Hi.
We are planning to go to Disney from 10/27/06-11/4/06. We have already made our DVC reservations at Old Key West. We just found out that the MNSSHP dates of 10/27,10/30 & 10/31 are sold out. My kids are very disappointed because they are missing Trick or Treating at home and now they won't be able to do that at Disney. Is the party so great that it would be worth it to try and change our dates? Are there any other opportunities for kids to trick or treat?
Thanks so much,
Christal

Wow, how did you find out that all three are already sold out already? Are you sure? I'm sorry if its true.
You could always do Downtown Disney or Boardwalk for Halloween.
I just checked online and you can still buy all 3 of those nights. :confused3

Thank you so much!! I just ordered the tickets with the link you gave me for 10/30/06. I previously called the 407-W-Disney number and they told me that the nights of 10/27, 10/30, and 10/31 were sold out. You literally made my day!! My kids are going to be so happy that they are going to "Mickey's Halloween party". I am so glad I posted this here or I would never have found out there were tickets still available.

Hi.
I read your post to my 6yr old DS. He wants to be a Clone Trooper from Star Wars in the worst way. I have tried to convince him that he will be so hot if he wears this costume in Disney. He is very much into Star Wars now. There are no Star Wars costumes I have found that seem to be lightweight. I am stumped as to what to suggest to him...Any ideas? My daughter has a lightweight Tinkerbell costume, so I don't have to worry about her!!
Thanks,
Christal

How about suggesting he dresses up as a pirate like in pirates of the carribian?

I was surprised to hear the in park halloween party is sold out but came up a possible alternative for kids to trick or treat. I've been following the Ft. Wilderness threads and it would seem that folks there count on having candy for trick or treaters. Combine this with the campfire singalong and a possible hayride and it might be a good way to have halloween. Just a thought because we plan on having bowls of candy at our campsite for any kids that come along.

Just FYI... when I was talking to CRO a few days ago, the woman told me the same thing- 10/27,10/30 & 10/31 were sold out. I was kind of panicky since we are trying to get a last minute trip together and will need to buy tickets in a few weeks for the dates right before those and if dates are already selling out, that would really worry me.

If the costume has a mask to it he may not be able to wear the mask. Going to MNSSHP and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Hallow Scream and know that is the rule for one or both of them so that may help you in convinving him to get another costume.
