS loves the place and she raves about it all the time. This was my first time eating here. Maybe my expectations were too high. We told the server I was a vegetarian and there really wasn't much on the menu for me to have. He basically repeated what was already on the menu as options so I asked if I could talk to the chef. The chef came over and just wasn't as receptive as the other chef's I'd dealt with were. I mean, he was polite and nice. I ended up having the spaghetti fra diavlo with shrimp instead whatever it was it normally came with (chicken maybe? I forget now.) The DF got the Chicken parm. They brought out bread which was a hard roll with sesame seeds and some of dipping sauce for it. The bread tasted hard and stale and the dipping sauce wasn't very good. It was some type of pesto dip with marinara sauce and it did nothing for the bread. We asked for butter, but it didn't make the bread taste any less stale. When our meals came out, the first thing we noticed was that the pasta was barely covered with sauce. We like a lot of sauce on our pasta - enough to dip bread in. With us, you just can't have too much sauce. So, the pasta was DRY. They brought out more bread and it was stale and hard as well. Unless they really change the menu, we won't be coming back to MM's. Maybe the dinner menu was better?

When we left, I noticed two old ladies helping themselves to the planters of herbs outside MM's. They were both picking off pieces of basil, thyme, etc. Hello! Do they really think that stuff is planted so you can help yourself?! :sad2: I remember last year watching 2 people picking a ton of flowers that were planted at Epcot. By the time they were done, there was this huge bare spot. Are people really this dense? :sad2:

We caught a street show of public worker employees that was very funny. And we also caught Mulch Sweat and Shears which was very entertaining.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6615.jpg

While I was taking pictures, I noticed DF across the street in front of my favorite store name at MGM:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6617_00-1.jpg

We didn't really do anything else at MGM. We shopped for a little while before leaving and I took a few various pictures. I have taken so many pictures here in the past, there was a lot I didn't need to take more of.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6601_00-1.jpg

We took the bus back to our hotel because it was several hours before Fantasmic, so we figured we'd leave and come back later. When we got back to our room, once again, all of the lights were off except for the one over the bed. This time the light was left on over the other bed and we found this...

Sorry. it's 2:14 a.m. I have to be up at 6:00 a.m. for work tomorrow...soooo...I will post tomorrow the rest of Day 4.

Thank you very much for reading my TR!!!! Have a wonderful Monday. :wave2:

I'd fallen behind on your report - which actually turned out to be a good thing, because I gotto read alot at once!

Sorry to hear you're sick too, but again, it makes me less lonely in my "cold" misery!

I'm lovin' your report! Love the pictures at MGM. I was a bit bummed out that the Muppets fountain was boarded up. I was looking forward to getting my picture taken by this for some reason.

Seeing the picture you took at one of the stands at MGM reminded me of something. MGM was the last park we visited, While there, I think I visited the very stand you photographed for 1 bottle of water. The CM there wanted to see my driver's license in order for me to use my room key to buy the water as a snack credit. I was a bit confused and she explained that she got yelled at for not asking for ID when people used their cards. Mind you, this is the last full day of my vacation. I had not seen my license since I left for Orlando in the airport. I had to dig through my ENTIRE bag for it before she would give me the water. Good thing I had it. I started to just walk off, but I was thirsty.

Looking forward to more! Great Pics!

Well I booked off sick from work today. I do feel pretty crappy and I just wanted to say that the Trans-siberian Orchestra ticket sale today had nothing to do with it. :rolleyes1 I mean, it's not MY fault we can't have internet access at work...

GMax - as I recall, I was also sick at the same time as you last year after returning home from WDW. I remember reading your TR from last year and thinking ok so it's not just me!

That's unbelieveable the hassle over your license for a bottle of water. Geesh. And that DP must be wildly popular cuz everywhere DF and I went to get food of any kind, they always asked if we had the DP and I noticed signs hanging everywhere stating was was part of the DP, etc.

Okay I'm determined to get more of my TR done.

I left off on what Jose had left on our bed for us.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6632-1.jpg

I thought this was hysterical! :lmao: Okay so he left off the "s" but maybe he ran out of towels?! I never met him, but I love this Jose H! :goodvibes He also left the "JOSE" on the bed that I had made with towels. We had A LOT of towels at this point. Because every day he left a stack of wash cloths and tons of extra towels folded everywhere, not to mention the racks were full. Which reminds me, one thing I don't get at POFQ is...it's really cool how they have two sinks and the curtain you can draw to close the sink area off from the rest of the room, but how come both sinks don't have towel racks? If you use the sink closest to the "closet" area (the bar with hangers) you have to walk with dripping wet hands past the other sink to the towel rack. :confused3

The DF went to the pool (I can't swim, so I didn't) but I did walk around the pool. Here's the DF now...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/More%20WDW%20photos/100_2977.jpg

We took a bus back to MGM and headed for Fantasmic. It was about 20 minutes before show time and there really was no line. There were a ton of people walking the loooooooooooooooong walk to get to the seating area, but we never had to actually "stand" in line. We found seats in the 3rd row (the place was really crowded so we had to take what we could find) Talk about a lot of people in one place. We had originally book a MM Fantasmic package, but first of all, it was way too much food for us, and 2nd, the ressies were so early. Like 4:30 or something silly like that. So we called and cancelled prior to our vacation. The CM had told me when I was booking the package that she had seen Fantasmic 5 times and each time just walked in and found a seat. She said booking a Fantasmic package really isn't necessary, especially when it's off peak.

We only got a bit wet in the 3rd row but that's only because it was very windy outside. I filmed the entire show, so I didn't get any pictures (unless I can pull some from my video recorder at a later time) The show was great! I'd recommend everyone see it at least once. I've been wanting to see it for a long time and finally did, but I don't think I'd need to see it again. It's amazing how they can use water screens. The effects were great and I love Fantasia and the music. I couldn't believe what a mess everyone left behind after the show (I meant to take a picture but forgot.) A tip I'd like to mention is, when it's time to leave and everyone is making a mass exodus, it's faster if you walk all the way to your right (if you're facing the show) and go up the last row of stairs. The people who were in our row that chose to up the stairs closest to where we were sitting, were still standing on the stairs waiting as we were already at the top and on our way.

