Just got home from taking our DD to University for the first time, she's happy but think it's going to take us a while to get used to her living away!

Tomorrow my sister goes into hospital for brain surgery on Wednesday, :sad1: that is going to be a long day waiting for news :worried:
We will be taking care of my 5 year old nephew, dreading how he will cope not seeing his Mummy for a few weeks.

Can't believe this time last week we were in lovely hot Orlando, wish we could have stayed there!

Thanks everyone:grouphug:, I've been dreading this week for months, can't believe it's here.

Things seem to be going from bad to worse, just had to take our little dog to the vet, apparently he's scratched his cornea while in kennels, so we now have to put cream in twice a day! That will be fun ;)

I think we all have weeks like these. I have one coming up in a couple of weeks time....I'm dreading it :( I hope your week goes as well as it can. Best of luck to your sister for Wednesday; I hope she will be okay. I know for a fact that our two little westies wouldn't sit still for cream to be put on, so good luck!

Small update, I've been waiting seven hours for news about my sister, her DH rang at 2pm but she is still in theatre.:worried: Spent the morning reading trip reports to pass the time, jumping every time the phone rings.

Our DD is settling in well at Uni which is a relief :thumbsup2

Thank you everyone, having computer problems on top of everything else!

Good news my sister is doing really well :Pinkbounc , after eight hours in theatre her doctor told us he is pleased with how it went.

We finally got to see her at 8pm, when she was brought up to the HDU, all we wanted was to know she was ok and she spoke to us!! We were warned she might be unable to speak, swallow or be paraylized down one side but when she spoke it was the best thing ever!

It was Oct 04 when this nightmare began, so today it feels like we have woken up and the heavy weight has been lifted:love:
