What sort of beverages are you allowed to have on the dining plan at the counter service places? DH and I will be on the DDP Oct.1-6 and we don't have a lot of experience with Disney counter service. Hubby doesn't drink soda but enjoys bottled water or unsweetened iced tea (or beer, but that's another thread!). Are these available on the plan?

Thanks!

You can probably depend on iced tea. Bottled water and beer aren't covered under the DDP (you may be able to get one (1) bottled water with a CS meal, but it won't be refillable)

Bottled water is covered on the Dining Plan as a snack credit, though.

Has anyone been able to get bottled water - I'm not a big pop drinker and would rather have the water with my CS meals.

THANKS!

Ty

Thanks for the replies. A few more questions if you don't mind. Is bottled water available for purchase at the CS venues? Also, are you able to get just plain iced water? Or maybe just ice? We'll probably keep bottled water back in the room like we've always done. We don't mind paying extra if necessary, just don't want DH to get dehydrated. At resturants he always gets water with his meal and I'm sure he'll still want to do that dining plan or not.

We used our CS credits twice at the food court at Pop Century and both times we were able to get bottle water as our beverage with no problem. I found Pop to be the easiest use for any credits. The CMs there are such pros. I like that all of the snack options are marked in the food court. I couldn't believe some of the options available as snacks at Pop, like a 2 liter bottle of soda, a family box of donuts, a family size bag of chips. We tried to use our snack credits at CSR and it was very confusing. Nothing was marked at the store or quick food area. Using CS credits in the parks might be a little different though. They do often have tea and lemonaide as their beverages too, along with coffee, maybe apple juice, too. I didn't try for bottle water, as I always have mine with me in the park.

I have never had a problem getting water on the ddp at a cs.

yes, the CS places will definitely give you a cup of water, ice or a combination thereof. I drink *alot* of water and by the end of the day, the bottled water I have brought with me is already gone. I have never had any problems with getting them to give me a cup of water (for free) with a meal instead of ordering a drink (I don't do soda).

Just back from 10 days on the DDP and every place we went that had bottled water on the menu which I think was every one, you could get the water as your beverage.

Are the large bottles of chocolate milk no longer included with CS meals on the dining plan? Dh got chocolate milk with almost every one of his CS meals last year. :confused3

Some places had them on the menu and were available with the DDP.

DW and I are staying at the CBR in October and I was curious if anyone has been able to use credits to get a 2 liter soda. We were hoping to get one or two to keep in the room.

Any info will be helpful

My DS had chocolate milk with literally every single meal (CS & TS) . With most of the TS it was brought in a glass and with the alot of the CS they use cartons of milk...I didn't seem to notice the bottles this year.
