I'm planning on visiting Islands of Adventure (Gasp!! How very un-Disney!!) on Monday, the 3rd of December, after the Boma meet and before our Teppenyaki and Candlelight reservations at 5:45 that evening. If anyone wants to tag along, you're more than welcome. Just let me know.

I have to go home. I've never been to IOA. I have to go home. I've never been to IOA. I have to go home. I've never been to IOA. I have to go home. I've never been to IOA. I have to go home. I've never been to IOA. I have to go home. I've never been to IOA. I have to go home. I've never been to IOA. I'm dizzy. I keep changing my departing time/date to later and later. Quit tempting me, Steve. :p

Steve,

That's definitely a possibility for me, (I had been thinking along those lines already) and I will be staying at the AKL. My plans should be firmed up by this weekend.

Also, glad your doctor has given you the go-ahead for the trip.

it depends on how much recovery time I need. LOL Can I let you know later like on the 2nd of Dec? How much are the tickets to IOA?

If only I could.. :(

I have to be back to work on the 3rd...

Maybe for next year we could do an IOA meet before or after DISCON.

Sure, that's fine Tammy. I believe tickets for all theme parks for a day are running somewhere in the $50 range. I'd be there just a short period of time (like 11-4:30 or so), but I think the crowds will be negligible during that time of year and we could get a lot done. The two or three times I've gone, most of the coasters have been walk-ons.

The last time Steve and I were there (10-8-2001), we walked
on to the Hulk three times within 45 minutes. This is the Malcolm
of his last trip report.

We had a blast, but one ride he may not have warned you about.
The log ride at 'Dudley Do-Right' warns 'you will get wet'. We both
got soooo wet our camara bags were wet all day. And we needed
additional clothes. Squishing is no fun when you have only started
the day.

I know you will have a good time at the convention, as Steve always
returns ready to go again.

Malcolm. :) Hello :) And Welcome to The DIS~~and a special warm welcome to the DIS-Con Board. :)

Steve, what a nice surprise that your friend Malcolm has graced us with his presence. :) :) :)

Malcolm, would you like to join us for DIS-Con? Or perhaps DIS-Con II? Or perhaps our DIS-Con Cruise in 2003? :) :) :)

Welcome Malcom!

Tia: hush up! Don't overwhelm the newcomer with so much information about our plans for DisCon till 2032. He might think we are:crazy:

Hey Steve: don't you want to delay this IOA trip a few days, let's say, to the 7th of dec.???? I am planning to spend the 3rd in Nassau:D :D :D

I am definitely going to IOA this time! It is 4 years since I 've been to Universal.

:o sorry, me and my blabbermouth. :o

;)

About IOA, I think I will have to pack and shop this day. I've never been, and it sounds like a grand plan, but I'll just have to wait 'til our next trip. :(

Ouch, these little 'casualties' really hurt. :( I hate it when I can't fit something in.

I called Steve after I made the post, I told him it hit me after I logged off the date was 10-01-2001, not 10-08-2001.

He reminded me I have been 'Calendarly Challenged' since our return. As I have messed up on several dates and appointments. I guess it is all part of 'Senior Moments'. Steve has got me hooked on this Disney thing and I have had a great time the three trips we have made together.

I am going to try to make an appearance to next years DISCON.

Dates Shmates! :D No biggy. ;) Disney has a way of making people forget 'real stuff' ;)

I'm glad to hear that Steve has recruited another DISNEY fantatic.....just can't have enough of us around, that' for sure. :D

I leave on December 2. :( Too bad, because you would have had the Universal expert with you. :)

I did suggest an off-site meet at Universal or Sea World, but the idea fell through.

Oh good grief! I forgot about shopping, Tia! But I think I'd rather go ride the Hulk. Maybe since the RNR Coaster meet never materialized, I'll shop then.

As our current itinerary goes, we'll be doing IOA/Universal on 11/25. We go home 11/1, so we'll miss your meet, but if anyone is going before DIUS-CON, let me know & we can arrange to meet. :D

Just wanted to let you guys know that AAA members can purchase Universal 2-park Annual Passes at AAA-South locations for $99.95 right now!

For AAA-South locations, go to http://www.aaasouth.com . There is one in Orlando and one in Kissimmee.

Malcolm! How cool that you've decided to join us here! I love it! :D Any friend of Steve's is a friend of mine! Welcome, welcome, welcome!! :) :)
**gulp**........um.........er..........I, sort of, ...........um...........have a confession to make. I've never ridden The Hulk! I've been too chicken. I get right up to the entrance and back down. I do want to try this ride, but my yellow streak gets the best of me every time. :(
I've ridden Dueling Dragons, twice now, and that one does make me ill. It messes with my head. I think it has something to do with the dangling feet. I can ride RnR with no problem, but anything where my feet swing out, makes me dizzy. (more than I am)
I do love Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls! That is the best wet ride! Bill & I have taken to wearing our poncho's on these wet rides. It helps to keep the undies a bit drier. I hate wet undies and wet feet in sneakers. ;) ;)

disneycub
11-10-2001, 06:26 PM
Undies?? Or have I asked that question before?

Hey Barb! The Hulk is a no-danglie-feet roller coaster. Hehehehehehe......

every thread someone alludes to undies. Just what kind of convention are we having? :D

BelleMom

:o  :o  :o  :o

Tammy: I really don't know what kind of convention is this. Isn't it incredible: in such little time we managed to gather so much intimate information on our fellow participants (Barry=no pants, Steve=no undies, etc...)! Imagine what we will have to tell after a full week!;)

How about no pants and no undies? :)