We left MGM and took the bus to POR to see what their food court had for dinner. I got Vegetarian chili (which was EXCELLENT!!! I will get this every time I go back it was that good!!!) and a Corona and the DF got a bacon double cheeseburger with fries and a Bud.

After we ate, I got a picture of the HM on the Indian that is standing by the bakery:

We walked back to FQ and to our room and went and got my nightly coffee and a Diet Coke for the DF. I signed online and sent some Disney pics to friends and family and eventually went to bed.

Day 5. Wednesday. It seems as though the week is picking up speed. I'm wishing it was Saturday again.

I kind of overslept on Wednesday and got up around 7:20 a.m. YIKES! I hit the ground running!! I kept forgetting to call for a wake up call and never did. Last year when I arranged for one, the DF got the phone. So, to this day, I have never heard a Disney wake up call. :sad2: Maybe next time.

I showered and got dressed and ran to the laundry room to do a load of laundry and get coffee and Diet Coke.

Once the DF was ready, we went to breakfast in the food court. I had a Panera Cinnamon Crunch bagel and grits and the DF had King Creole again.

Before we left the room, we noticed that we probably had more towels in our room than the mousekeepers had on their carts. Everyone else was probably experiencing a towel shortage while we were running out of places to put them. Check this out:

There were some under in this little area over by the TV and some on the dresser next to the TV:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6639.jpg

There were some over on one side where the clothes were hanging:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6644-1.jpg

and some on the other side of where the clothes were hanging:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6643-1.jpg

There was some on the bench next to where the clothes were hanging:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6640.jpg

More could be found on both towel racks in the bathroom (I didn't photograph the towel rack that's inside the shower):

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6646.jpg

Some on the back of the toilet:

More on the towel rack by the sinks:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6641_00.jpg

Don't forget these that we used that day:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6642.jpg

We were determined to have Jose take all of the towels away, so we used as many as we could to just make this strange looking towel tower type thing ("Towel of Terror") on the bed and then stuck our tip envelope on it.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6651_00.jpg

We took a bus to Magic Kingdom around 11:00ish. We arrived to MK at noon and did Stitch's Great Escape. When we came out, there was Stitch and no one else around! We had Stitch all to ourselves! Anytime during the week we saw characters, they had a huge line. I got more pictures of the backs of characters walking away than I did anything else!

We thought it was pretty cool how we were all wearing blue:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6662-1.jpg

We did Space Mountain (even though they've made it very unscary and with less drops than I recall it having several years ago) I still really enjoy this ride! I love when I can get the first seat!!! I remember a few years ago sitting in one of the cars and the padded bar you hold onto, had the foan rubber stuff torn out of it in the shape of fingers. :rotfl:

We did Carousel of Progress and I attempted video recording this, but it probably didn't come out anyway - I think I heard them say no video taping, so I really didn't put much effort into it. I should have just stuck to taking pictures. Here's a couple:

After COP we went on the Wedway People Mover (I know, but I still call it that!) I love how it goes through Space Mountain. I video taped the entire ride.

Here's the loooong walk out (don'tcha just love that there's no other people around??!! Gotta love September at WDW!! )

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6660.jpg

We did Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin (I always beat the DF and he always says he doesn't know how I did it. I just never take my finger off the trigger!)

We walked through Toon Town Fair and stopped for ice cream. I had a Mickey Bar and the DF had a Nestle's Crunch. :mickeybar

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6665.jpg

We did Peter Pan and I was looking for the HM (blocks) by Nana the dog, and I shot a picture of Nana, but all I got was a tail. (?)

Then we did The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. I remember having to get a FP for this in the past!!!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6672_00-1.jpg

I photographed this HM on the way in:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6677-3.jpg

And attempted to get the "radish" on in rabbit's garden and I got the "Letus" sign and the radishes, but I think the HM got cut out of my picture by just like THAT much!

I did manage to get the HM of Mr. Toad handing the deed to the house over to Owl. You have to be quick to get this one:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6674_00.jpg

Next was It's a Small World. We got right on with no lines, no waiting. I remember several years ago waiting 2 hours to ride that! I video taped this entire ride. Don't know that I'd ever watch the entire thing, but at least I have it! My mother loves this ride. So I took out my cell phone as soon as we sat down and called her. I saw that she answered and I just left the phone in my lap. Throughout the entire ride, I kept checking to see if she was still there and she was. She stayed on the phone for the ENTIRE song/ride! :rotfl: I never said a word until we got off the ride and I then said hello.

We headed to the Haunted Mansion.

One of my favorite rides. I love haunted stuff and ghosts and all that (I am a huge fan of the TV show Ghost Hunters!! And being from CT, I've always followed Ed & Lorraine Warren's career....RIP Ed Warren)

I filmed the entire ride (not sure how it will come out due to the darkness) and also managed to shoot a ton of pictures. It's amazing how detailed everything is when you can actually "see" it.

These are on the way in. I took pictures of all of them, but here's a few.

I love all this kinda stuff! I had ordered a Disney trivia book to take with us, but it's not going to be shipped out until the end of October. I guess I'll use it next time (next year??!!)

LOL! Thanks! :) We had a great time, but for some reason, it seemed like last year we did more and we even spent a day at Universal. Plus last year it was special cuz it was our first time going there together and DF's first time going since he was like 14!! And he really didn't even want to go, but was just going along for my benefit. He was dragging his feet until he got there. We weren't in Orlando for an hour and he exclaimed, "We HAVE to come back!" LOL! And ever since last year's WDW vac he's been saying we have to go back. :thumbsup2

Okay after HM we headed to the Hall of President's. We missed this last year and this year it was closed for refurbishment.

We caught the end of a parade, though. So we stopped to see it and I took a few pictures. They are a parade from a short persons perspective. LOL!

Next was Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Another of my favorite MK rides.

