Where should we stay?

We are looking to make our first trip home. DW and I have 4 year old twins. We are familiar with the home resort reservation restriction. Can anyone recommend which resort would best accomodate us? We are considering OKW. However several years ago we noticed that the lines from the parks were extremely long.

With 4 yo twins I would think that you would like to be close to MK for most of your stay, and for easy midday breaks. If that is the case, the answer would be VWL.

We have found the bus lines to OKW to be all right at the beginning and end of the day, but the middle of the day the buses don't seem to run back to the resort as often. We have not been there since "bus on demand". I am not even sure the are still doing that.

I would have to agree that if you plan to spend a lot of time at MK, then VWL would be good choice. We like to "get away" by staying at OKW and getting away from the hub-bub a little, but I have heard VWL is quiet too.

We love the boardwalk for it's convenience to EPCOT and Disney Studios. We've never had any problems going to Magic Kingdom either. On our MK days we take the bus to the MK then when we're done there, the monorail to EPCOT, wander around, then head home on the boat. We love it :-)

I'm not sure if they're still doing the bus-on-demand. However,
when we were there at the end of April, it worked great for us. We didn't take the bus all the time, but when we did, we had very little wait (0-5 mins) on the way home from the parks during the middle of the day to OKW
