I have been playing around with iphoto as we have decided to make books for each of our trips. Only problem, seems there is no way to change the themes. Anyone have any tips for this?
I figure I can add some clipart to include cartoon pics of mickey, stitch, etc. I really wish there was a disney theme! That would be awesome

You choose a theme right in the beginning when you first set up the book. You can also change it from the book 'folder' there is a themes button to the far left of 'buy book'

Some people at the apple forums have not been happy with the quality from Apple. Specifically for the small and medium books.

If you are looking for an alternative
http://www.mypublisher.com/ My Publisher has a iPhoto plug in and their prices are about the same.

You can't change the page style of the books, merely the picture layouts. That being said, I was very happy with my book from Apple, except the first copy of it was lacking 2 pictures. I emailed them and they reprinted it and sent it right out.

What version are you using? I have 06. I just tested it and I can change the theme even after I've filled the book.

I made a book with iphoto a month or so ago and was able to change the page styles, even once the book was complete. I ended up using the travel theme.

Overall I was happy with how the book printed, although there are a couple of full page pictures that are a bit 'streaky' if you look at them closely.

I was meaning that you can not change the themes-as in you don't have any other options besides travel, etc.
I have used iphoto often and love the quality of their books. I just wish they had more options for their themes.

Yes that's correct. I wish they had more themes, but you have to think from their perspective in regards to making your own. They can't legally sell books with Disney clipart images all over it, because they don't own the rights to it. That's likely why they limit people from making their own books.
