I've heard that the COP or Carousel of Progress is going to be shut down and the Hoopty Doo Musical Review showings some of those will be cancled

Only the 9:30pm performances of the Hoop-Dee-Doo are being canceled. Plus these cut backs are only temporary which may have just been for the month of October or the beginning of November.

2 of my favourites, the Carousel of Progress and Port Orleans French Quarter have gone, :( :( :( , and no one really expects them to come back.

Its kinda ironic that the only attraction Walt personally worked on is closed during a celebration of his life, isn't it? :mad: :mad: :mad:

Carousel of Progress has been on the road to destruction for years now because of the decline of performance of the system that helps make the CoP the ....well....Carousel of Progress. It is just to costly to repair or even to try now to help it along, so they decide to close it.

Yeah, like everyone else said...

the park hours are much shorter and we usually ate at the restaurants when the park was closed, so we always had to take a bus to Downtown Disney and then one back to the BW. We did a lot more traveling on the buses, but it was still fun!

there's a security check before you enter each park too

Thank you for telling me what is gone! i am not suprized bout Port Orleans, sicne i am from New Orelans, i really couldnt care more for that resort! and carousel of progress i alwayz likes ;O( ehy yall Go see harry potter it is great! later yall!

Disney is now reversing some of thoses changes like added more hours to the parks.

they cant just close one of disneys most popular resorts (please no statistics on how popular it is, i know a lot of people love it) port orleans should open again around the christmas season

About the Carousel of Progress: The motor that it runs on was dying and there was no way to replace it. So they mainly closed it because of that.
