Hello everyone.
Our family (myself, DH and DS's almost 11 and 13) are considering a trip to London over the Christmas holiday. Is anyone familiar with the Jolly Hotel St. Ermin's or Millennium Bailey's Hotel London Kensington? Would you recommend either? Location? Any advice with regard to hotels or apartments is much appreciated. :)

I know the St Ermins very well. It has a good location, close to St James underground station and in walking distance of the Houses of Parliament and Victoria Station. It is VERY old fashioned but that may be what you are looking for. It looks like it has had the bedrooms done up since Jolly took it over which may be a good thing.
I don't know the other hotel but I don't think it's position is as good as the St Ermins.

Thank you mikki. The location of the Jolly does look great. The other hotel is very close to Kensington Palace and looks to be larger. What caught my eye is that if I book air and two rooms at the Millennium together on expedia, the discount is over $1400 for that particular hotel. :faint:
The next thing I need to find out is if either hotel offers connecting rooms.

That sounds like a worthwhile discount! The 'cheaper' hotel is also closer to the musems - science, natural history etc which can be fun for kids. I think you are further away from a tube station but $1400 covers a lot of costs....

I have stayed at the Jolly St Ermins (although when it was a Stakis hotel) and it really is in a great position. just a short quiet stroll from a lot of landmarks