We did Pirates of the Caribbean next which is always fun. Glad they didn't make it "corny" adding Jack Sparrow. I think they did a good job with it.

I have to stop for now but will try and continue with more of my TR later tonight. Thanks for reading and all of your comments!! :wave2:

The towel Mickey Mouse body on the bed is hysterical! funny stuff.

Hey, did you say HoopDeeDoo had cornbread now? last time I went it was white breadrolls with a honey butter.

Great report I am enjoying every minute.

:rotfl: I know it! We cracked up for a long time over seeing the Mickey Mouse on the bed for the first time. Then I was picturing a mousekeeper standing in a hotel room rolling towels to make things. :rotfl2: I'm assuming Disney much teach them how to make things with towels. I was so happy to get all these towel things because in all the times I visited, I never got one before!!

And YES!!! HDDR has cornbread!!! And it was AWESOME!!! I am a big cornbread fanatic and this was some good stuff!!! I would have been happy just having the cornbread for dinner!

Thanks everyone for your kind words!! I am loving re-living all of our trip as I go along here. I know I'm leaving things out.

Okay on to more of Day 5. We left MK and got a bus back to POFQ. DF went in the pool and then hung at Mardi Grogs (pool bar) while I downloaded all of the days' pictures so far.

We decided to head to Epcot to see Illuminations, so we got a bus to Epcot and it was sprinkling out at this time. We were running late, so we had to rush. All of the good spots were already taken and since the DF has night blindness, I didn't want to keep dragging him all over the park trying to find a good spot so we just settled for grabbing the last table behind La Cantina in Mexico and watching with an obstructed view (lots of trees...that's what happened when we saw Illuminations last year, too) We hadn't had dinner yet so we got an order of nachos with no chili (I don't eat meat) and a couple margarita's. I filmed the show, even through the trees. It rained through most of it. Since it was rainy and dark, after Illuminations we got a bus back to POFQ and grabbed a table in the Scat Cat Lounge to see our buddy Elliot Dyson performing in the lobby.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6760_00-1.jpg

Elliot puts on an EXCELLENT show and I recommend his show to everyone who comes to Disney!! We purchased his CD last year and haven't stopped listening to it all year. He's extremely talented. It's always a lot of fun seeing him and no visit to WDW would be the same without seeing his show! He also does a Blues Brothers show over at Universal which is great also! He also does shows at the House of Blues sometimes. But he's pretty much at POFQ every Wed - Sat from 8pm -12am. He takes requests and does a huge array of songs and he is very personable and gets the audience involved. (Okay so that's enough of a plug for Elliot!) :thumbsup2 I filmed the second show of his we caught later in the week. There was an excellent crowd there of women mostly that were dancing and singing and it just made the show even more entertaining. He even did his version of the Electric Slide for them and they danced to it. :cool1: I don't have pics because I video taped it!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6762_00-1.jpg

We stayed until midnight, the end of his show. Just before Midnight I ran into the food court and grabbed a last minute coffee and we headed back for our room. On the way, I decided to check for LGMHPCs on windows to see if I could find Gmax or Scrap4U or anyone else who might have them in their window. I thought I was able to see in all of the windows, but since I missed Gmax's, that I walked by a few times (!) I guess I couldn't see as well as I thought. The DF walked around 2 buildings with me then went to bed. I walked around about another hour myself until just after 1:00 a.m. and covered every inch of grounds around all the buildings looking for LGMHPCs in windows. No luck! :confused3 I did notice that a ton of the rooms were empty. When I asked a CM at FQ how full they were, she said only around 40% full. Wow. They were doing consruction around our building (6) and they were pretty quiet about it. They'd be out there working around 2am and continue until whenever the next day. They worked very quietly and neatly. It appeared as though part of what they were doing was painting. I'm not sure what else.

I went back to the room and signed online and then went to bed around 3:00 a.m.

That's about it for day 5. So....onto to Day 6 - Thursday.

Day 6 - Thursday

(Btw, I've been going back and adding more pictures to my previous days)

I got up around 6:30 a.m. and did the usual routine - shower, etc., food court for coffee and Diet Coke and back to the food court when DF was ready. We both got the egg and cheese croissant. We ate quick and got a bus to Epcot. I just left a tip envelope for Jose and no towel art this time. We had given back most of our towels the day before. :rotfl: We didn't realize that our mousekeeper wasn't going to be Jose H for the rest of the week. The mousekeeper who took over never left their card with their name. I wish they had! More on that later!

When we got to Epcot we went on Test Track and Mission Space again (this time I was a navigator the DF was the pilot I think.) We stopped at the booth on the way out and made a postcard from space to send to our friends and family. We sent it to ourselves so that we could go in later and send it to everyone else we want to (I had my laptop with me for the trip) The postcard from space was very cute!!! I would recommend everyone stop by and check this out. It has sound and it takes your photo right there and puts in on the card you choose. It's really cute and it's free!!!! :thumbsup2 :mickeyjum

We did the Figment ride where I got this HM. I saw a few others but didn't get them on film with my camera. (We went back on a second time later in the week and I video taped it) I submitted this one to Steven Barrett for consideration. He's going to check into it. I also submitted one to him that I saw at Saratoga Springs. It's on his website now. :thumbsup2 I submitted another one from Jungle Cruise to him that he's going to check out as well.

What do you guys think? It's blurry cuz we were moving, but when you see it in person, it does look like a good HM. It's in the golden, glittery circles. See it?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6770_00.jpg

Here's another HM on the way out of the Figment ride. It's between the I & the M.

We were going to stop and see Honey I Shrunk the Audience, but we had just missed a show and didn't want to wait around for the next one so we headed for World Showcase.

I stopped and picked up a passport kit to get signed and stamped around World Showcase. I had done this several years ago with my DS21 when we went to WDW several years ago. I thought it would be fun to do again, so we did.

We visited Mexico and did El Rio Del Tiempo twice. We had a boat all to ourselves and there was no line, so the CM let us stay on again with out getting out and reboarding. The first time I filmed the entire ride, the second time I wanted to photogragh the HM clay pots. So I did:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6782_00.jpg

I got my passport signed and stamped and set off for Norway!

