Value season question

I am trying to decide between taking my kids out of school (again) to go in January when crowds are low, flights are cheap, and resorts are at value season prices, or going around Feb 14th abd staying thru the week of their school vacation. I am wondering why when I compare prices, I am getting quotes exactly the same for Jan 10 - 17th and Feb 14th -21st. Is it because we would check in on Feb 14th which is the last day of value season?

Also, is there a way on the disney website to check availability of each resort other than putting in dates and getting a package quote?

If you check in the 14th, you'll pay the value rate for your entire stay.

My son's last day of school is 2/16, but we're heading down on 2/14 to take advantage of value season rates.

Cool! I was basically doing that thinking we could save some money on flights, but it is good to know we can save a little at the resort too! Thanks! :woohoo:
