So, I booked our Make Your Way Package earlier this week, but didn't do the DDP.
1 - Can I still add the plan?
2 - Is it worth the $$? (Seems like it is from what I've seen here.....) We have 3 kids 5 and under and they won't eat much.

TIA!

1 - Probably
2 - Probably

;)

The Dining Plan is available to be added to many reservations, but perhaps not all, depending which, if any, other discounts are already applied.

The cost for children under age 10 is pretty low, so that probably won't affect whether the Dining Plan is worth it or not. What will matter is whether or not you would eat one sit-down dinner each night even if you weren't on the Dining Plan. If so, then the Dining Plan will probably save you money.

3 kids 5 and under...are there any under 3? if so they are free....to eat off your plate.....this includes Buffets and all you can eat (all though at those places they do end up getting their own plate). But for all the other places if you want food for them without sharing what you get you have to pay for it. So if say the 5 year old wont eat a whole kids meal it can be shared with the under 3 and make better use of things.

Did you book yourself through Disney? than a simple phone call (and payment) should be enought to add it. If you booked through a travel agent they will have to do it. And it seems there has been conversation on here that through some travel agencies dining isnt available. When a travel agency books, the reservation can only be accessed by them not you.

Beth_cam - No, kids are 3, 3, and 5. I booked it myself thru Disney and I figured that we'd be able to add it. I just want to be sure we'd get our $'s worth if we used the DDP. We are vegetarian, so we'll probably use table service at least 1X's a day. Thanks!

Thanks to you too, bicker!

If you are planning to do 1 table service per day (especially if any are buffet lunches / dinners) the DDP could be a good fit for your family.

DDP Kid's age 3-9 is $11
Kid's counter service meals are $4.00
Snacks are $2-$4
Average kid's meal entree $5-6

Without tax and tip you are at least at break even if not ahead a little.

If you do a character dinner

Buffet $12
counter service $4
Snack $2

With tax and tip you come out way ahead.
