I am hoping to have my Wedding on the 17th of August 2007, but I haven't yet booked it with Disney. I emailed Randy Chapman as I would like to get him to do the ceremony photos and some photos at the resort. As it will just be my fiance and I, he has said he will do the package for $475, (normally $575) which I think is so sweet of him :goodvibes . My question is do you think he can provisionally pencil himself in for that date?

I've only just started planning the Wedding, but I'm really worried I may lose him to another Wedding, he seems to be one of the most sought after photographers.

Also can someone tell me how much of a deposit you need to give Disney to hold your Wedding date? I would like to do that now, just so I can start making arrangements.

Hiya! The deposit for an Intimate Wedding was $500 (for 2006)
He's definitely sought after, I'd book him as soon as you have your date!

Yes, he can pencil you in but you will have to put down a deposit which can be transferred to another date if you don't get the one you want. You have to have your hotel reservations before you can book an intimate wedding with Disney just so you know. You might want to start there.

We actually got a tentative date from our planner, and then *immediately* booked our hotel reservations! We sent our reservation # to the planner, and then it was a lot more definite!

Randy is really sweet and pencilled my date in before it was confirmed - then as soon as it was confirmed i sent him the deposit!

Randy told me that we can pay our deposit now for our hoped-for date, then we can change it if we need to when Disney can confirm the date. We are looking at 11th Dec 2007.
