OMG....today I sorted thru paperwork and found a WDW envelope that I probably had stuffed between magazines just to hide it from my DD's when the mail came in because the trip is a surprise. The confirmation said the reservation had NO deposit and had to be paid by 8/18.

Unfortunately I had to change my ressies several times as the waitlists cleared for different nights of our stay at OKW. The last change was to take the DDP and one day ticket off our last two nights at BC because the total pkg cost was over the top compared with buying passes for our entire stay and eating OOP. I had a cash deposit on the rooms + Pkg, but didn't understand that they refunded that deposit and did not reapply it to the room only reservation. The room reservation cancelled last week!

Thankfully there were still rooms for Thanksgiving Day and I paid up today. I can't believe I almost messed that up.

As I told someone else last week in another post.....you almost have to have a PhD in WDW to plan a trip these days with all the different packages. Why would they ask for a deposit on one reservation when they had a deposit on another? I don't get that. But apparently they don't require a deposit on a room only - just the packages. You would think it would be the other way around.

Oh well. Thankfully I caught it before it was too late. Although honestly, while I would have been disappointed to not be a the BC and storm-along-bay for my 7 yr old.....I would have been happy anywhere those last two nights.

I've been gone for two days looking at colleges in NH & VT with my oldest. On the way home (after 12 hours of driving over 2 days) all I could think about was getting to my pc and onto DIS. It really is a disease.
