OMG I CANNOT BELIVEVE THE ROOM IS A QUEST AND THE TABLES AND STUFF ARE A STUPID TOMORROWLAND GAME!!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING ANXIOUSLY FOR TRON TO COME OUT AND THEN THEY BLOW THIS AT US!!!!! I WANNA KILL VMK!!!!!!(or at least the idiot who decided we have to do stuff like this) i mean seriously some of us are not capable of completing tl games and quests. VMK Staff and QA's should consider those of us who can't get past the first level of fireworks or who cant kill a ship in pirates. yea i know what kind of curveball your all gonna throw at me-it makes the items rarer and it makes you work for stuff just like in real life. but still!!!

Yea, don't go stabbing the drives. Then we'll start stabbing you. Along with 5,000 other people.
But, yea. I don't see why we can't just buy the stuff.

I feel your pain....
I can no longer play Haunted Mansion I get through the first level ok and then when I enter the second level I am bumped back to the lobby. This is not a random thing but everytime I play HM.
Don't even get me started with fireworks I am so lucky if I can get to 50,000.
If I did not have help I would never get the things associated with this mini games.
I did not get the cat or the dog pin because of the mini games. I can live with out them but rooms and costumes are another story.

Do ou have a touchpad or a trackball? Personally, I think a touchpad works better for fireworks than a mouse.

I can see what you mean, shellybellypolo. They at least might let us buy something, even if it's at a high price! Some people don't have enough time to try and try at these quests all day long!
Do ou have a touchpad or a trackball? Personally, I think a touchpad works better for fireworks than a mouse.
I have a Touchpad, and I have an older computer with a Trackball. Personally, these are MUCH better to me than a mouse, for I can only get around 50,000 points if I am lucky with a mouse.
On a Touchpad or a Trackball.. 240,000! I just don't understand how you can use the left hand for the arrow keys, if your using a mouse.

if that is the case please tell me your trick of how this works easier. :confused3 I tried today and I got booted out of the first level with a score lower than I usually get on the first round. :lmao:
Though best bet if you have a laptop as I have always had to play vmk on invest in a reasonably decent mouse (you can get corded ones cheap and my wireless one was only about $25) I am sure those around me are glad I did since I used to yell at my computer trying to play the mini games with just the touch pad. :badpc:

Only way to get a change is to write to VMK at the contact link on the front page of VMK.

I don't see what the problem is. I think it's great that we are challenged to get what we want in VMK. That is what keeps this 16 year old playing :thumbsup2
So would you like some cheese with that wine?

Ouch! That must be tough. I wonder if the speed of the computer makes a diiference on some of the games. My daughter's computer is fast enough to play some of the games, but she can't play Pirates on hers because it takes her back to the Lobby. I've got an optical mouse and no matter how hard I try I keep getting the same score in Fireworks. The mouse just doesn't move fast enough sometimes.
I agree. I wish we could just purchase things. Unfortunately the only way to get all the credits needed to buy this stuff is to play the games. I don't have all day to play on VMK and I don't want my kid on all day either. I, too, had to give up on the Mickey Quest pin and the Dog pin because of the Pirates game. Couldn't we just have harder seeking quests or trivia or something like that? Or at least make the games reasonable for everyone. Isn't it good enough that I spent the credits and attempted to play Pirates?

The quest was way easy as long as you have the answers.
I have no clue about the Tomorrowland games. Hyper Space Mountain won't even load. I do OK on the the Blast one but they don't tell you how far you have to get to win the Tron things.
I think the suit is ugly too. I'll only buy it in case it's decently tradeable later on.

A challenge is one thing. But for some of use, these games are impossible. I tried and tried and tried and tried last year when they came out and I was only able to beat the maze one. The other two, I spent hour upon hour upon hour trying to beat them and finally gave up completely.
Now, here I am again trying my darnedest to beat them. And I am so frustrated and upset and beating the heck out of my desk just to win the Tron stuff.
This is not a challenge for me. It's endless frustration knowing that I will never win these items and that my Tron room will be sitting there empty because I have no Tron furniture to put in it.

Actually, computer speed has a lot to do with how the games play for you. I get a lot of jerkiness and stopping while playing due to the speed of my computer's processor as well as the memory on it.
You need lots of memory and a fast processor to play the games well.

Ok, I'm obviously not as vehement as most of the people in this thread, but I want to voice my annoyance with the Haunted Mansion part of Quests. The problem I have is that some people quit/dc partway through the game. To make matters worse, it doesn't count if you got the required Ghost Number, but the other person left.
As for the Fireworks portions, I can do rather easily. I have a laptop with a trackball (little eraser looking thing in the center of the keyboard, right?), and find that I can usually get around 220K if I'm lucky. I can get around 235K quite easily if I'm on my home computer with a mouse.
So, having a mouse does make all the difference really.
But I don't want to kill VMK. I don't even want them harmed. What angered me was how they handled the whole Pirates of the Caribbean 2 debacle. It disgusted me how little they did for the movie. They did not release a Black Pearl Room like we speculated. They did not release a costume to the public (via Quest or Shop). They just assumed we'd plug in 5,000 codes, then later make sure we went through the five minutes to get the code, rather than use a Code Generator.
Tell me, class, what 5,000 times 5 is? 25,000 minutes? 17 days of entering in codes for the full 24 hours.
I sure hope, for my sanity's sake, that a new Pirate costume is on its way come October.

Exactly! It should count even if they leave. It's not your fault they left! I've had this happen numerous times. Tonight I started a game with 4 people. One left right after starting, another left halfway through the first round. The second round ended with me having way more ghosts than the other person. So, when the second round started, the one other person left in the game was gone. I had my required ghosts, but it didn't count. :sad2:

I disagree.
I know that Yavn and his staff read the DIS everyday and I think as long as we are not belittling or rude and describe the problems we as players are having and suggest solutions that they do listen.
They may not implement everything we would like them to to but they do listen and consider our comments.

Which games give you Tron clothes? I am confused. I don't get to the VMK every day so I really rely on these boards to keep me up-to-date. But, sometimes I am confused beyond words! :confused3 :teeth:

What bugs me is that the same few people can beat the arcade games. They bring on the mules so they have rooms full of stuff. Then, they want your first born child in a trade. I pretty much have no chance on the Tron furniture.

No game gives you the Tron clothes they have to be purchased at the InnerSpace Shop(old StarTraders) and you must have the space suit magic pin to get there.
The directions to the InnerSpace shop are in the guide.

i dont have a problem with pirates although it does get slow and freeze up at times when there are three players or more on each team and im lucky if im still alive but i usually am and when it gets down to two players or less on each team then it gets better but im pretty good at pirates so i dont have a problem with it.
now fireworks i have a huge problem with. i dont get past level two very often and sometimes i get booted after level one. rarer than green flips i get past level three but the fireworks score is a little more reasonable for me than it ever was and fireworks is the reason i didnt even try getting the cats, dogs, mickey or any of the quest pins and i gave up doing quests and dont even try anymore but ill try on this one. the reason i have the mountain pin is bc someone traded it to me
EDIT: woot 500th post!!
