I am taking my wife to Disney for our 15th anniversary  (staying at the WL in early November)and would like to do several things special for her. If any wives had a great expierence courtsey of thier dear husband (yes, were all dear in our own way) I would love to hear about it (were dear not necessarily original). Thanks.

When DH and I were dating we watched the fireworks from MK in a beach hammock at the Poly with champagne, just the 2 of us. Then stayed to watch the water parade go by. We were staying there at the time. Could watch the water parade from the small beach area at WL too. Take a blanket, the breeze is cool-cold coming off the lake!

Also the hot tub at the quiet pool is nice late in the evening. We go there with a plastic glass (plastic glass.....hmmm oxymoron?) of wine and wind down after a day in the parks. We've met some great people doing the exact same thing!

We got married on the 4th floor terrace at WL (03/02). If it's open there's a great view of the pools and the lake-maybe hit the snack bar or room service and do an impromptu picnic?

I'm so jealous! Good luck!

When we went for our 15th. DH sent flowers to the room-He used 1800flowers.com but I believe WDW has a Florist, we did Room Serve for Breakfast 1 morning. & bought me a watch. For him I surprised him with the Future World Tour I knew he would love seeing the Firework Barges ;) But something I wished we would have done was a fireworks cruise. Maybe for our 20th :teeth:

My dh & I celebrated our 15th anniversary this past May at WDW. Since this was his first trip to WDW he didn't know what to expect, but he did surprise me a few times with gifts. Not sure when he bought anything because you would have figured we were glued to each other, but he managed to do it a couple of times.

Gifts are definitely high on the list (and for me they don't have to be expensive, but that depends on your wife).

Also - make sure you mention that you are on your anniversary at any sit-down dinner or lunch (you might get a "certifiable magical moment" certificate - we got a couple and they look great in our scrapbook). Also, at MK make sure you go over to City Hall and tell them you are celebrating your Aday - they'll give you buttons to wear and every CM will congratulate you both!

Oh and you could see about having Mickey & Minnie call her to wish her happy anniversary. A CM set it up for us and Mickey & Minnie called us. It was cool!

Happy anniversary!! And have lots of fun!

Hugs,

My wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary with dinner at Victoria & Alberts. It was the most magical night and best dinner we have ever had.
V&A is very $$$$. We also celebrated our anniversary a few years ago with dinner at California Grill and then we watched Wishs from the outside CG on the walkway. :)

If you are looking for seafood. I highly recommend Fultons Boat House downtown disney. I would nt say it is highly romantic as in abviance but the King crab claws are very great! Great table service, they will take care of you. And of course high $$$$$ I debating on going for my birthday while we are there.

Couples massage appointments would be in definite order!

OMG!!! Yessss! I second that!

I am not much of a seafood person... I like crab cakes, sometimes shrimp, and scallops. But I LOVED the king crab claws!!! Soooooo good! :worship:

DH and I are going for our 2nd anniversary on 9/10. We are having dinner at the Poly and then we are going to watch the fireworks from the beach with some champagne. We are also going to take a carriage ride at Port Orleans with some choclate covered strawberries. We pulled out our mickey and minnie wedding pins from our honeymoon and will be wearing those everywhere we go. We got free drinks, desserts and some gifts. Be sure to mention you are celebrating your anniversary. WE WILL!!!!

We disneymooned 2 years ago and couldn' wait to get back. May you and your wife have a lifetime of great memories.

That sounds fabulous!!! I might have to try that this trip if it's not too cold in January!

Thanks for the tip! :teeth:

Does your wife like Pearl jewelry? What DH did for our anniversary was he took me to the Pick a Pearl stand on the Boardwalk. Then he chose the pearl, I chose the setting, and they set the pearl in a ring. Since I don't have an engagement ring (my choice), I wear this where it would go. What was really romantic was that they give you the ring after it's set, but you have to let it "cure" (or whatever) for 24 hours. At the end of the time, DH presented it and put it on my finger just like we were getting engaged.

DH and I went to CRT for dinner one evening. He told them ahead of time that it was our anniversary and they had Mickey head confetti sprinkled all over the table when we arrived. They also presented us with engraved champagne glasses that said Cinderella's Royal Table and a certificate.

Here is another idea ... you could schedule a his and her massage at either the GF or SSR.

I have friends who rave about Grand Floridian private dining. You do not have to be staying at the resort. You would call GF dining, and you set up a place at the resort to have your meal. There are some lovely terraces outside, or I'm sure they can recommend something indoors, as well.

