I am new to this board and want to figure out whether it's still possible to rent some time for Dec 16-19 at a DVC resort. It seems that most owners have to put their reservations in many months ahead. Does this mean that it's too late to find a person able to rent their points? Any help would be appreciated. I know the RCI system well know and am an owner of a week, but this seems different.

Your best bet might be if an owner has a ressie that they are no longer going to use, and want to rent that whole reservation. It wont be as flexible as making your own, but it might be the only choice at this point.

You might be better served asking this question on the Rent/Trade board.

Questions are not allowed on the rent trade board, but posts with your wants and needs are. Why not post what it is you are looking for over there, and see if you get any responses.

And scan through the Reservation for Sale/Rent ads as well. Someone may have the dates you need. Even if you find someone with points to rent, there may not be any availability at this point, so renting these points would be fruitless.
