Okay....
Dinner was different than expected.
One slice of toast with jam (very little) - 100 calories 0 grams of protein
One Soup at Hand - 100 calories 3 grams of protein
That only makes 550 calories - I'll need to eat more.
Took a walk 1.5 miles - so I've done about 5 miles today. Not enough - but I'm trying.

Wow lady...Christmas shopping?? That's just crazy!!! Dont you want to be out in the crowds in December like me? :rotfl:
Seriously though, way to be organized and ahead of the game. I actually did buy 2 gifts for DD7 today at work (we had a book fair) and I'm saving them for Christmas. The trick is to remember where I hide them until then!
What kind of protein shakes do you drink? I tried one kind that my nutritionist sold and I really didn't like it. I'd love to replace either breakfast or lunch with one.
Thanks and keep up the GREAT work! You're an inspiration! :thumbsup2

Hi Kim - The protein shakes that I love are World Wide Frosty Chocolate It has:
110 Calories
Fat 1 gram
Cholesterol 10mg
Sodium 170mg
Potassium 260mg
Total Carbs 5g
Fiber 3g
Sugar 1g
Protein 21g
NET CARBS 2grams
I get them at Trader Joe's for $1.69/can (11 oz). As you can see, I do love them and drink them everyday.
Christmas Shopping - I started because I got a bunch of Yankee Candle $10 off, $25 purchase coupons. So, I need to buy 5 teacher's aide gifts and thought that a Tart Burner, YC tarts and tea lights all wrapped up would make a nice gift. The $10 off $25 is very worth it. It cost me $8 a burner. I got the tarts off of ebay (in bulk) and went to Christmas Tree Shop for the tea lights. It comes out to about $12 a gift. But looks like a $25 gift.
I bought my son's teacher and the admin secretary a Coach wristlet.
I bought my husband a teak stool for his steam bath.
I bought an IHome Radio/Charger for my son's Nano. My son is 10 going on 11 soon.
I like doing most of the stuff early, so I get to relax and enjoy the holidays. Also, I do cooking and baking - so I need to allot time for that. We travel every weekend because DH is in Travel Hockey team. So, once October is in place, I have very little time to do all of this stuff.
I am hoping that I can wrap some of the stuff. I found the best place to store the stuff is under my bed. (The secret stuff). The other stuff I put in a closet in one large shopping bag.
My son is turning 11 in January and I am having 30 kids over for an indoor pool party. Trying to buy one nice "thank you for coming" gift to give the boys.
How about a water bottle with "1/21/96 - GREG 11" on it? Everyone could use a water bottle and most of the kids are sports kids.
Or, I could get them Abercrombie Hats (but now we're taking some $$$. Or, a tee shirt (but what kind)?
Well, food wise I was not as good as I would have liked.
I ate some trail mix and now I feel a bit nausea. I think nuts are too heavy for me.
However, I did fit into a pair of dress pants today that have not fit in years. The 35 lbs. are really starting to show themselves. My face is a bit thinner, but my bust, hips and waist are starting to form an :hourglass instead of a :) .
Lunch has to be light. Can't fit anything in my tummy.
Dinner - None. Going to meet a friend at Starbucks and order a Decaf Skim Latte - about 160 calories and 6 grams of protein. That's it.
So, my day (as planned) will be under 1,000 calories which is what I like.
I will not be able to walk as I like to, so keeping the caloric intake down withouth the :yay: is my only option for retension and reduction.
I'll check out your Wish Journal and see how you are doing....... :thumbsup2

Darn, we don't have a Trader Joes. But I'll look online to see if I can order them. How do you make the shakes? Do you just add water or skim milk and stir? Sorry for so many questions!!
You really are organized, aren't you?? Christmas purchases, your son's bday party in January. You're making me look REALLY bad!! :rotfl: One of these days I aspire to be organized. I really do.
You're a busy lady, and yet you still get in your healthy eating and walking. GREAT JOB!! :thumbsup2
Congrats on the AMAZING weight loss!!!! :cheer2: You are doing so well with your eating and exercise. What an inspiration!!! All that hard work and you're getting a head start on that Christmas shopping to boot! Keep up the AMAZING work!!!! :sunny:

I'm impressed! Just found this thread...you're doing great! I joined Weight Watchers about 2 months ago and have lost 12-1/2 pounds so far...according to them I need to lose another 55 to reach my "ideal" weight... :confused3 Going to be a long battle. Funny...it didn't take me long to gain the weight. Life's just not fair!!
I have WW smoothies in the morning for breakfast, but they only hold me over for a couple of hours...then I'm hungry all over again...try and drink a lot of water and do some walking, etc...
Well, good luck!!!

The shakes are premade. Just shake gently and pour! Viola! At $1.69 for 11 oz. it's a great snack or 1/2 meal.

Haven't weighed myself in a while and after the caloric and lack of exercise today, I think I will wait a bit.