When you set up any dining reservations for your trip, be sure to let them know it's your 15th anniversary. They will mark it on the reservation and each restaurant you dine at will then know you're celebrating something special! pixiedust:

We always celebrate our Anniversaries at WDW, espically since WDW was the second half of our honeymoon :thumbsup2

First of all, when making your resort reservation or dining reservations, tell them it is your wedding anniversary. It does not gurantee that they will do anything, but it does not hurt. Last year we were upgraded to teh Victorian Suite at the GF for our Anniversary. The CM's sent us an Anniversary certificate and signed pics of Cinderella and Prince Charming.

I order flowers from the WDW florist. I have to say the flowers are spectacular. They are fresh, and just stunning. I have a beautiful Mickey Mouse vase as a keepsake from an arrangement last year. The flowers that it came in cost $85. I know it sounds like a lot, but I have never seen a bigger more colorful arrangement. It must have been almost 4 feet tall! The vase is so nice to have, my DH fills it up with flowers for me.

If you love seafood, I would recommend Blue Zoo in the Dolphin. I am a seafood lover and am used to fresh seafood (living on an island and all) and Fulton's was less than OK. It's also more of a family restaurant. Blue Zoo is more adult and it would be a much more memorable meal. Victoria and Alberts needs no explanation, it would be fabulous. We go often, but sometimes, I just don't feel like packing the extra clothes to go there. Citrico's is another great choice for dining. We go every trip and it is wonderful, both food and service! Another good choice is Cali Grill.....but not during Wishes. Go during the sunset.....believe me....it is beyond words. Not only is the restaurant quiet, but the sunset views from up there are just sooooo beautiful and they last a long time. My DH and I had a very romantic dinner there last year. We held hands sipped wine and watched the sun go down in a peaceful restaurant. ALso Citricos, Blue Zoo and Cali grill has a dress code of Business casual....easier packing. The GF also has Mizner's, which is a great place to go after dinner.

Last year my DH ordered champagne, drew me a bubble bath with stuff he bought at the GF Spa. I wnet into the tub with the bottle of champagne and the TV remote :rotfl2: and he said he would be back in a little while. I didn't know it but he went out shopping and he bought me presents. He bought me a beautiful snowglobe (minie and mickey on a red heart) and a diamond tennis bracelet....the diamonds are set in little mickey heads. We had a lovely evening at V&A's after that.

There are so many things you can do....couples massage at the spa, champagne and strawberries, private dining - actually you can have a private dinner anywhere you would like. You can do a wishes cruise and you can have the boat all to yourself and you can also have an anniversary cake on the boat. I love going to the evening EMH at the MK and staying till closing. The parks is empty and it's kinda spooky and romantic at the same time.

There's lots to do!

Can you explain what EMH is? It's probably something I've heard a million times. lol!

DH and I are going w/o our children for the first time.... excited but feeling guilty at the same time. Honestly, I haven't had much time to come up with romantic ideas and I'm not sure if he has either.

There are so many abbrevaitions, sometimes I forget them too. I dunno why, but I always have to think about it when I see CR (Contemporary Resort).

You all have great ideas. We want to do them all. :)

For our anniversary last month we did the Couples Massage at Mandara Spa at the Dolphin. You can check out our report with pics on our blog. It's the post dated August 18.

When we celebrated our 25th anniv. this past July, it coincided with the opening of
Pirates 2. My DH took me to WDW so I could see the latest Disney blockbuster in
Disney World. Pretty great, huh? We only stayed a few days and we never left the
Downtown area. It was wonderful. Frequent Flyer miles and HiltonHonors made it a
pretty inexpensive trip(relatively speaking). You guys have your moments!

When we honeymooned @ WDW 10 years ago, they had horse drawn carriage rides available at Ft. Wilderness (I assume the still do). We had a bottle of champagne & timed it so that we could see the fireworks @ MK through the trees. Very nice!

For our 9th anniversary we had dinner w/Chip, Dale, Mickey & Minnie @ the Garden Grill. Low key, but the characters made a big fuss over us & that was fun!

This year on our 10th anniversary we had dinner @ Teppanyaki (sp?) to celebrate and had a cake. I picked up a cake topper and they decorated the cake w/sprinkles & then added our topper. We ordered the cake through the restaurant, and it was enough for all 8 people at the table -- so we were able to celebrate w/everyone there that night.

Other random thoughts...
--Chocolates from the confectioners on Main Street @ MK or Downtown Disney. The strawberries dipped in white chocolate are tooooo delicious! :cloud9:
--Cirque du Solei tix & a nice dinner @ Downtown Disney
-- Dinner @ Cinderella's castle & arrange to have a tierra/glass slipper delivered to the table for her. (A friend of mine did this for her Mom & she said there wasn't a dry eye at the table!)

It really depends on your wife, what she likes and her preferences. (As you can tell...my preferences run towards food!)
