I have no idea what core micro means...I've never seen that before. In case you're interested Amazon is selling the Kingston 2GB sd card for $39.95.

I don't know either, but I wouldn't pay $49.99 when you can pay $39.99 (or less if you look around).

Buy.com has 2 Kingston 1 gig SD cards for $37.68 with free shipping.

Checking amazom.com again, they have the Kingston 2 gig for $38.99 with free shipping. Great deal!

"Core Micro" and "Sandisk" are both brands. They both make SD (Secure Digital) cards.

The first is a "Core Micro" SD card, not a "Core Micro Sandisk" SD card.

I've never heard of the "Core Micro" brand before. Sandisk is one of the biggest memory card brands.

Different models of cards have different performance characteristics. Rob Galbraith (http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/multi_page.asp?cid=6007) has charts showing the performance of various models of CD and SD cards with various cameras.

Wow! Thanks for answering my question before I could even ask it. I knew there had to be a diffence between all these memory cards(besides price).

I just got a 1 gig micro SD card for a GPS. Man-o-man is that tiny! It's thinner and smaller than a US dime. I'm in the process of loading street level maps of most of the US on it. Technology never ceases to amaze me.

How about this one. It's a 4gig for 1/2 the price of Bestbuy 2gig. I notice you're in Canada but I think Newegg ships there. Check

I have never ordered from Newegg before. Does anyone have any history with them? For this great price, I'd love to buy two.

Thanks for the info.

I've been ordering from NewEgg for years and years. They've always been excellent. They are one of the best online merchants.

I too have bought a zillion things from NewEgg (I build a lot of PCs) and they are top-notch.

The OCZ 2-gig card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820227155) is a slightly better deal than the 4-gig one, at $28 after $10 rebate. Both are 150x.
