January 10-16th 2007 Trip

My daughter and I were planning on going to Disney January 10-16th and staying at the ASM. However, I heard something about a Cheerleading competition going on at that time. Does anyone have any additional info?

I have not been able to get a good solid answer. There are few different cheerleading events taking place in and around WDW from Jan - March. Hopefully, everything will be ok. Where are you staying?

Dear Mrs.viv07,

I contacted Disney via email yesterday and they replied and said I would need to contact varsity.com directly for information. Varsity said that the competition is January 12-14 (Fri, Sat, Sun) . However, it is the 2007 National College Championship so I wouldn't think it would be to bad. I was just worried about there being an abundance of teenagers. I am the mother of a teenager and I know how it can be. Their great kids just a little loud sometimes.

3 days huh? shouldn't be that bad and besides i figure kids who live around the area may go on weekends anyway since they are close by, who know i am glad that we decided to go (finally)

We are either staying at the POP or ASMo. I am undecided. I wanted to stay ASMo because then you can walk to the other AS resorts and check them out. However, I have always wanted to stay at pop. I will let you know as soon as I can make up my mind. LOL Maybe we will have to meet up and say Hello!!

P.S. Did you see the other thread going on about the Cheerleaders?
