We did DLP in March for 5 days, and fully exhausted the park, but were looking to return for a couple of nights over christmas, but in order to be able to pay for the trip using my tesco clubcard points we need to book a 4 night stay.
I'm just concerned about the cold, we know we will be and will take all the tnermals etc we took in March(and luckily didn't need) but does the overall festivity of the Christmas season outway the cold. We have three children 8, 3 and 2 who I am sure will appreciate the magic of christmas.
I would love to hear your experiences of the cold/festivities.
Thanks in advance
Nat
Tricky one!! If the weather is just cold, then you will have a great time enjoying all the christmas stuff. But if it's very cold then you might not find it quite so much fun!! If you visit around when the Christmas season starts (Nov 11th) then you stand a better chance of getting "warmer" weather - so only a couple of layers needed, rather than at least five!!!

I went between xmas & ny last Dec and had a wonderfull time. It was -5 most of the time but we were layered up and when we got a bit nippy we went into a shop or indoor ride. The weather just made the decorations even more festive and we have some wonderfull pictures of the castle covered in snow!

we went dec 1st last year cold but very chrisymassy, we are going nov 10th this year as its my birthday, in short i think that it is so so christmassy that the festivities do outway the cold, if its really cold its an excuse to go into a shop to warm up or off for a hot chocolate somewhere! :thumbsup2

We always take enough pocketwarmers/handwarmers.
Mostly there sold in shops for fisherman needs and drugstores.
If the kids need it take a hotwaterbottle.

We went in January this year and yes it was freezing but to us the magic and fun of the parks outweighed it :goodvibes
