Crowds in on Monday's in September

Our family is planning to go to disney the 6th-13th of September. We have decided to try to do Universal on Monday the 11th of September. What are the crowds like then and do you have any advice for a newbie to Universal. We only have one day and want to see as much as possible. We like all types of rides but will probably avoid rides for young kids. We love water rides and some coasters. Any advice would be great! :cool1:

Ok, I have heard alot of rumors. Can someone please tell me if BTTF and Jaws will be closed on September 11th? If so would it be better just to go to IOA instead since we will only have one day?

i posted a similiar question about crowds a week or so ago. from what i was told crowds shouldn't be an issue. As for the rides you mentioned i would just call Universal to find out whether there scheduled to be closed.

I haven't been in a very long time but I wouldn't go for IOA over USF just because BTTF and Jaws wouldnt be available (not that I know that they'll be closed). However if I were in a coaster kind of mood I'd go for IOA over USF.

Just a suggestion...if you are only getting a single park ticket you can make the decision for which park you are going for that day based on what you know in a closer timeframe to your day of departure. Based on my last trip IOA would suffer more from the closure of a big ticket ride than USF...but of course that's jmho.

Oh I forgot...I believe the water rides and the coasters are in IOA. So if its thrills and chills you want then IOA is your park. USF is more of a dark ride type of park. Other than Jaws I can't think of an outdoor ride in USF. And I believe the crowds aren't bad after Labor Day anywhere.
