I could not figure out where to post this, so here it goes. :sunny:
I thought this would be fun. On our last day last week we gave away a few things. We gave away a unopened 12 pk of diet coke, a stryofoam cooler with about 6 waters in it, and our fan/water sprayer from Walmart (made a little girl very happy :sunny: )

:wizard: I have given away left over snack credits (bought a family just checking in mickey bars on the same day we were checking out). We also buy 1-2 pool noodles per trip and then give them away on our last day. Also, we gave a light up necklace to a little boy watching the MNSSHP parade with us as it was our last night. :wave2:

The only thing I can really think of are fastpasses. Many times we get a fast pass and then change our minds and don't want to hang around that particular park anymore, so I've gone to the entrance to the ride and given folks fastpasses that would be much sooner than the ones they were about to get.

DH had a convention where there were about 8 bottles of wine left over (unopened). They told him to take it... we are not wine drinkers, so we just left it in our resort room when we checked out. I wonder if housekeeping had a party???

Last year, on our way out of the resort on our last day, we gave a Mom with a few kids some bottled water and juice boxes that we had leftover. Proviously, my son gave away his Pluto balloon that he got at MNSSHP.

On our last trip my kids and I gave away over 700 lightsticks to kids near us during night time events (Spectro, Fantasmic, Wishes, Illuminations, resort pool, etc).
Kids love them and the parents are always shocked when they're offered for free. Sometimes it's hard to convince them that you don't want anything in return. You can really strike up some nice conversations with folks over of a simple little gesture like that.
I give 'em out at home as well. Anywere there are kids at night like fireworks or baseball games.
We also give away unused fastpasses.
Sometimes they are hard to get rid of too. People are too suspicious. It took us quite a while to get rid of 5 RnR & 7 TT FP's.
It's sad that people just don't expect strangers to be nice for no particular reason.

My DD gave her balloon away once. We left a ton of snacks in our room our first trip. Learned that lesson.
This Christmas we plan on being in Epcot. We hope to buy some paper flowers in Mexico and hand them out as Christmas presents. Spread some pixie dust.

Definitely fastpasses. If we haven't used them, I always hand them to someone else. It amazes me how some people look at me sideways for offereing, though. It's Disney people - be friendly!

Last trip, we gave away lightsticks. I agree that the families are always so shocked. We live in a small town where everyone smiles/waves as you pass, so it is hard to see people who do not experience that every day.

Thanks, I drank it by the fireplace in the lobby. :smooth:
Fastpasses. One time I was at the front Desk at WL because I had lost $40 in Disney Dollars, I knew I had lost them that morning at the bathroom by WWC, so I thought what the heck--& they were turned in :wizard: And there was a little boy there who had lost his backpack, His mom said when they checked in the lobby was packed & she was sure someone must have grabed it by mistake, but nobody had turned it in & he had a new toy in it he had bought with his own money. So I gave him half of my Disney Dollars, I figured I should spread some pixie dust too. Saw the family at the end of the trip & still no backpack.

I was wondering if a bunch of Southern Baptists had the room next. :rotfl2:

We give away the lightsticks every trip. This past trip we had a minnie mouse costume and a tinkerbell costume that my neice wore to the princess breakfast. On the last day of our trip we found two little girls in the parks that were about her size and gave them away. The mothers couldn't believe that we were just giving them away.

This might not count since I live in Orlando. Over the past two years, I've given away about 30 gift baskets to folks visiting WDW and sent about 20 stuffed animals to sick kids I heard about on the DIS. It was a lot of fun and very rewarding.

We have made up pixie packs to give to disers at POP the same time as us. We are also going to give away glowsticks. :thumbsup2 I think the Disney dollars story is wonderful, you probably restored faith in humanity for at least the mother, how thoughtful!

We've given away - unused diapers, pool floats, beach balls, and on the last trip, 2 passes to Busch Gardens. Two people in our group got sick so we gave their tickets away at the front gate of the park (the tickets were prepurchased and had an expiration date) . I don't think they believed us and looked a little hesitant to use them going in. I think they made sure we got in 'safely' first! We've also given away the occasional band-aid and neosporin!!

At the parks, I have given away pins and fast passes. At home, we have helped out the Bert's Big Adventure charity with a lanyard filled with pins for each of the kids going on the trip to WDW over the last 3 years. I could never have done this without the MANY helpful donations of pin traders from around the world that have helped us with this project. Almost a hundred kids have been spoiled in the past 3 years. These kids would never have gone to WDW without the charity. We've given away...
A peg perego stroller
Fast Passes
Lots of food..chips, beer, juice
Stickers
Cards with different Dis lover websites..like this one
Lots of advice...if I overhear a conversation where people need info about the Dis then I will politely offer my advice/knowledge. Most people are shocked but grateful!
I like the glow stick idea...gotta do that this time!

When we went to WDW with a friend and her 3 boys, we had bought them each a Mickey Antenna head, on the way out of the parks...we gave them each one, and told them to find a car with out of state plates and put the mickey head on the antenna. They had a great time choosing the "right" car.

On our honeymoon we left some snacks and sodas in our room with a note to housekeeping to enjoy, and on our trip in June we left some groceries in the condo for the housekeeping/maintenance staff. Oh, and dish detergent for the next guests.

We always try to find someone coming in to give our Unofficial Guide to. I buy a new one everytime, so I like to give it to newbies.

At WDW we gave 5 FPs for Test Track, to a family arriving on the bus. They were thrilled!
Each summer when we visit the USA we stay in the same hotel in Houston. I always leave my extra booze and the novels I've finished while there. Now I'm known there for doing this. I wonder if they fight over who gets to do our final cleaning.

We almost always have FP to give away since DH doesn't do the RnR, ToT or MS. I usually sit out with him and the kids go on the attraction. If they don't want to do a repeat ride with our FPs, I look for a couple to give them to.
We also give glow necklaces and bracelets away at the night time events. On our last trip, DD and I were returning to the Poly from Fantasmic! and we gave away the ones that we were wearing to some little girls on our overcrowded bus. At least their parents were able to see where they were on the dark bus.
A few years back, I had 2 $50 GCs for "The Kitchen" at the Hard Rock Hotel in Universal Studios. I had gotten them for only a few dollars each from a radio station promotion. Only one GC could be used per party. Our meal there was so horrible that I gave the second GC to another family that was dining there when we were. To say that they were flabbergasted would be an understatement.
We also donate regularly to Give Kids the World. It's a resort located outside of WDW which is designed for the use of families of children with life-threatening illnesses.