We went into the Stave Church and I found a HM that wasn't listed in the book!!! It was an OMG!! moment! (I have since found it on the HM website, but I thought I discovered an unknown one. Oh well)

Yes GM!!! The DF spotted you and your mom coming through the lobby that night - he poked me (I was taking pictures of Elliot I think) and said there's that lady you saw the other day and her mother! And I looked past Elliot and I swear you were kinda dancing through the lobby! :rotfl: I haven't gotten to that in my TR yet, but you're in my notes!! I was thinking maybe you'd go to your room and come back. The crowd that night at his show was a riot! A bunch of women who took over and were very rowdy and hysterical!! It was so much fun!!!

I still have a few days to go with my TR. Not sure I'll get any done tonight. This cold has me feeling very sleepy and I've had a really bad headache for days. I have to go to work tomorrow because after 2 sick days in a row we need to come in with a doctor's note and I can't see spending a $15 copay at the dr's office for them to tell me I have a cold.

Speaking of cold, it's been very cold in CT these past few days. I sure miss that hot Florida sun!!! Brr!!!! I hate cold and winter!

I probably was dancing through the lobby! When I'm in Disney, I tend to do crazy things!

I am sooooo sorry about your cold. This past Thurs-Mon. was ROUGH on me. You know how taking a shower (if you have the energy) takes EVERYTHING out of you, and you end up sleeping to recover? Well that was me! I would be so excited just to be able to shower AND dress myself without feeling dizzy. Sorry you have to go to work. I KNOW EXACTLY how you feel about going back. I just prayed and asked God to help me get through my shift, and I made it. So please hang in there, and try not to be too sad. I'm pulling for you!!! And don't post tomorrow! YES!!! I know the feeling...the dizziness. Usually when I feel sick a shower helps but not with this cold! I'm gonna go to work tomorrow and if I don't feel good, I'm just going to leave.

I just didn't have the energy to post more TR today. I spent hours reading everything else on the Disboards, though. Reading doesn't take half as much energy!

Anyways, thanks for the advice - coming home from work, eating, taking medicine and sleeping sounds like a plan to me!!

Rest up and get rid of that cold - then get right back here and finish up this TR!!

LOL! Next time we book ourselves into POFQ my first request will be a room in Jose H's building! :goodvibes :rotfl:

It's definitely a lot of fun to look for HM's. It's much easier when the parks aren't so crowded. Sometimes we'll be half way through a ride and I'll be like DOH! I forgot to photograph one of them!

I'm hoping to get more TR done later this evening. It seems today like my cold has started all over again. But since I don't have to work tomorrow, I can stay up tonight and get the TR worked on and then just sleep in.

Thanks for all the kind words. I can't wait to get going on it again!

Day 6 continued...(finally!)

Ok so while in Norway we have to ride Maelstrom, too, of course. (Has anyone ever stayed for the movie after the viking ship ride? I never have)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/100_6787.jpg

As we're boarding I took a picture of the HM - one of the vikings is wearing mouse ears. I took the HM on the flight attendants shirt, too, but it came out blurry so I won't post it.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6790_00.jpg

We visited China, then Germany, then Italy, then American Adventure (each time stopping to have my passport signed and stamped.)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/100_6792_00.jpg

I'm not sure who this princess was (?)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/100_6800_00.jpg

Then we stopped at Japan so I could go shopping at Mitsukoshi - I LOVE shopping there!! DF hates shopping, so I don't do as much as I do when I'm there with my mother, but I was sure to buy a couple things I HAVE to get when at Epcot. The Botan Rice Candy and the latest Hello Kitty stuffed animal for myself and one of my sisters (whenever either of us goes to WDW it's customary to bring back the latest Hello Kitty for both of us) This time the latest one was a too cute for words angel Hello Kitty.

WOO HOO!! The Hello Kitty section!!!! (and some guy wondering what I was excitedly taking a picture of!) You can see the angel HK's on the shelf!!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6804_00-1.jpg

Not far from the Hello Kitty corner, there were 2 girls doing calligraphy at a table. You give them your name or a word and they write it out in Japanese calligraphy writing and then in English at the bottom and let you have the paper for free. It's very cute! I'm going to stick mine in a small frame with dried flowers or something.

Whenever I am at Epcot and in Mitsukoshi, it POURS out. This time was no exception. Unfortunately, we had to RUSH through World Showcase cuz we had ressies at O'hana's that night. Next year I want to spend alllll day checking out all of the lands - details, artwork, etc.

Anyway, we grab our umbrellas and head on to Morocco. I get my passport signed and stamped (I love how they write right to left instead of left to right like we do.) Of course I had to photograph the infamous Morocco brass plate not-so-Hidden HM on the green door

And then we took pictures with 2 princesses that I am embarassed to say I have NO clue who they were. But, they were standing there looking beautfiul and no one was around, so we went and took pictures with them. I'm sparing you those pictures because our clothes were wet, our hair, our face - not great pictures! LOL!

It was on to France (I'm determined one of these trips to try those French pastries everyone tells me are to die for!), United Kingdom and Canada.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/100_6823_00.jpg

For some reason, whenever I go to Epcot and visit UK, I HAVE to photograph this phone booth. I'm not sure why. ?

Not crazy about this one, but it's in the HM book:

Not sure who these bears were (shame on me!)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/100_6849_00.jpg

Speaking of beers, we grabbed a table at Rose and Crown and had a couple beers.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/100_6829_00.jpg

Here's the view from our table.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6848_00-1.jpg

At the next table to our right was a group of about 10 college kids that were incredibly drunk. I'm REALLY surprised the bartenders kept serving them to this level of intoxication. They were loud, obnoxious, slurring their words, falling over, laughing, etc. They were funny, but pathetic and disturbing. They were bragging about how much beer they had and how drunk they were. Who goes to WDW to drink and pass out?! Then this couple with a very young baby came in and bellied up to the bar with a couple beers and they were taking the baby's picture at the bar and when DF said something jokingly about that, they said YEAH we're taking this to show (I forget which one's parents') but apparently as a joke. The place was really crowded so when we were ready to leave, we called the couple with the baby over so they could commandeer our table before someone else grabbed it. We probably could have gotten money for our table!! LOL!

We left there and then went to Innoventions West and got our complimentary Disney Chase Visa 5x7 picture taken (we made it just in time!) What's funny is, when the CM brought us to the back to take our picture, all of the characters were sitting around and she comes in and claps her hands and says come on everyone!! Lets go! It was cute to see them spring up and run over. It was Mickey, Donald and Pluto. They also took our picture with my camera, too.

We took the bus back to our hotel and this was the longest wait we had for a bus in the entire week we stayed. There was a guest in a wheelchair attempting to get off the bus and the wheelchair lift wasn't working properly (this would be the 2nd or 3rd time all week a bus had a malfunction that required fixing) The bus driver tried propping everything under it until it finally leveled out enough to lower so the guest could get off.

I had a huge blister under one of my toes so we went back to the hotel and I fixed up my foot. We stopped by the lobby and talked to Elliot for a while, who was setting up his equipment for the show that night. I had a Margarita in a can that DF bought the day we arrived and DF had a beer.

We took the bus to MK to see SpectroMagic and even though it was 7:30 when we got there, we found a great viewing spot up by the railing of the train station. I filmed the entire show. It was a perfect view because we were looking down on the parade and saw it approaching us from the front, and then the side, too.

We took the monorail to the Polynesian to hang out before our 9:40 pm ressie at O'hana's. The DF went to the Tambu Lounge and had a beer at the bar while I went shopping and photographed the HM on the first floor.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6859-1.jpg

They buzzed our little beeper thingie at 9:10 so we were able to get seated 1/2 hr early. At O'hana's, everyone working there refers to you as "cousin." Wishes was still going on so they seated us in a cozy little table by the window, however, DF noticed that it was very dark, and the only table in there that didn't have a light over it (again, he has night blindness.) So, we asked to be moved, which they did with no problem. We couldn't see the fireworks or castle anymore, but oh well. DF wanted to be able to see what he was eating! When they seat you they ask you to turn and say hello to your cousins seated around you. LOL!! So we said aloha to our cousins around us! :confused3 :rotfl:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6870-1.jpg

I mentioned to our server (Marina) my special vegetarian/seafood meal and she sent Chef Alfanso over. I told him about my conversation with Chef Kim a couple days earlier and Alfanso was offering what he'd like to bring me for dinner. He suggested getting fish and rice from Kona's and bringing that to me along with the veggies and potatoes that the dinner already came with. In the meantime, Kim saw us and came right over to our table. So, we had TWO chef's at our table discussing my meal!! Marina came over and asked who we knew to get TWO chef's to our table! Alfanso and Kim started to jokingly bicker about what my meal was going to consist of. Kim was saying he already told me a couple days ago that he'd bring me veggie spring rolls with dipping sauces, lo mein noodles with miso sauce, grilled veggies and tofu. Alfanso said he wanted to bring me Mahi from Kona's and serve it over rice. So Kim said they'd bring me the Mahi Mahi, lo mein noodles in miso sauce, rice, veggies, spring rolls and the shrimp, salad and potatoes the meal already came with.

First they brought out a bowl of excellent greens with honey-lime dressing - it was sooooooooooooo good!!! We got fried noodles and dips that both me and DF loved!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6860.jpg

Then they brought out an order of veggie spring rolls with dipping sauce that were awesome!!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6862-1.jpg

Next was a bowl of huge shrimp....but the DF and I didn't end up eating them because...I should warn everyone....not only aren't they peeled but they are not deveined either. YUCK! It took me years to get past the way shrimp looks enough to be able to eat one, but having to dig my fingers through the sauce they come in and peel it and see the black vein thing. It turned my stomach, so we didn't eat those.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6863_00-1.jpg

Marina came out to see how we were doing and we told her how much we loved the honey-lime dressing on the greens, so she went into the kitchen and came back with a printout of the recipe for us to take home!! That was so nice of her!! I will definitely be making a batch of honey-lime dressing at home!

All throughout dinner various servers kept bringing meat on skewers by the table for the DF. He finally had to ask them to stop because he couldn't eat anymore. He really liked it.

This was chicken (BBQ I guess) that they brought out for DF

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6865_00-1.jpg

The potatoes were to die for!! They were so rich and creamy! Alfanso said they are made with heavy cream and I forgot what type of cheese he said, but he said there's a lot of it in there.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6867_00-1.jpg

I LOVED my food!! I had poached Mahi Mahi over lo mein noodles in miso sauce with grilled veggies along with tofu that tasted either fried or baked.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6861_00-1.jpg

I got a plate of grilled veggies on the side and so did DF with his meal.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6868-1.jpg

The Mahi Mahi with my meal was a HUGE piece of fish that I could not finish! I also had an excellent beer with my dinner. It was made by Kona Brewing and it was the Fire Rock Pale Ale. It reminded me of the beer I brew myself at home and it reminded me of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (which is the recipe I use to brew my own beer at home....I've won brewing contests with this recipe!)

The dessert was also delicious!!! It was pineapple bread pudding with a warm banana foster sauce and a huge scoop of delicious rich vanilla ice cream. They pour the warm banana foster sauce over the dessert when they deliver it to your table. I had a coffee with it and it was sooooo good. Even though I was so full from dinner, I HAD to at least TRY the dessert. The DF was too full to even taste it!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6871_00-1.jpg

We saw the coconut races and they were absolutely hysterical!! Just watching the kids push coconuts around with brooms around the dining area, under tables and chairs was a riot. Then I hear an announcment that says anyone 13 and older had to use the stick end of the broom. :rotfl2:

I had a WONDERFUL time at O'hana's and plan to come back for dinner everytime we visit WDW. The atmosphere was gorgeous, the service was impeccable, the food was delicious, the attentiveness of the chefs was incredible. As we were walking out, Kim saw us and called us over to shake our hands and say good night. :goodvibes

Getting back to POFQ at that hour was a bit of a hassle. We took the monorail to Grand Floridian, then took a bus to Downtown Disney, then took a bus to POFQ. While we were sitting outside waiting for the bus at GF, we saw a HUGE cockroach (uh, sorry Palmetto bug...) darting around near our feet. UGH! YIKES!! The GF has roaches??!! GASP!!

