I actually can't stay in the store too long :( It bothers me after awhile....how sad is that :(

It's so crazythat you say that - My sister has worked at Yankee Candle's all over the US for years - there is a distinctive "smell" that she and her belongings have after working in the YC Stores for so long. Can be over powering to those who are not used to it. People ask her all the time what perfume it is that she is wearing after leaving work; she just laughs.... After she has visited with us or whatevr, they always say, "I can still smell Auntie"! :wizard:

On another note - the managers and store clerks often complain of the husbands passing gas in the stores while shoping with their wives... They think no one can smell "it"... well the store workers can !!! I wonder if it was my husband they are complaining about??? :confused3 HA HA

But I can certainly agree that the smell of all the scents are overpowering - coffee beans or no coffe beans! Just thought I would share a little amusing info .... :wave:

LOL...my funny story (well kind of ;) ).
My DH works rigth by the mall that has the store (we live about 45 minutes away).
So when I need something, I send him over. He is allergic....so he stands outside the store, tells the clerk what he wants and when it is all rung up, he runs in (holding his breath as long as he can) to get it and pay :love: I don't ask him to do it very often...besides I would rather go myself anyway ;)

Hi everyone

I am back from two weeks at WDW. It was very nice....the greatest part was spending alot of time with my niece who works for DVC. :cheer2: Plus, it was my first stay at the DVC studios: Saratoga Springs and Beach Club.

I received one of my packages: from Johnie - Pooh

large jar candle in cinnamon vanilla (two of my favorite scents AND they're combined :love: )

and a car jar in vanilla

Thanks so very much. Haven't tried them yet-to be honest they are buried in my kitchen uner all the STUFF :rotfl: that I haven't put away from WDW. I did get the laundry done and suitcases emptied (onto the kitchen counters :banana: )

Some spider rings and a big plastic spider (dd says we should put this in bed for dh to find. He is very afraid of spiders.)
Pumpkin earings (dd claimed)
Wicked chimestery candy (dd again)
Metal witch decoration. (I love this)

Now on to the YC stuff:
Car Jar- French Vanilla (I was just thinking that I needed a new one.)
Small Jar - Mom's Apple Pie (Smells wonderful)
Stripes Jar Candle - Mac/Rasp Cream/Vinyard (these are some of my favorites all rolled into one)
6 votives - trick or treat, Strawberry Guava, Fig and white Plum (new one for me and it smells great), Lemon Zest, Pomegranate and an unmarked one smells like a peach or grapefruit :scratchin (smells really good)

Yes, the tulip fields are about 1/2 hour from me. April is tulip festival time. We go every year. They are beautiful!!
I just planted my bulbs for the year this week...I think I put in about 170 of them.

Yahoo!! I just got home from shopping and found a box at my front door from Tamarap! In it was a small Autumn Leaves jar (love that scent), 2 Autumn Wreath votives (love that scent too) and and a stuffed Yankee Candle Boyds Bear holding a Trick or Treat jar candle (never had that scent before).

Thanks SO much Tamara! It is cold and rainy here today and these fall scents always seem to make the house feel warmer!

But, I bet KimRaye has even more ::yes:: :blush: Mine aren't so beautifully displayed but, yes, I have a warehouse. :blush: When I find a scent I like, it's so often discontinued. :confused3 I had a Halloween Black Licorice stash that my Mom just loved! She's already burned the last 2 jars I had. I have some votives tho. ;) I have Pineapple Paradise, Vineyard, Banana Nut Bread, Blueberry Muffin, Watermelon!, Berry Bramble, Christmas Berries, Mistletoe, lots of 'old' scents and, I keep them in a cool, dry closet, packed in the boxes and, my Mom and Dad said that the Black Licorice was the strongest it had ever been -- it sat in my basement closet for probably 2 years (the last time they sold it). Yankee Candles ferment maybe, like wine? :confused3 :rotfl:

:rotfl: Mine aren't displayed so nicely either....hence no comparison picture.

I find the jars last forever....the tarts, not so well. The packages get "gooey" (all that scent oil) and then don't smell as good when they melt....so I am trying to use all my old ones up (some only burn for a few minutes and they smell bad, so out they go). I won't be stock-piling them anymore :( JARS!! jars and more jars :)
