What good souvenirs has anyone brought home? I love the little things that I see everyday that put me in the Disney spirit.

I think the best things are the items you'll use all the time...
Like t-shirts or sweatshirts, key chains, or picture frames that you put up with photos from your trip...
But overall... PHOTOS are the BEST souvenirs...

My photo albums! Love them!
This year I'm going to get from Epcot one of the crystal blocks with my son's picture inside and the castle that light up. I wanted one the last two years and they were too expensive I passed on them but it nags at me so this year i'm going for it!

One of the best souvenirs I ever got was the note/picture holder with wire for holding a note or photos. I leave notes to my kids all the time and they know when they see it sitting on the counter they need to read it right away. I also enjoy writing with a Disney pen.

anything Disney you can't find in the Disney store is just about perfect.

My mom just gave me the set of Disney antenna toppers for my SUV. They're adorable and I can change them all year long. I love the little pumpkin with mouse ears for Halloween and the Egg with ears is so cute for Easter. :) Its nice to take Disney with me every day. If I am dreading my commute, I just look up to the ears! :earsboy:

I agree. I have two that I keep on my computer desk. I got one at Epcot that has spacehip earth with a Nemo, test track vehicle, Figment, and a Mission Space vehicle sticking out of it to hold notes. The other one is a Mickey & friends totem pole one that I got when we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. I still have a tendency to reach over and rub Humphrey's nose, just like we did every morning as we were leaving the Wilderness Lodge. In my computer room I also have the big afghan of the castle (in all it's 50th anniversary glory) hanging on one wall. I haven't done it yet, but I also have the cross stitch picture of the castle with Mickey and Walt walking up toward the castle. It will also be hung in my computer room, if I ever get time to do it. My snow globes are my prized posessions though. They're on my mantle and in my entertainment center shelves. I also love my rug I got in Morroco and phen shai cats, the dragon, and the lion dogs I got in China. People coming into my house may not know they're from Epcot, but I do and am reminded every time I see them. I also have a little figurine of Figment holding spaceship earth. I just love that dragon! My computer mousepad is from the Happiest Celebration on Earth celebration. This past May I was in the toy store in DTD and found the cutest little beanie babies. They were the Disney characters dressed in outfits from each country in the world showcase. For some reason I only bought Goofy from Canada and Pluto from the United Kingdom (in a kilt). I hope they still have them when I return next month. I plan on getting one for each country. I also have several figurines scattered around the house that I bought in the Art of Disney store.

Out of all the money we have spent on souveniers... the best was for the monorail magnet. You press a button and it gives you the spiel!
The kids looooovvvvveee it! And so do I .. gives us a little Disney fix!

I bought a sterling silver bracelet last week that I love. It's flip flops with tiny Mickey heads on them. It doesn't scream, "I went to Disney World", but it's pretty and a gentle reminder of how good it feels to be there. Last year I bought the Mickey head earrings, and I wear those every day. I like to have that "touch of Disney" with me:).

We don't have a lot of souveniers or Disney trinkets around the house all year long, but we always get a Disney ornament that reminds us of our trip. The first time we went to Fantasmic, we got a Sorcerer Mickey ornament. On our first trip we got a photo frame ornament. Last year we got a castle photo frame ornament. We always write the year of the trip on the ornament and it brings back great memories when we hang them on our tree.

Hi.
I am also interested in where you got that magnet. My son is fascinated with the monorail. I think he would be content to ride it all day.
Thanks,

I want to know too! You def. will never see figurines or snowglobes around my house, im not a fan of dusting around stuff, but i have a magnet for every place we have ever been on vacation. Thank goodness i have an outdoor fridge and an extra freezer because all those magnets on my kitchen fridge would look funny.

I love our Happiest Celebration on Earth CD set. I think it was about $25., and it is a 2-cd set with the theme music from the parks and rides. My favorite is the music from main street in MK. My kids love to listen to Splash Mountain and Test Track.
It is a great way to transport yourself!

We like the small stuff, too...
We do the pressed pennies and pins with years on them & the pins we have from guided tours, which we display in a wooden typesetter's tray.
For some reason, we have this wacky collection of antenna toppers--not just Disney but all kinds of toppers, including a New Year's Eve Jack-in-the-Box. I don't know how we acquired it; :confused3 we've never even been to one!
We send Disney postcards to ourselves every day, recording small moments of the trip that we might otherwise forget. We write them during lunch/snacktime in the parks. It's great to go home and receive mail from our vacationing selves!

I love my snowglobes at home, but I have several items at my office that make me happy. I have a castle/monorail pencil holder that plays music and the monorail goes around the castle. Bought that at the bookstore @MGM some years ago. Another Mickey pencil/notepad holder and several tape dispensers (Peter Pan/Tink and Mickey) and a Mickey stapler. I have one side of a file cabinet that's only visible from my desk that has Disney magnetic bumper stickers on it.

