Thanks all! We had a blast! Everest is fabulous! We thought it was better than the Mummy. (We spent 5 nights at the Contemporary, 4 nights the Hard Rock, 2 nights at DoubleTree DtD and 1 night at the Castle DoubleTree near Universal. DH has Hilton Honors Rewards.)

We had room 8109, DH requested it. I would request it again. I usually like close in, but it really wasn't too far. WONDERFUL view! The resort itself was great. Laundry room got really humid when the dryers were running. The slide was fun and the food court had a good selection.
Room 8109 is in the North building at the very back (pool side). Great very of the lake.

Hi Lori,
So the North Wing isn't too worn then? I know it hasn't been rehabed.
Thanks for the reply glad you had a good trip and welcome back!

Connie -- Well, let me think. DH did make the comment that it wasn't like staying at AKL because AKL was very new and new "clean". Sure there were some things that seemed worn, but I've seen worse at the Poly. Some of the things I liked about the room were that behind the bathroom door was an old bottle opener. They have coffee makers and refrigerators in the room. I didn't have to call and ask; I liked that.
Lorie -- Everest is why we desided to go to Disney for a few days and not just do Universal (free dining helped). Everest was so worth it!
