In a DEDICATED 2-Bedroom (at Old Key West), does the "studio" section still have the kitchenette area with the microwave & mini fridge?

No- the dedicated 2BR will have extra closet space in the 2nd BR, but no kitchenette and no exterior door (and no balcony).

This is true at all DVC resorts, none of the dedicated 2BR villas will have the kitchenette or exterior door.

We always try to get the dedicated 2bdrm. Huge closet as Doc said with a very large vanity area outside the bathroom door. If you want the Kitchenette, you have to request a "lock-off" 2bdrm. This consists of the standard 1bdrm with the studio attached.

In case you have little ones, that closet is where you'll find the high chair.

No.

Only dedicated studios and 1 bedrooms.

only lock off for 2-bedroom at BWV

All of the buildings have dedicated 2 bedrooms, mostly in the middle of the buildings. The studio/1 bedroom lockoffs are mostly on the ends of the buildings.
