What is the least expensive rental car size I can fit 3 kids in car seats in the back seat? Will they fit in a full-size car, a premium, a luxury? Or do I need a mini-van or SUV? Also, any tips on how I can get the best rate? Thanks so much!

I can tell you that you'll most likely need a minivan, for the room, as well as a place for all your luggage. Usually you can find a much better rate on a minivan than a premium or a luxury. What type of car do you drive at home? If you drive a car with three rows of seats, I'd definately get a minivan. We have two children and find a fullsize a tight fit with all our gear and two car seats. IF you to go mousesavers.com, you will find some good deals on how to get a minivan for relatively inexpensive. Usually dollar is the cheapest about $200/week.

I would vote for the minivan as well. What do you drive at home?

If you are just moving people you could manage with a full size. If you need to put luggage in the car you would need a minivan.

We drive a Honda Odyssey mini-van. But since we are only using the vehicle to get back and forth from parks, hotel and airport, we thought maybe a car would be okay. The rates I've seen while internet searching have been a lot lower for the premium and luxury cars than for a mini-van. We will need it for 9 days in late Jan. Thanks again!
