Any other Band People?

I have been in band for a couple years and I play the Alto Saxophone, I was wondering if anyone else here joined the Band Geeks. ;) :teeth:

Clarinet, our clarinets are decent here, but there's only four of them....

Our band is like this: 4 Clarinets, 3 Alto Saxes, 2 Trombone, 2 Trumpet, 1 Baritone.

I know the recorder, a little.....I don't like the thing, it makes a horrible sound IMO.

The Piano, I learned how to play a little over the summer.

I'm in marching band, and I watch professional Drum Corps as a hobby! ROFL! (But seriously, you don't have to be a band geek to enjoy that... those big DCI corps are incredible...) :rotfl2:





As far as piano goes... my fingers are too small to play (makes the guitar impossible). I'm obsessed with piano music though... I've made a deal with God that I'll marry whoever He wants me to as long as the guy plays piano! :rolleyes:

I love watching DCI corps too. I've been to the competition in Denver and this year's in Madison, Wisconsin. I miss marching band so much and watching drum corps really helps. In my senior year of high school, my section (flutes :)) made shirts that said "Band Nerd Barbie" on it since we had to twist our bodies like Barbie.

I've been playing the flute for about 11 years and I still love playing. I only joined the pep band because it was the only band at my college and I really wanted to play my flute. My high school bands always had lots of flutes. That made all of us very competitive and very good. (We had 2 symphonic bands and 3 concert bands. The symphonic bands were very selective with only 11 or so flutes between them so the concert bands ended up with about 20 each).