We got to DD and had a looooooong wait for a bus and for some reason, the driver stopped at POR first, then POFQ. It took well over an hour to finally get back "home" to our hotel. It was too late for coffee and we had missed Elliot's show, too. So, that was it for Day 6....sadly, this means only one more full day at WDW left. :sad2:

Thanks, GM! Well, my park pictures lately aren't so great or detailed cuz over the several times I've been there, I've taken so many pictures of everything that there's not really anything "left" for me to photograph that I haven't already done. But every year I take at least a few, just to put in the photo album. Each time I go to Disney World I purchase that years' special dated photo album from World of Disney to put the pictures in. For my last two trips, I've taken digital and I've taken so many (esp. last year) that I haven't gotten them all sent to Snapfish for printing so I can put them in my last years photo album. So I still have to do that.

Some day I want to get all of my 35mm pictures I've taken at Disney (several thousand collectively!) scanned onto CDs and my hard drive.

I should be doing housework, too, but I'm going to go easy today cuz I still feel sick. I have such a sore throat!!

But I will probably do some more TR later on so I can get it finished up. I can't wait to start looking over all the info about the Year of a Million Wishes that's coming up starting officially tomorrow. It sounds really fun! I hope we get to go next year. That will basically depend on the airlines staying nice and low and Disney offering a moderates code again. Though I would really love to stay at Polynesian one trip. Maybe I can start devising ways to come up with some extra cash so we can justify staying there instead of POFQ-but then again, I know wherever else I'd stay, I'd miss FQ.

Oh the quandry of it all. LOL!

The other bear was Koda. He's from Brother Bear too. As far as the princesses, I know Jasmine hangs out in Morocco a lot... or it could have been Belle and Aurora (Sleeping Beauty). When I was at EPCOT last they were doing meet-and-greets right between France and Morocco. Was one in a blue dress with an apron and the other in a pink dress wearing a tiara?

Yes! Those were the two!! One had a blue dress with an apron and the other had a pink dress with a tiara. We were trying to get in out of the rain as well as finding the person to sign and stamp my passport, and we kinda walked into a room with these two characters and a CM and they assumed we came in cuz we wanted pictures. We would have felt silly saying, "Yes, but who are you?" So we just took pictures, thanked them and left. :confused3 LOL!

I guess I need to brush up on my Disney characters, but you never really see them around the parks too much and if you do they're either leaving or have a huge line already. I think I'm going to start a photo collection of Disney characters from the back because:

1.) That's how I usually see them, so I can learn to identify them that way.
2.) How many other people think to take characters from the back? So, it
would be a more unique photo collection
------ and --------
3.) You have to admit ... Chip and Dale look adorable from behind scurrying
away don't you think?!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6657_00.jpg

The other type of photo collection I can start is one of the Disney characters with strangers. I have a lot of those, too, because if I waited in line for my turn with the characters, I'd never make it up to where they were before they had to leave. So I can either walk by and not get a picture or take a picture with strangers. I've started doing that.

In this first one I not only have Minnie from the back, but strangers as well!!

Well, since the past 2 years Gmax has gone to Florida the same week (just about) that we did, maybe we'll get to meet both of you next year!! My DF is talking about going to Key West INSTEAD of Disney next year. I don't know about this!! He's always really wanted to go to Key West, but I don't know about replacing Disney with it.

Thank you for the compliments on my pictures! I think I'm going to attempt to get my TR going again. I've been sick the past week or so - I think it's finally starting to break!

Okay onto Day 7, Friday.

Did my usual routine on Friday - got up early, showered, got dressed went for coffee and Diet Coke. When DF was ready we took a walk to POR to eat at Boatwright's. I had pancakes with eggs and replaced the meat with grits. It was a huge portion of grits. The DF had pancakes with eggs and ham. He really liked his breakfast, too.

We walked back to the room and left the tip envelope (no towel art from us this time - we had pretty much unloaded all of our tons of towels the day before with the towel of terror we had built.)

We took a bus to AK so we could go on EE. We were able to walk right on with just about a ten minute wait. I was actually hoping the wait would be a little longer so we could look around for HM's. There HAS to be some there!! EE is now my favorite WDW ride!!! We only got to ride once, but it was great!! There was a pretty long line when we got off, and we had other plans for the rest of the day, so we decided not to wait for a 2nd ride.

We stopped to hear some of the performers. Here's a couple pictures:

We went on Dinosaur again and then got a bus to Epcot. We planned to visit three parks today plus shopping and catch Elliot's show, so we were kinda rushing along all day.

When we got to Epcot, I took this picture because I remember Gmax commenting how last year the trees and shrubs needed to be trimmed. That was the case again this year. :sad2:

I was planning on getting more written, but I'm sleepy. I will continue in the morning!

Thanks for reading!! Sorry it's taking so long!! :wave2:

Okay more of Day 7!!

When we got to Epcot we went on Soarin' (my 2nd favorite WDW ride!) and then went on the Figment ride again so this time I could video tape it and attempt to catch the HM's I noticed. I submitted a few HM's to Steven Barrett and one of the Figment ones he had already "debunked" and the other one I sent, he logged it and will research it to see if it really was a HM. I think it is. What do you guys think? It's kinda fuzzy here (it was dark there) but it is a gold, glittery what appears to be a HM.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6770_00.jpg

This is the HM on the way out of the Figment ride. It's between the I and the M.

Once again we missed Honey I Shrunk the Audience because a show had just started and we didn't have time to wait for the next one.

As we were walking around, this monorail stopped here for a while. I took advantage and got some pictures.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6892.jpg

We took the monorails over to MK to finish up what we hadn't seen yet. We headed for Adventureland and went on the Jungle Cruise. It's always fun because of the corny jokes the CMs barrage you with. We were almost the only 2 people going out on our cruise, but they waited around long enough that a few others arrived, too. I checked to see if the HM I discovered last year was still there, and it was. And it isn't mentioned on Steven Barrett's site or in his book yet, so I submitted that one to him, too, and he's going to research it. Now this one I *KNOW* is a HM -- it's way too obvious. I can't believe no one else has seen it and submitted it to SB yet. You can't really see it unless the JC is busy and you're waiting in a long line. And if you can only really see what it is if you are looking directly down at it.

Here's a few pictures from the JC.

Then next we went into (drum roll, please!) The Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/More%20WDW%20photos/100_3065.jpg

All together now.... "In the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room, in the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room, all the birds sing words and the flowers croon in the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room!!" :dance3: I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this corny show even if it WAS better before they changed it twice. I saw three different versions of the show and still prefer the original one the most. But I still get a kick outta this. I have all of the Disney parks music CDs and this is always a favorite one to listen to!!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/beagle.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Tiki%20Beagle/greenplaidsweater.jpg

I bought her minnie mouse ears while at Disney but we haven't had a chance to take her picture with them on yet. I was hoping to have done that by now so that I could post it.

Next we did the Country Bear Jamboree...it's kinda corny too, but it's entertaining!

Next we went to Frontierland and played the Frontierland Shootin' Arcade. I love shooting galleries!! This cactus sports a HM.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6938.jpg

Next we planned on taking the monorail to GF so I could find a few souveniers. I remembered during one of my visits to WDW when I stayed at GF the shopping was excellent!

As we passed the fire station store on Main Street, I decided to go in and see what types of pet gifts they had and waaaay in the back noticed a rack with stuffed Mickeys dressed like a police officer. I work at a police department and thought these would be cute to bring back to a few of the girls back at the office, so I got some for them and one for me, of course.

We took the monorail to GF. The shop I was looking for was no longer there and I didn't end up buying anything from any of the stores. It was still fun to hear the band playing and absorb the atmosphere.

*I need to continue this on the next page because when I attempted to submit this, it told me I had too many images.*

We got the monorail back to MK (or was it the TTC?) and then took a bus back to POFQ. I stopped by the gift shop to pick up my packages from shopping at the parks the day before.

We enter our room and find this:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6746.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6750.jpg

Towel bunnies!!!!! :goodvibes I'm not sure who it was that left these, but it wasn't Jose. The person who took over for him never left their card. There were different "touches" around the room, too, different from what Jose had been doing. There was a wash cloth folded fancy over the sink faucets (I know I photographed this but don't seem to have the photo) and a little bow left by the tub, etc. These little bunnies are too cute for words! I pain stakingly packed them in my luggage when it was time for us to leave. They are now on my dresser in the bedroom! I still can't believe all of the towel art we got this time!!

I went to the food court for coffee and we relaxed in the room for a while.

Around 9:00p.m. we headed down to the Scat Cat Lounge to catch Elliott's show. I filmed a lot of his show that night. What was really cute and I wish I had gotten a picture of, was when Elliott was singing "My Girl" for some reason all of the CM's working in the food court were lined up near the food court door that leads to where Scat Cat Lounge is and they were listening to the song. It looked really cute. Then just before midnight we went to the food court to see what we could find to eat. We ended up ordering a very small pizza and an order of 3 bread sticks with dipping sauce and took them back to our room. The pizza and bread sticks were very good and just enough...especially for that time of night. I relaxed with my coffee and did a little packing and eventually went to sleep. I was bummed out because I knew that this was the last night sleeping at WDW. :(

So that was Day 7 - Friday.

Thanks for reading my TR!! I'll add more tomorrow! One more day to go. :wave2:

All right...Day 8. Saturday. The day we head home.

I really overslept today (can you blame me?!) I didn't get up until 8:00 a.m. I went for coffee and Diet Coke and once the DF was dressed we went for breakfast in the food court. I had a waffle with a side of grits and DF had the egg and cheese sandwich with bacon on a croissant.

We went back to our room and did the rest of our packing. I had to run down to the gift shop to buy another tote bag because everything wouldn't fit back into the luggage (souveniers!) Once we were finished, I left my last tip envelope for mousekeeping and we called the desk to have some help taking our luggage to the storage area. In the meantime, I wrote a longer thank you note for mousekeeping for their fun service and for the towel art and bunnies and DF left a note for them to help themselves to the left over bottles of spring water we had (about 10 bottles) that were in our fridge.

For those of you who bring notebook computers like I did, if you take them to the registration desk in the lobby, they tag them for you and put them in a locked room behind the front desk. That's safer than just checking it with your regular luggage. They said that is safe, too, but you know how people are with laptops.

Despite having purchased the 8 day park hoppers, we decided not to go to any of the parks today because when you take ME they end up picking you up about three hours prior to your flight time. It would have just been rushing around and then being sweaty and having to fly home that way. So, like we did last year on our last day, we took the boat from POFQ to DD. We couldn't understand why at the boat dock the area where you exit the boats has this nice covered sitting area with ceiling fans but the area where you wait to board the boats is just out in the blazing sun with a couple of umbrellas to stand under. Why would you need to sit when you exit the boat?!

Once at DD I headed for World of Disney. I had some serious shopping to do and HM's to find. I was on a mission. The DF went off to do some shopping so we split up and kept in contact via cell phones.

Here's a HM on the outside of the building

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6978.jpg

In the high ceilinged central room, I photographed a bunch of the HMs found there. Here they are.

