transferring ressie from disney online to a TA

I transferred my reservation from disney.com to one of the well-known TA from these boards. How long should it take for me to get confirmation from the TA - my online ressie is gone now...

i think its 24 to 48 hours wdw will send something to the ta and they can forward you that

How do you do this? Does your price change? What if you booked it yourself under the free dinning, can you still transfer it to a TA and keep the discount?

This is what I did: I booked a room-only online at disney.com, knowing it's a very busy week (president's week) that I'm booking for, so at this point there's no discounts.

Then, I requested a quote at a couple of the TA's recommended here (chose small world). Their quotes were the same as disney's. I asked what to do if I already have an existing reservation with disney and she sent a form to fax to disney, giving disney permission to transfer my reservation to the TA. Or, she said, I could cancel that one if I was booking a package rather than room-only. I faxed the form yesterday...

Now, I'm just awaiting confirmation from the TA that all is well with my reservation - but, I am a little nervous because at this point it looks like my ressie is GONE online and I haven't yet received confirmation from theTA!

Have you tried contacting your travel agent? Maybe you can no longer pull up your reservation online because it was already transferred to the TA. I know that when you book through a TA you cannot pull up your reservation online to look at it

All is well with my ressie! It was transferred fine to the TA. By the way -AWESOME customer service from her! She called this a.m. as well as e-mailed.
