View Full Version : Do you know what the hardest thing about planning this convention has been?

Picking the characters for the character breakfast – LOL – but I’m not kidding… Mickey and Minnie is an easy choice but the other 3? Think, think, think…. I’m at a lose to find the absolute best combination that makes everyone happy? I’m going to pick a Princess as one, first I thought Cinderella, but Belle in her gold dress really fits the holiday motif. Then if Belle is going maybe Beast – but I don’t know he is not as popular. I also was thinking Buzz and Woody – they are such a fun pair as they work off each other and are very silly, and then I could invite Sarg along to work off the 2 of them as the threesome is a riot and would be very funny, but I still want the Princess and that is too much Toy Story. Chip and Dale forget them – we see them all over the place! Donald and Daisy – that maybe fun and you hardly ever see Daisy. OH – I forget about the new Monsters Inc – maybe Sully? We can’t get any of the Pooh characters. So I’m asking for input and I will look at what y’all think and take it from there. Of course my decisions are subject to change and last minute substitutions by WDW.
Thanks for the help!

I'd love to see Buzz and Woody because they aren't available at any other character breakfast.

It does not matter to me...and since I have no small children.. it makes no difference here.. Let the ones who truly have a preference vote here..

Ooooh, I think Buzz and Woody would be good too! Always popular characters, but like Nancy says, you can't get them anywhere at a Character Meal.
If the 3rd is to be a Princess I guess I would vote for Belle :)
Penny :)
Yikes Linda what a tough decision...hmmmmmm
Since I am kidless this trip I do not care, but I think that characters who usually play of off eachother would probably be the best...We are a pretty crazy group, so the nuttier the better...lol
You are right though about Chip and Dale....not them please!
I like Donald and Daisy. They are so cute with their little tails sticking out back. As for a princess, I like Belle. But, I'm more of a fan of the classic princesses: Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty. But, I don't have kids either. So anyone is fine with me. Thanks, Linda! :D

Mickey and Minnie are my favorites!! So it will be great to have them both :bounce: :bounce:
I also love Donald and the penguins from Mary Poppins!

Mickey and Minnie are my favorites too.....and since my children won't be with me, I don't really care. I think any of the Fab5 would be great.....oh, and Mary Poppins herself! ;) :)
So that was another vote for Donald, or Goofy, or Pluto....and Mary Poppins. :)

Mickey, Minnie, Buzz, Woody, and Belle are great choices. It covers favorites of boys and girls of all ages. Oh, but Sully would be a treat too. Why don't we lose the puch and get Sully. LOL, just kidding. You're doing gtreat Linda. What ever you decide. I'm so excited!

This is a tuff one for sure!! Really, any of them will be great! But since you asked, here's my take.
Mickey and Minnie are a MUST!! ;) I tried for Cindy's, but couldn't get it so any Princess would be great!!!! I'd love either Buzz/Woody combo, but wouldn't be disappointed at all with Donald/Daisy!

We are going down without kids but I think Belle would be wonderful. She is one of my favorites. Woody and Buzz would be fun too. But whoever you get will be fine. We have been to WDW a dozen times but never been to a character breakfast so I am excited. Oh and thanks Linda for all the hard work and putting up with all my emails.

You know who I hardly ever see is Tigger. I think I have seen him once in the parks. I have no Kids either so whomever you choose is fine with me.

Sign me up for the "No Children" club, so any of the characters that anyone else preferswould be fine! "Monsters Inc." was such a wonderful movie, Sully and Mike would be neat!
p.s. Thank you again for all your hard work!

I wold love to see Daisy. For obvious reasons;) My 8 yo dd loves her and we have never seen her at the parks. Every time I have to say that she's on vacation or some other little white lie. I know one family that would be overjoyed with Daisy. I think Belle would be good or Jasmine. Buzz and Woody would be good too.

I'd really like the Buzz/Woody combo. They work so well together.

Well no kids here and my favorite disney characters are Lady and the Tramp. You don't want them at breakfast though, because we would like to be able to eat something too.
I vote for Belle because she was my character at the animation exhibition at DCA. Have never seen Woody and Buzz together but they sound great as I think Toy Story is a great movie.
Or something else to give thought too. Do we want silent or talking characters?

As for my take, definitely Mickey & Minnie. Belle would be okay or Jasmine.
As for my favorite...it's Pooh, but you said we can't have any Pooh characters, so any of your choosing will be fine.

Wow, big decisions. I am not travelling with any young children, DD is 14 and a tigger and eeyore fan, so I made ps's at the CP before MVMCP. But I think Belle would be nice for the girls and her gold dress would go nicely with a holiday theme. Woody and Buzz would be a great combo for all the children, those three with Mickey and Minnie would be wonderful.
But being the kid at heart that I am I will be happy with any of the Characters

There are a few characters that I would love to see that I have never met before.
Glo would be one of them. And I think that Patrick would be a good character to interact with Glo. Sorta like Beauty and the Beast. With of course, Glo as the most beautiful Beauty. I say this just in case some mean person says that she bites people.
So many choices.
What ever you chose is fine with me, Linda.
Thank you and everyone for your hard work.

LOL Ray!
Well, let's see. I have always had a "thing" for Belle. Or is that the Beast? Decisions, decisions......
For a change of pace, how 'bout a villain?

How about a VILLAIN Linda??? :bounce:

Jafar is one of the scariest villains, IMHO....but the guy from Mulan scares me the most!

Tia: Once me and DS#2 were pratically chased away from Epcot by the hun guy! We were heading towards International Gateway and he came looking very scary. We walked faster and he followed us faster. As we passed the turnstiles, he stayed on the other side doing menacing gestures! My son started to make faces for him cause he couldn't follow us anymore. Very funny, but I wouldn't like to cross with him on a deserted path...
I think I would like to meet Belle AND Woody AND Buzz!!!!

How about Peter Pan? He is my and my 4 year old's favorite character and he is nearly impossible to find. In fact, Matthew was just asking tonight if we'd see him at Cindy's, but unfortunately, he's not even there much anymore. :( I would LOVE to see him this trip! I really love the face characters because you can have so much more interaction with them. Actually, I think my vote would be for Belle, Snow White, and Peter Pan to go with Mickey and Minnie. Since it's so hard to get a PS at Cindy's, this would be a great opportunity for a lot of folks to see some of those characters. :)

I know I am a broken record, but I would love to se Jiminy Cricket.
Always my favorite.
Buzz and Woody would be great, and if a princess, snow white was just released, she would be nice to have. as long as she wouldn't confuse the shorter folks with her dwarfs!

HMMM let me think, tough choice, OH I know.....................
TIGGER TIGGER TIGGER TIGGER TIGGER TIGGER TIGGER TIGGER TIGGER TIGGER
a villian would be cool too.

We can't have any of the Winnie the Pooh characters as there is some type of trademark restrictions on their use in the parks.
Mini(meaning small) characters like J. Cricket and Tinker Bell are also not done.

It's too bad there is such BIG Red Tape for characters! :( :(

I think it is because Disney does not own the rights to these characters. I am not sure about winnie the Pooh but I know that the copyright owners of Peter Pan guard it nearly as hard as Disney does their characters.

Hey Wendy!
Peter Pan is featured prominently in the Share A Dream Come True parade at the Magic Kingdom, if you can fit that into your schedule.

I had heard that he was, and I can't wait to see the new parade for the first time! Something tells me that I'll be dragging my poor family to see that parade over and over and over. Peter Pan and snowglobes together! (My other obsession!) :D