In this one, you can see two of them. One is on Tweedle Dee's apron, the other is on a flag. These count as two separate HM's.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6965-1.jpg

In this mural, there is a HM over the chinese theatre doors.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6968-2.jpg

On the walls in the central Genie Room, HMs are found on the compass paintings and also on the red wallpaper below it. You have to stand at a certain angle to see the HMs on the wallpaper. I managed to catch them on film. The compass and wallpaper HM's count as 2 separate HM's.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6970-1.jpg

On the walls in the Genie Room, there are antique looking maps on wood panels painted to look like tapestries. They have land masses resembling the side profiles of Mickey, Goofy, Pooh and Donald Duck.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6973-1.jpg

On the wall in the Villain Room, there's a HM on Cruella DeVille's left wrist.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6960-1.jpg

There used to be a HM on a mural in the Alice in Wonderland room, it was the three of clubs on a playing card, but the Alice in Wonderland room was replaced by the candy room, so that mural isn't there anymore. A lost HM. :sad2:

I got in line and paid for all of my stuff. I used my Chase Disney card and got the discount and realized a few days earlier when I shopped here, they forgot to take the discount off. The cashier was going to adjust it for me, but I didn't have the receipt with me. I did call Chase a few days later after I got home, and they went ahead and credited my discount right away.

I called the DF and he was over by the dock having a frozen drink. So I headed that way.

I think I took this HM outside Team Mickey Athletic Club.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6952-1.jpg

I had a frozen margarita and the DF got a beer and I took these two pictures of what are supposed to be HM's, but to me they just seem like part of the design of the chair and railing. Not really hidden.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6980-1.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6982.jpg

We wanted to check out Raglan, so we headed alllll the way over there (well it seems farther when it's really hot and humid out and you're carrying bags...including candy!) It was 2:30 and even though they are open for lunch and dinner, they weren't open yet. I did at least take a picture.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/JuanitaCrash/Disney%202006/100_6983.jpg

We walked around a little more and did a little shopping. We went into Disney Tails where I bought Tiki her Minnie Mouse ears and then wandered into Pooh Corner. I just happened to notice in a clear space of the store, where no people were, a crisp new twenty dollar bill lying in plain view on the floor. I looked around and didn't see anybody in the immediate area and figured more than likely a kid dropped it because most adults wouldn't be walking around shopping holding their money. I figured if I said something out loud, anyone could claim it, the same if I handed it in to the cashier. So I figured I'd walk around a little and see if anyone appeared to be looking around for money they lost. Sure enough, within 5 minutes, I hear a mom telling her son (loudly) "I gave you twenty dollars to spend and you lost it!" We walked over and I held up the twenty and their faces lit up!! I said I was walking around waiting to see if I can find the owner and sure enough! They kept thanking me. :goodvibes That was my warm fuzzy good deed of the day!! I've lost money, jewelry, etc in the past and wasn't fortunate enough to ever get it back - so I know how it feels to have lost something and how great it would feel to actually get it back!!!

I'm almost done with my TR, but I have to run out right now. Hopefully I can finish later tonight!

Thanks for reading so far!! :sunny:

Raglan is an Irish Pub and Restaurant over in Pleasure Island. We figured since they were open for lunch and dinner, they'd be open at 2:30. :confused3 Hmm...seems by the time they open for lunch it's almost time for dinner, no? LOL.

WOW! I am sooooo behind! I can't over how many hidden Mickeys you saw! Love the pics!

Gmax!! I know it!!! I'm extremely behind in everything here, too. I haven't read all of your TR yet or your mom's. I have been so busy lately and sick for the longest time (finally getting over it!) and VERY SLEEPY. I think I'm finally catching up on my sleep deficit. The past few days at work I have felt so awake and alert. Makes me realize how tired I've been for a long time. To me getting a lot of sleep is 5-6 hours a night. I usually only get 3 or 4. It's midnight right now, but we ate a late dinner tonight and I can't go right to bed after eating, so I'm going to attempt to finally finish my TR.

Okay lets see...I left off with us at the Marketplace having frozen drinks. When we finished we walked over to Capn Jacks and we each had a beer.

We took the boat back to the hotel and went and sat at Mardi Grogs by the pool. Kind of our last hoorah and we toasted another great week at a WDW! I had a frozen margarita and the DF had a beer.

We went and got my laptop from the desk and waited outside for our ME bus ride back to MCO. Another couple and their son from Manchester, CT were waiting for the bus, too. They were on the same flight as us. Our ME bus was late picking us up. We boarded after 5:00 p.m. I think we were waiting at least 40 minutes and the bus was pretty crowded already. We stopped at Old Key West resort and then on to the airport. We got checked in and stopped for lunch at a bar in the airport (Island Oasis?) It was food from next door at Sbarro's. The DF had chicken parm with ziti and a breadstick and I had a slice of the pan crust veggie delight. Not a bad lunch.

We arrived at our gate just as they were calling the "A" boarding pass holders to board.

Our plane was full and at the last minute a dad and his daughter (she was about 10 I'd say) got on and couldn't find 2 seats together so he sat in the seat in front of us and his daughter sat with us. She was very nice, friendly and polite. We talked about our vacations all the way back to CT! We were poking fun at her dad cuz he seemed to be chicken to go on some of the rides (he looked like a burly construction worker-type.) LOL!

I took a couple of pictures of the sunset. It was a wonderful ending to a wonderful vacation!! :goodvibes:

Taaa daaa!!!!! The end!!! That concludes my TR!! :cheer2:

A few days ago the DF was online researching WDW prices for February, etc. LOL!! He's hooked!!! :dance3:

Thanks for reading my TR!! I had a lot of fun writing it even if it was a lot of work and took forever to get finished. I can't wait to go back and write my next one!!! All of you Disboarders are the best!!! :thumbsup2

Great Trip Report, thank you so very much for taking the time to share it with all of us - I know from experience that it's a labor of love! :thumbsup2

Thanks, Viki!! Yes it is a labor of love! Lots of work, especially adding and resizing pictures (but Flock through photobucket takes all the work out of loading a ton of pics and it resizes them to your desired size as it's uploading. I wish I found flock sooner!) but it's a lot of fun to relive your vac here!

The thing I love about the DIS is I learn something new every day. Your pictures showed me things I didn't even know existed.

Wow you did a good deed with the $20, I would of never thought to wait around like you did.

I am going to move your TR to the completed boards. :thumbsup2 Thanks again for sharing your WDW trip with us.