My favorite princess is Jasmine, and I had the hardest time finding Jasmine stuff when I was in Disney, but the one thin I did find was a jewlery box that is a figure of jasmine in a periwinkle ballgown (well, it's actually her little belly shirt and a full skirt :goodvibes) and a little below her waist she comes apart and makes a little jewlery box. It was under $20 and they had a lot of the princesses. I got it at the shop in my hotel and it's my favorite. I'd suggest getting one on your nest trip!

We have bought pieces of pewter from all our trips since we have married. Has anyone seen a pewter piece with Walt and Mickey like the statue or a nice Cinderella Castle. First trip coming up and we do plan on shopping at DTD.

I love collecting the park cd's. Besides the official one's, I have Fantasmic, Haunted Mansion, Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, Wishes & the Candlelight Processional.
I also collect the plastic popcorn tubs. These are a big hit at home. My nephew uses them to put his popcorn in at home, I use them for storing change, etc.
I also collect the Mickey antenna toppers. Have one for each month (plus some), so every month there is a new one. Have a pumpkin for September, Ghost for October, Pilgrim for November, etc.
Have some Mickey pens, which I'm looking at right now.
I also bought the holiday houses last year. Have the castle, fire station, Casey's and the store. LOVE looking at these, as it helps me remember the actual buildings.

We bought it at Mickey's Star Traders in Tomorrowland during our 2004 trip! I think I will buy another one if I see it during our next trip as a back up!

My favorite souvenier was found at the shop behind the castle (Tailor Mickey's??).... I saw it sitting on a display, I picked it up, hugged it and turned to show my parents. My mom said she had to buy me anything that put a smile that size on my face! :teeth: (Did I mention that I was probably 25 at the time?) Anyway, now I have proudly on display -- a stuffed "animal" of Captain Hook! pirate: I looooove him! Feather in his hat, sword and all!

These are the things we have gotten the last few times we have gone:
- a Christmas ornament with the year on it
- a photo album with the year on it that we fill with our photos from the trip
- pins with the year on them for both of my kids
- fridge magnet of something significant from our trip
Last year, I bought the CD from the Candlelight Processional, which we attended for the first time.

The best souvenir for me is the denim jacket with embroidery on the back. It is a very nice quilted jacket, has an "MK" monogram on the left side of the front, snap closures and knit band at the bottom. On the back is a large, beautiful picture of the Magic Kingdom embroidered right in the center. It is a great jacket - I wear it every day in the winter.
It cost $65.00 which by Disney standards was a bargain!

All of my ideas were already said!
Definitely do a Christmas ornament from each trip. We always smile and remember as we decorate the tree.
Also, antenna boppers are the best! Does anyone else want to wave and smile when they see another car with a "mickey bopper"? My DS6 and I always yell "MICKEY BOPPER" when we see one!!
We also stock up on Tshirt for the upcoming year!

Last time we were there, I splurged and bought a nice watch. It doesn't scream Disney World, but when I am having a bad day at work, I check the time and remember the first time I took my son to the Happiest Place On Earth!

My favorite is the Christmas ornament I got at MK. It's a big glass ball Mickey head and they personalized it "(Last name) Family Disney Vacation" and then the year.
I also love my photo albums... I get one that's dated so that we can keep track of which year we took that particular trip.

We attended the Christmas Party while we were there on our last trip and my DH took the cutest pic of my DD and I while waiting for a ride, we both had on our Mickey Christmas Sweatshirts with Mickey ears! Anyway, for Christmas he got me a mug with that picture on it so every morning while I drink my coffee I remember what a truly magical experience my DD had on her first trip to the world!

I got a frame that has foam around it to display pins on. It's really cool and I hope I can find another.

I use Mickey pens at work all the time. This year, I brought them back for a few coworkers! It is the thick blue ballpoint with the autographs printed on it and the icon Mickey head on top.
I am not a fan of the snowglobes, either. They are beautiful, but I feel I don't have a place to display them. I do have 2 sketches of Belle & Beast framed on my walls. I also made a shadow box from some of my pins. They are all Dopey pins, in a shadow box with a postcard pic of he dwarves. I did a similar thing for DF with sorcerer Mickey.

Hi, my family always brings home t-shirts from the resort we stay at. This year my daughter started collecting pins, and we look through her collection all the time.

My older son collects pins that I think is a great little souvie. They are inexpensive and take up little room and do not need tending to such as dusting like most.
We also have an awesome collection of Mr. Potato head parts. Again a cute, fun, inexpensive items that can be put into a bucket again not a lot of upkeep.

I've got my little snowglobe collection displayed me at the moment. This is my favourite thing to buy while on vacation. This time though I'm looking forward to getting some CD's of park soundtracks and perhaps a nice peice of jewelry. I also like the things you can use everyday. Like last time I was at DL, I got a snow white wallet so I get my Disney reminder everyday! I guess anything that gives you that little spark of Disney magic while you're stuck in reality is worth having!
